•I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on choosing this quality SCOTT product. Before use read carefully the follow-
ing instructions. Please keep these instructions in safe custody. This specific product line has
been developed to offer you the best comfort and engineered fit.
•II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
These SCOTT Gloves are considered to be items of Personal Protector Equipment (PPE) of
Category I and as such are subject to the requirements laid down by the European directive
89/686/EEC. The CE marking may be allocated by SCOTT only once SCOTT Gloves has under-
gone an “EC Type Examination” or “Certification Procedure” at a notified European body.
The SCOTT Gloves in this information sheet undergo EC certification at the Notified European
Body, Ricotest (NB 0498), via Tione 9, 37010 Pastrengo, Italy which certifies that our products
meet the requirements of directive 89/686/EEC.
•III. INTENDED USE
These SCOTT Gloves are strictly limited for the respective use indicated by the pictograms on
the approval label (see chapter VI. Info on product). These SCOTT Gloves are only meant to
improve the grip on the motorcycle handlebar and to offer limited protection against atmo-
spheric agents as well as against dirt while riding a motorcycle. Therefore, they are to be con-
sidered PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) belonging to Category I, which means that they
provide protection against minimum risks, as stated in the Directive 89/686/EEC.
•IV. USER RESTRICTIONS
APPLICATION AREA & LIMITATION OF USE
SCOTT Gloves:
These SCOTT Gloves are designed and manufactured to provide limited protection against the
risk of impact in the event of a fall. All SCOTT Gloves provide a limited protection only in areas
covered by the glove. SCOTT Gloves intend to protect the hand from external impacts without
reducing the user's ability to operate the motorcycle controls. The knuckle protection- if pres-
ent - is meant to cover the area of all four knuckles and is intended to offer a limited impact and
abrasion protection of the back of the hand from accidents or sudden collisions with objects.
LIMITATION OF USE
These SCOTT Gloves do not safeguard against traumas caused by twisting, torsion or extreme
movements. They provide this mentioned limited protection only in areas covered by the
gloves. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints arising from using the gloves for oth-
er purposes than that indicated in the present information notice.
MISUSES
We recommend that the SCOTT Glove is not left outside or exposed to low temperatures
before use. Any product modifications may cause the loss of protection and therefore they are
considered as improper use. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept complaints or replace SCOTT
Glove that have been used improperly.
•V. WARNING
No SCOTT Gloves can offer full protection against injury.
Any contamination, alteration to the SCOTT Glove or misuse could dangerously reduce the per-
formance of the SCOTT Gloves.

CARE INSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL CONTENT
This product contains no known harmful substances: it is not known to undergo alteration from
contact with sweat or with substances likely to be found in toiletries and is not known to cause
any harm to human skin and body. The product does not contain any hazardous substances.
Find detailed material on the care label on your garment itself.

•VII. HOW TO ADJUST YOUR SCOTT GLOVES
CHOOSING YOUR CORRECT SIZE
It must be chosen in reference to the size indicated in the following size chart or on the SCOTT
Gloves itself. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints arising from the use of an incor-
rect fitted SCOTT Gloves. Please bear in mind that a trial of the glove before purchase is the
best way to find the correct size of your glove.

SCOTT GLOVES POSITION AND FIT
For a SCOTT Glove to work properly, it must cover the protected area correctly. The gar-
ment must be the correct size, chosen from the manufacturer’s size chart. SCOTT Gloves are
designed to stay firmly in contact with the hand. Straps and elastic bands should be fastened
tightly to guarantee stability of the SCOTT Gloves during use. Check that all closure systems are
securely closed. The SCOTT Gloves should fit snugly but not too tight. For maximum protection
and safety, the SCOTT Gloves should not cause any discomfort. Gloves should be worn over or
under the jacket sleeves so that the sleeves and cuff overlap; they must not slip off easily even
in the event of an accident. Wear, dirt or any kind of damage may compromise their efficiency.
•VIII. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Contamination with foreign substances and improper care can seriously compromise the effec-
tiveness of your SCOTT Gloves and reduce its performance :
Do not expose your SCOTT Gloves to direct sunlight.
Do not expose your SCOTT Gloves to extremely hot and cold temperatures like those found in
a closed car or outdoor storage.
Hang your gear dry and away form direct heat sources.
SCOTT recommends to store your gear at a temperature between 0°C and 30°C. The gear
should be cleaned accurately before putting it away for long periods. Keep it in its original
packaging for the storage and for the transportation. If your product deteriorates as a result of
exposure to heat it or improper storage it is not covered by any SCOTT warranty.
CLEANING
Washing instructions are indicated on the SCOTT Gloves itself. Remove any dirt with a damp
cloth and mild soap, up tp max. 3 washing cycles. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Do not use
hair dryers or other heaters. Do not use solvents or toxic substances to clean it.
CHECKING
It is recommended to regularly inspect (in any doubt please ask an expert or your friendly
dealer) your gear and to replace it at least every three (3) years as of first use and to ensure it
is correctly stored according to the information provided by SCOTT Sports SA. After a strong
stroke on the protection it is recommended to replace it. The protection they offer could
be reduced due to mechanical wear or improper use. Before use, please check the SCOTT
Gloves for any damage to the straps, stitching and pads. Dispose of the product if you notice
any damage.
DISPOSAL
Dispose of the products in the domestic waste. Do not mechanically disrupt or incinerate the
product. This may lead to potential hazards.
