Thank you for choosing a Scorpion product.
Please read the present manual carefully to familiarise yourself fully with the
alarm system features and operating procedures and do keep it handy for
future reference.
The following signal words are used throughout this manual to emphasize
important instructions or special information.

2.2 - Override touch key
The override key is a simplified remote control. In emergency situations
(remote control lost or inoperative), it can be used to arm/disarm the alarm or
trigger/stop the panic alarm (selectable feature, factory enabled).
To use the override key, simply touch it to its receptacle. The receptacle
incorporates a LED warning light that serves as both a system status indicator
and a visual theft deterrent.
2.0 - ALARM CONTROL DEVICES
The 2-button remote control and the override touch key are used to operate the
alarm system.

3.0 - ALARM OPERATION
3.1 - Arming
Press remote control button 1 or touch the override key to its receptacle to
arm the alarm. Arming is confirmed by a 2 short Beeps. The LED turns ON
steady.
3.2 - Passive immobilisation (For reference only)
The alarm has a feature called passive immobilisation, although the
immobilisation circuits of the alarm system are NOT used on a caravan
installation passive immobilisation will occur. Passive immobilisation will
activate 40 seconds after the ignition is turned OFF or the alarm is disarmed,
in this state the alarm is not active. Opening a door with a wired door contact
connected during the 40 second arming delay will cause the procedure to
interrupt; it will resume once the door is closed. Passive arming is confirmed
by 2 Beeps and the LED will start flashing quickly. To disarm passive engine
immobiliser, turn ignition ON and press any remote-control button or with the
ignition off arm the alarm in the normal way.
NOTE: When passive immobilisation is active the alarm is in the disarmed
state and will not trigger on any circuit.
3.3 - Wired Door Contact
If, during the arming process, a door with a wired door contact is opened or
incorrectly closed, a BOP will sound after the arming confirmation tones.
The alarm will arm but an alarm condition will be triggered after the arming delay.
3.4 - Arming delay
There is a 20 sec. activation delay from the time the system is armed.
During the arming delay the LED is ON steady it will start flashing as soon
as the system will be fully armed. Optional module inputs
are immediately enabled.
3.5 - Siren exclusion (mute alarm) (For reference only)
During the first 4 seconds of the arming delay, the siren can be excluded
by pressing remote control button 2, this feature is not suitable to be used
on caravan installations.
Override key
2.1 - Remote control
The remote control has 2 different function buttons each of which corresponds
to a control signal that activates a selected action according to the operational
condition and alarm configuration.
The textured button is for arming/disarming the alarm while the smooth button
is used to exclude or trigger the siren.
The remote control has a low charge battery indicator that gives you early
warning to avoid malfunctioning. When the batteries are fully charged, the LED
will show a steady light at the press of a button. If the batteries are too weak for
normal operation, the LED will start blinking at the press of a button.

3.10 - Neutral time between alarms events
3.6 - Motion sensor exclusion
It is recommended if you are traveling by ferry that the alarm is not armed as
the motion sensor could trigger the alarm system.
To disable the motion sensor arm then disarm the alarm or with the alarm
disarmed press the simulated ignition switch on then off, after 40 seconds
you will hear two Beeps.
The alarm is now disabled and all sensors motion sensor, ignition sense,
battery disconnection and door contacts switch are DEACTIVATED.
Arm the alarm as normal to restore normal operation.
3.7 - Full Arming
After the 20 sec. arming delay, the alarm is fully armed and ready to detect any
alarm event. The LED will start blinking to confirm the armed state.
3.8 - Alarm events
If an alarm condition is detected during the armed state, the siren will sound for
approximately 30 seconds, the red LED on the receptacle will turn ON steady. The
following conditions will trigger the alarm:
When the alarm condition ceases, the system returns to the armed state.
To mute the siren during an alarm condition, without disarming the alarm, press
button 2.
To comply with the regulations in force aimed at limiting noise pollution
Save power and maximise the caravan’s battery.

When the alarm cycle is over, any further alarm condition will be ignored for 8
seconds; the LED will be ON steady. After this time interval, the system will
return to the armed state confirmed by the blinking LED.
3.11 - System disarming without alarm memory
Press remote control button 1 or touch the override key to its receptacle to
disarm the alarm. Disarming is confirmed by 3 Beeps and the LED will turn
OFF.
3.12 - System disarming with alarm memory
An alarm event detected while the system is armed will be signalled upon
disarming by 2 Bops.
The last cause of alarm can be identified by observing the status LED:

3.9 - Limiting acoustic signals
Alarm conditions caused by a sensor will trigger a maximum of 8
consecutive alarm cycles during any armed period. The siren will then be
automatically be excluded for the following reasons:

Panic alarms can be triggered as many times as necessary, but at least 5
sec. must elapse between 2 consecutive alarms. Pressing button 2 will
immediately trigger the siren for 30 seconds.
To turn OFF the panic alarm, press button 2 again.
5.0 - SLEEP MODE ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION
If the caravan will be sitting idle for long periods of time, the alarm can be
switched off (Sleep Mode) to preserve battery life.
To activate Sleep Mode, proceed as follows:
Press the simulated ignition switch ON; the LED will light up for
approx. 1 second.
Touch the override key to its receptacle within 4 seconds. A Beep will
confirm the alarm has been turned off.
Press the simulated ignition switch OFF.
To restore normal operation, press the simulated ignition switch ON and then
OFF.

7.0 - REPLACING REMOTE CONTROL BATTERIES
Separate the shell
halves taking care
not to damage the

and insert the new
ones taking care not to
invert the polarity.
Close the plastic
shells and make
sure the remote
works properly.
6.0 - USE AND MAINTENANCE
Care should be taken to protect the electronic alarm system:
Do not clean the alarm with water but use a damp cloth to wipe.
Do not expose the alarm to heat sources.
Do not use voltages other than the one specified by the manufacturer.
Protect the alarm from any direct water flow, such as a high-powered water
jet found in a car wash.

8.0 - WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
The present device falls within the field of application of the current WEEE
Directive. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the equipment or on its
packaging indicates that the product, at the end of its useful life, must be
discarded separately from other waste to allow adequate treatment and
recycling.
The user must therefore take the equipment, at the end of its useful life, to an
appropriate waste collection facility.
If the batteries are running low the status LED will blink at the press of a button.
To replace the batteries proceed as follows:
