SCOTT NERO PLUS HELMET INSTRUCTIONS
(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
This helmet was developed solely for bicyclists. This helmet is not suitable for moped riders, motor-
cyclists, or any other applications. The Nero Plus Helmet has a CPSC marking and complies with the
safety standard required for the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission ; a CE mark-
ing that indicates it conforms to Directive 89/686 for the PPE Category II ; a ASTM marking that indi-
cates it conforms to ASTM F1952-15 Downhill standards for Downhill Mountain Bicycle racing. Accord-
ing to standard EN 1078 the peak acceleration of this helmet for each impact does not exceed 250 g.
•I. INTRODUCTION
Please carefully read all instructions regarding the application, use, storage, care, cleaning, and
safety of your helmet. This helmet is based upon the latest technologies in order to guarantee
maximum protection. These instructions are an important part of the product and must be kept
for future reference. Intensive tests guarantee that SCOTT helmets comply with the diverse reg-
ulations of international safety standards in the areas of shock absorption, breakage, and shell
damage. You will find the corresponding safety labels and notes in the interior of your helmet.
•II. WARNING – SAFETY
WARNING !
This helmet, and bike helmets in general, are constructed in such a way that the helmet shell
is partly destroyed upon impact in order to absorb impact energy and to protect your head.
Therefore the helmet has to be replaced and destroyed after it has sustained a significant blow,
even if no damage is noticeable. Please also keep in mind that the material of the helmet can
be penetrated by sharp objects.
WARNING !
No helmet can protect the user from all injuries in all accidents, in particular in collisions with
motor vehicles. Depending on the strength of impact, even an accident at very low speeds can
cause significant injuries or death.
This helmet was developed to protect your head. It does not offer protection from injuries to
the neck, the spinal column, or other body parts capable of being affected by an accident.
WARNING !
Do not modify or remove any of the original parts of your helmet in any way contrary to the
recommendations by SCOTT. Any liability claims shall be precluded in the event of incorrect
use. Some SCOTT helmets are equipped with a detachable visor system. These systems ensure
that the visor immediately disengages in the case of a fall or other impact events. The attach-
ment of these visors does not damage the material of your helmet in any way.
WARNING !
The helmet should not be worn by children while they are climbing or engaging in other similar
activities, as the risk exists whereby the helmet straps could choke the child.
WARNING !
This product has a limited lifespan and for optimum safety SCOTT recommends replacing your
product three (3) years after purchasing date. SCOTT shall not be liable for damages arising
from the use of a helmet which should have been replaced.

This product is not a toy. It is sports equipment and is designed and intended for sports.

•III. PROPER FITTING
TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE FIT, YOU SHOULD PHYSICALLY TRY THE HELMET ON
IN THE STORE PRIOR TO PURCHASE TO FIND THE EXACT SIZE THAT BEST SUITS YOUR
HEAD. To determine the proper fit of your helmet, measure your head size by passing a tape
measure around your head approximately 2 cm above the eyebrow line. Use the largest mea-
surement from this process.
Select the helmet size that closest matches the measurement. Since helmet sizes do not always
match perfectly with basic measurements, use the helmet size that fits snugly, but without pressure
points. SCOTT Sports SA shall not be liable for any damages and losses due to improper fitting.
TRYING ON THE HELMET – FINDING THE RIGHT SIZE
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE FIT OF THE HELMET BE SNUG FOR
IT TO PERFORM PROPERLY. Grasp the chinstraps (see diagram 1)
and expand the helmet opening. Slide your head into the helmet.
If the helmet does not fit snugly or if the helmet feels loose in any
way, you should try a smaller size. To check for proper fitting, place
the helmet on your head. Make sure the helmet lining fits snugly
around your head and that the cheek pads are pressed close onto
your cheeks. There should be no space between your brow and the
lining. Take hold of the helmet on each side and try to move the
helmet up and down as well as side to side (see diagram 2). You
should feel the skin on your face and head being pulled along with
the helmet. If the helmet is able to move freely without rubbing your
skin, the helmet is too large and you need a smaller size.
PROPER TIGHTENING OF THE CHIN STRAP
Proper tightening of the chinstrap is critical to the functionality of this helmet. If you are able
to pull down on the fastened chinstrap from under your chin and create slack, it is not properly
fastened through the D-Rings. Follow the steps below to ensure proper fastening.
RETENTION SYSTEM CHECK
Fasten the chin strap such that it is as tight as possible without
choking. There should be no slack and the strap should fit snugly
under the chin. Place your hand on top of the helmet and attempt
to push the helmet off by rolling it forward. Next, place your hand
on the chin bar and attempt to push the helmet off by rotating it
towards the rear. If in either case, the helmet is able to come off
your head, do not use this helmet and find a better fitting size, or
check that the chin strap is securely fastened. These steps should
be repeated until you are able to find the right size helmet for you.

CORRECT FITTING
Make sure that the helmet fits correctly as shown below, the helmet must NOT be too low or
high on the head because it will interfere with your line of sight. Eyes should be central to the
eye aperture. Please note that the visor found in our off-road helmets is adjustable. Try the off-
road helmet with the visor in all positions prior to purchase in order to satisfy yourself that the
helmet meets your requirements. SCOTT Sports SA shall not be liable for any damages and
losses due to incorrect fitting.
•IV. CARE AND CLEANING
Clean your helmet with a soft cloth or sponge, warm water, and mild soap.
WARNING !
Helmets are made of material that can be damaged by many traditional cleaning agents. Sol-
vents or cleaning agents with a petroleum base are particularly dangerous. These can damage
the helmet to such an extent that its protective ability is significantly compromised. Damage is
often not noticeable. SCOTT Sports is not liable for any damages caused by improper cleaning.
•V. TRANSPORTATION & STORAGE
When transporting or storing keep your helmet in the soft bag supplied in the retail box. Let
your helmet air dry after each use and then store it in a cool dry place. Excessive heat can
damage your helmet. In direct sunlight, dark equipment cases or trunks of automobiles can
become so hot as to cause heat damage. Heat damaged helmets are recognizable by uneven
or blistered surfaces.

Dieser Helm wurde ausschließlich für Fahrradfahrer entwickelt. Er eignet sich nicht für die Ver-
wendung auf Mopeds oder Motorrädern oder für sonstige Einsatzbereiche. Der Nero Plus Helm
hat eine CPSC-Kennzeichnung und erfüllt die erforderlichen Sicherheitsstandards für die United
States Consumer Product Safety Commission; eine CE Kennzeichnung entspricht der Richtli-
nie 89/686 der Kategorie PPE II; eine ASTM Kennzeichnung entspricht ASTM F1952-15 Down-
hill Standards für Mountainbike Downhill Rennen. Gemäss des Standards EN 1078:2005 darf die
maximale Beschleunigung bei jedem Aufprall des Helms höchstens 250 g betragen.
•I. EINLEITUNG
Lesen Sie sämtliche Anweisungen zur Verwendung, Lagerung, Pflege, Reinigung und Sicherheit
des Helms sorgfältig durch. Dieser Helm gewährleistet durch den Einsatz neuester Technologie
maximalen Schutz. Diese Anweisungen sind ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Produkts und müssen
aufbewahrt werden. Helme von SCOTT werden intensiv getestet und entsprechen den verschie-
denen Anforderungen internationaler Sicherheitsnormen bei der Stoßabsorption, der Bruchfes-
tigkeit und dem Schutz vor Beschädigungen der Helmschale. Die entsprechenden Sicherheitszer-
tifizierungen können Sie den Etiketten auf der Helminnenseite entnehmen.
•II. WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
WARNUNG !
Dieser Helm ist wie Fahrradhelme im Allgemeinen so konstruiert, dass die Helmschale bei
einer Stoßeinwirkung die Aufprallenergie durch teilweise Zerstörung abfängt, sodass Ihr Kopf
geschützt bleibt. Daher darf der Helm nach einer erheblichen Stoßeinwirkung auch dann nicht
mehr verwendet werden, wenn er äußerlich keine Beschädigung aufweist. Darüber hinaus kann
das Material des Helms mit scharfen oder spitzen Objekten beschädigt werden.
WARNUNG !
Ein Fahrradhelm bietet keinen Schutz vor sämtlichen Verletzungen bei allen Arten von Unfäl-
len, insbesondere bei Kollisionen mit motorisierten Fahrzeugen. Je nach Stärke des Aufpralls
können Unfälle selbst bei niedriger Geschwindigkeit zu erheblichen oder sogar tödlichen Ver-
letzungen führen.
Dieser Helm dient ausschließlich dem Schutz des Kopfs. Hals, Wirbelsäule und andere bei Unfäl-
len häufig in Mitleidenschaft gezogene Körperteile werden durch den Helm nicht geschützt.
WARNUNG !
Nehmen Sie mit Ausnahme der in den Empfehlungen von SCOTT genannten Fälle keinerlei
Veränderungen an den Originalteilen des Helms vor, und entfernen Sie auch keine Originalteile.
Bei unsachgemäßer Benutzung sind Haftungsforderungen ausgeschlossen. Einige SCOTT-Hel-
me sind mit einem abnehmbaren Blendschutz ausgestattet. Bei einem Fall oder Aufprall löst
sich dieser Blendschutz automatisch, damit Verletzungen vermieden werden. Beim Anbringen
des Blendschutzes wird das Helmmaterial nicht beschädigt.
WARNUNG !
Der Helm darf nicht von Kindern bei anderen Aktivitäten wie Klettern usw. getragen werden,
da die Gefahr der Strangulierung besteht.

•III. GUTE PASSFORM
Um sicherzustellen, dass der Helm bestmöglich sitzt sollten Sie den Helm vorm Kauf im
Geschäft probieren, um die exakte Größe für Ihren Kopf zu finden. Um die optimale Größe für
Ihrem Helm zu finden messen Sie Ihren Kopfumfang, indem sie mit einem Maßband ca. 2 cm
überhalb der Augenbrauen um den Kopf legen. Wählen Sie die Helmgröße die Ihrer Messung
am nähsten kommt. Da die Helmgröße nicht immer mit der einfachen Messung übereinstimmt
wählen Sie die Helmgröße, die bequem auf dem Kopf sitzt und keine Druckstellen verursacht.
SCOTT Sports SA ist nicht verantwortlich für jegliche Schäden und Verluste, die aufgrund einer
schlechten Passform auftreten.
ANPROBE DES HELMS -
DIE RICHTIGE HELMGRÖSSE FINDEN
Um einen einwandfreie Funktionsfähigkeit des Helms zu gewährleis-
ten ist es zwingend notwendig, dass die Passform des Helm komfor-
tabel ist. Öffnen Sie den Kinnriem (siehe Diagramm 1) und ziehen Sie
die beiden Enden leicht auseinander.
Der Helm lässt sich nun leicht über den Kopf ziehen. Wenn der Helm
nicht komfortable sitzt oder sich in irgendeiner Weise locker anfühlt
wählen Sie eine kleinere Größe. Um die optimale Passform zu über-
prüfen ziehen Sie den Helm auf und stellen Sie sicher, dass das
Innenpolster angenehm an Kopf anliegt und das die Wangenpolster
an den Wangen anliegen. Es sollte kein Platz zwischen der Augen-
braue und dem Innenfutter vorhanden sein. Fassen Sie den Helm an
beiden Seiten und versuchen ihn hoch und runter sowie nach links
und nach rechts zu bewegen (siehe Diagramm 2). Sie sollten das
Innenfutter in Ihrem Gesicht und am Kopf spüren. Wenn sich der
Helm frei bewegen lässt ohne an der Haut zu reiben ist der Helm zu
groß und Sie brauchen eine kleinere Größe.
KORREKTES SCHLIESSEN DES KINNRIEMS
Das korrekte Schließen des Kinnriems ist entscheidend für die Funktionalität dieses Helmes.
Wenn Sie trotz geschlossenem Kinnriem in der Lage sind den Kinnriem zu bewegen und somit
den Helm zu locker ist er nicht korrekt durch den D-Ring geschlossen. Folgen Sie den Schritten
unten um ein korrektes Verschließen zu garantieren.

PRÜFEN DES SICHERUNGSSYSTEMS
Schließen Sie den Kinnriem so fest wie möglich ohne das es unange-
nehm ist bzw. Würgereflexe auslöst. Es sollte keine Raum zwischen
Kinn und Riem geben und der Riem sollte angenehm am Kinn anlie-
gen. Legen Sie die Hand oben auf den Helm und versuchen Sie den
Helm runterzuschieben, indem sie ihn nach vorne rollen. Als nächs-
ten umfassen Sie den Kinnriemen und versuchen den Helm durch
rotieren nach hinten abzusetzten. Wenn Sie in der Lage sind bei
einem der beschriebenen Fälle den Helm von Kopf zu schieben ver-
wenden Sie ihn nicht und suchen eine besser sitzenden Größe oder prüfen ob der Kinnriem
sicher verschlossen ist. Diese Schritte sollten Sie so lange wiederholen bis Sie einen Helm in der
richtigen Größe gefunden haben.
KORREKTE PASSFORM
Versichern Sie sich, dass der Helm wie oben dargestellt korrekt sitzt. Der Helm darf NICHT
zu niedrig oder zu hoch auf dem Kopf sitzen, da dies Ihre Sichtlinie beeinträchtigen kann. Die
Augen sollten sich zentral vor der Augenöffnung befinden.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Visier in unseren OFF-Road Helmen verstellbar ist. Probieren Sie
den OFF-Road Helm mit dem Visier in allen Positionen vor dem Kauf, um sicher zu gehen, dass
der Helm Ihre Anforderungen erfüllt. SCOTT Sports SA ist nicht verantwortlich für jegliche
Schäden und Verluste, die aufgrund eines inkorrekten Passform entstehen.
•IV. PFLEGE UND REINIGUNG
Reinigen Sie den Helm mit einem weichen Tuch oder Schwamm, warmem Wasser und einer
milden Seifenlauge.
WARNUNG!
Das Helmmaterial kann durch herkömmliche Reiniger beschädigt werden. Insbesondere dürfen
keine Lösungsmittel und Reiniger auf Mineralölbasis verwendet werden. Hiervon kann der Helm
so schwer beschädigt werden, dass die Schutzwirkung erheblich beeinträchtigt wird. Mit blo-
ßem Auge ist die Beschädigung häufig nicht zu erkennen. SCOTT Sports übernimmt keine Haf-
tung für Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Reinigung entstehen.
•V. TRANSPORT UND LAGERUNG
Bewahren Sie den Helm zur Lagerung und zum Transport in der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen
Tasche auf. Lassen Sie den Helm nach der Benutzung an der Luft trocknen, und bewahren Sie
ihn an einem kühlen und trockenen Ort auf. Übermäßige Hitze kann den Helm beschädigen. Die
Gefahr übermäßiger Hitze besteht beispielsweise bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, in dunklen
Aufbewahrungstruhen und im Kofferraum eines Autos. Eine hitzebedingte Beschädigung des
Helms kann an Blasen und Unregelmäßigkeiten auf der Helmoberfläche festgestellt werden.

(À LIRE ATTENTIVEMENT)
Ce casque a été élaboré exclusivement pour les cyclistes. Ce casque n’est pas adapté aux
conducteurs de cyclomoteurs, aux motocyclistes ou autres utilisations. Le Nero Plus est cer-
tifié CPSC et répond aux standards de sécurité requis par la commission américaine de sécurité
des produits grand public (United States Consumer Product Safety Commission) ; il est égale-
ment certifié CE, ce qui indique qu’il se conforme à la directive 89/689 pour le PPE Categorie II
; il est enfin certifié ASTM ce qui indique qu’il est conforme au standart ASTM F1952-15 Down-
hill, pour la pratique du VTT de descente. Conformément au standard EN 1078:2005 l’accélé-

tuent une partie importante de ce produit et doivent être conservées pour référence. Une série
de tests intensifs garantit la conformité des casques SCOTT avec les diverses réglementations
des normes de sécurité internationales en termes d’absorption des chocs, de rupture et de dété-
rioration de la coque. Les étiquettes et notices de sécurité correspondantes se trouvent à l’inté-
rieur de votre casque.

AVERTISSEMENT !
Ce casque, ainsi que les casques de vélo de manière générale, sont conçus de façon à ce que
la coque du casque soit partiellement détruite en cas d’impact afin d’absorber l’énergie de l’im-
pact et ainsi protéger votre tête. Aussi le casque doit-il être remplacé et détruit après tout choc
considérable, même lorsqu’aucune trace de dommage n’est visible. N’oubliez pas non plus que
des objets tranchants peuvent pénétrer à travers le matériau du casque.
AVERTISSEMENT !
Aucun casque ne peut protéger l’utilisateur contre toutes les blessures et lors de tous les acci-
dents, en particulier lors de collisions avec des véhicules motorisés. Selon la force de l’impact,
même à très faible vitesse, un accident peut entraîner des lésions conséquentes, voire la mort.
Ce casque a été élaboré pour protéger votre tête. Il n’offre aucune protection contre les bles-
sures infligées au cou, à la colonne vertébrale ou à d’autres parties du corps susceptibles d’être
touchées lors d’un accident.

Ne modifiez et ne retirez aucune pièce d’origine de votre casque de manière contraire aux
recommandations de SCOTT. Toute revendication de responsabilité sera exclue en cas d’uti-
lisation inappropriée. Certains casques SCOTT sont équipés d’un système à visière amovible.
Ces systèmes garantissent le décrochage immédiat de la visière en cas de chute ou d’autre
impact. La fixation de ces visières ne détériore en aucune façon le matériau de votre casque.

Ce casque ne doit pas être porté par des enfants dans le cadre d’activités de type escalade car

•III. USAGE PRÉVU
Pour assurer la meilleure adéquation possible, VOUS DEVEZ PHYSIQUEMENT ESSAYER LE
CASQUE dans le magasin avant de l’acheter pour trouver la taille exacte qui s’adapte le mieux
à votre tête. Pour déterminer le bon ajustement de votre casque, mesurer votre tour de tête
avec un “ruban à mesurer” environ 2cm au dessus de la ligne des sourcils.
Sélectionnez la taille du casque qui se rapproche le plus de la mesure. Certains casques ne
correspondent pas toujours parfaitement aux mesures de base, utiliser la taille de casque qui
s’ajuste parfaitement, sans points de pression. SCOTT Sports SA ne sera pas responsable des
dommages et des pertes dues à un montage incorrect et un mauvais choix de taille du casque.
ESSAI DU CASQUE - TROUVER LA BONNE TAILLE
Il est impératif que l’ajustement soit parfait pour accomplir son tra-
vail de façon adéquate. Saisissez la jugulaire (voir schéma 1) et élar-
gissez l’ouverture du casque. Faite glisser votre tête dans le casque.
Si le casque ne s’adapte pas parfaitement ou si le casque n’est pas
bien fixé, vous devez essayer une taille plus petite. Pour vérifier si le
montage est correct, placez le casque sur la tête, assurez-vous que
la doublure du casque s’adapte parfaitement autour de votre tête et
que les coussinets des joues sont bien positionnés. Il ne doit y avoir
aucun espace entre votre front et la doublure. Prendre le casque
avec les mains de chaque côté et essayez de déplacer le casque
vers le haut et vers le bas ainsi que sur les cotés (voir schéma 2).
Vous devez sentir la peau de votre visage se tirer. Si le casque est
capable de se déplacer librement sans frotter votre peau, le casque
est trop grand et vous avez besoin d’une taille plus petite.
SERRAGE ADÉQUAT DE LA JUGULAIRE
Le serrage adéquat de la jugulaire est essentiel à la fonctionnalité du casque. Si vous êtes en
mesure de tirer sur la mentonnière fixée sous votre menton et de créer du mou, il n’est pas fixé
correctement à travers les anneaux en D. Suivez les étapes ci-dessous pour assurer une fixa-
tion adéquate.

VÉRIFICATION DU SYSTÈME DE SERRAGE
Fixer la mentonnière de sorte qu’elle soit aussi serré que possible
sans vous empêchez de respirer. Il ne doit y avoir aucun jeu et la
sangle doit être bien ajustée sous le menton. Placez votre main sur
le dessus du casque et tentez de pousser le casque vers l’avant.
Ensuite, placez votre main sur la barre de menton et tenter de
pousser le casque vers l’arrière. Si dans les deux cas, le casque est
capable de se détacher de votre tête, il ne faut pas utiliser ce casque
et vous devez trouver un meilleur ajustement de taille, ou vérifier
que la jugulaire soit solidement fixé. Ces étapes doivent être répé-
tées jusqu’à ce que vous trouvez la bonne taille de casque.
CORRECTION DU MONTAGE
Assurez-vous que le casque s’adapte correctement, comme indiqué ci-dessus, le casque
ne doit pas être trop bas ou trop haut sur la tête, car il pourra interférer avec votre vision.
Les yeux doivent être au centre de l’ouverture. S’il vous plaît noter que la visière trouvée
dans nos casques hors route est réglable. Essayez le casque horsroute avec la visière dans
toutes les positions avant de l’acheter afin de vous assurer que le casque répond à vos exi-
gences. SCOTT Sports SA ne sera pas responsable des dommages et des pertes en raison
d’un mauvais montage.
•IV. ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE
Nettoyez votre casque à l’eau chaude et au savon doux à l’aide d’un tissu doux ou d’une
éponge.
AVERTISSEMENT !
Les casques sont fabriqués à base d’un matériau susceptible d’être endommagé par de nom-
breux agents de nettoyage classiques. Les solvants ou agents de nettoyage à base de pétrole
sont particulièrement dangereux. Ces produits risquent de détériorer le casque au point de
mettre considérablement en péril sa capacité de protection. Les détériorations sont souvent
difficiles à déceler. SCOTT Sports n’est responsable d’aucune détérioration provoquée par un
nettoyage inappropriée.
•V. TRANSPORT ET STOCKAGE
Lorsque de son transport ou de son stockage, conservez votre casque dans le sac en tissu
doux fourni dans son emballage. Laissez votre casque sécher à l’air après chaque utilisation
puis rangez-le dans un endroit sec et frais. Une chaleur excessive peut endommager votre
casque. L’exposition directe aux rayons du soleil, les boîtiers sombres ou les coffres d’auto-
mobiles peuvent générer une forte chaleur susceptible d’endommager votre casque. Les
casques détériorés par la chaleur sont reconnaissables par la présence d’irrégularités ou de
cloques sur leur surface.

Questo casco è stato sviluppato esclusivamente per i ciclisti. Questo casco non è idoneo per
l’uso con scooter, motociclette o per altre applicazioni. Il casco Nero Plus ha una marcatu-
ra CPSC e rispetta gli standard di sicurezza richiesti dalla Commissione per la sicurezza dei
prodotti per i consumatori statunitensi; una marcatura CE che lo indica conforme alla diretti-
va 89/686 per la categoria II PPE; una marcatura ASTM che indica che è conforme alle norme
Downhill ASTM F1952-15 per le competizioni di discesa in mountain bike. Secondo la normativa
EN 1078 il picco di accelerazione di questo casco ad ogni impatto non eccede i 250 g.
•I. INTRODUZIONE
Leggere attentamente tutte le istruzioni relative ad applicazione, utilizzo, conservazione, cura,
pulizia e sicurezza del casco. Questo casco si basa sulle più recenti tecnologie per garantire la
massima protezione. Queste istruzioni sono una parte importante del prodotto e devono esse-
re conservate per riferimenti futuri. Test intensivi garantiscono che i caschi SCOTT sono confor-
mi alle diverse normative degli standard internazionali di sicurezza in materia di assorbimento
dell’urto, rottura e danneggiamento dell’involucro esterno. Le relative etichette di sicurezza e indi-
cazioni sono disponibili nella parte interna del casco.
•II. AVVERTENZA – SICUREZZA
AVVERTENZA !
Questo casco e i caschi per bicicletta in generale sono costruiti in modo tale che l’involucro
esterno viene parzialmente distrutto in seguito all’impatto, per assorbire l’energia dell’impatto e
proteggere la testa. Pertanto il casco dovrà essere sostituito e gettato dopo che avrà subito un
colpo significativo, anche se non sono riscontrabili danni apparenti. Si prega di ricordare che il
materiale del casco può essere penetrato da oggetti appuntiti.
AVVERTENZA !
Nessun casco può proteggere l’utente da tutte le lesioni in tutti gli incidenti, in particolare in
caso di collisioni con veicoli motorizzati. In base alla forza dell’impatto, anche un incidente a
velocità molto ridotta può causare gravi lesioni o morte.
Questo casco è stato sviluppato per proteggere la testa. Non offre protezione da lesioni a collo,
colonna vertebrale o altre parti anatomiche che potrebbero essere interessate da un incidente.
AVVERTENZA !
Non modificare né rimuovere parti originale del casco in alcun modo che violi le raccoman-
dazioni di SCOTT. In caso di utilizzo non corretto decadrà ogni possibilità di sporgere recla-
mo. Alcuni caschi SCOTT sono dotati di un sistema di visiera rimovibile. Tali sistemi assicura-
no che la visiera si stacchi immediatamente in caso di caduta o di altri eventi che comporta-
no un impatto. L’applicazione di tali visiere non danneggia in alcun modo il materiale del casco.
AVVERTENZA !
Il casco non deve essere indossato da bambini impegnati in arrampicate o altre attività simili,
poiché sussiste il rischio che le cinghie del casco possano soffocare il bambino.
AVVERTENZA !
Questo prodotto ha una durata limitata e per una sicurezza ottimale SCOTT raccomanda di
sostituire il prodotto dopo tre (3) anni dalla data di acquisto. SCOTT non sarà responsabile per

•III. VESTIBILITÀ CORRETTA
PER ASSICURARE LA VESTIBILITA’ CORRETTA E’ INDISPENSABILE PROVARE IL CASCO PRIMA
DI ACQUISTARLO PERCHE’ SOLO IN QUESTO MODO SI PUO’ STABILIRE LA TAGLIA PIU’ COR-
RETTA. Per determinarla misurare la propria testa con un metro flessibile due centimetri sopra la
linea delle sopracciglia. Utilizzare la misura più grande. Scegliere la taglia del casco che maggior-
mente si avvicina a questa misura. Poichè le taglie dei caschi non sempre coincidono perfettamen-
te con le misure scegliere quella più comoda e senza punti di pressione. SCOTT Sports SA non
sarà responsabile per danni o perdite dovuti all’utilizzo di un casco dalla vestibilità non corretta.
PROVARE IL CASCO-STABILIRE LA MISURA CORRETTA
E’ FONDAMENTALE CHE LA VESTIBILITA’ DEL CASCO SIA ADE-
RENTE. Afferrare gli strap (come mostrato nel disegno 1) per
aumentare l’apertura del casco e indossarlo. Se non è aderente o
se non è confortevole è necessario provare una taglia più piccola.
Per verificare la taglia corretta indossare il casco accertandosi che
l’imbottitura sia confortevole e che i guanciali aderiscano perfetta-
mente alle guance. Non deve esserci spazio tra la fronte e l’imbot-
titura. Afferrare il casco e cercare di muoverlo in laterale e verticale
(come mostrato nell’immagine 2). Si dovrebbe pecepire la pelle del
viso che si muove con il casco. Se il casco si muove senza toccare la
pelle significa che è troppo grande e che è necessario provare una
taglia più piccola.
REGOLAZIONE DELLA MENTONIERA
La corretta regolazione del cinturino è un elemento critico. Se si riesce a togliere il cinturino mentre
è allacciato significa che non è ben fissato con i D-Ring. Attenersi alle istruzioni mostrare di seguito.
VERIFICA DEL SISTEMA DI FISSAGGIO
Fissare il cinturino il più stretto possibile senza strozzarsi. Non deve
essere allentato e lo strap deve essere aderente al mento. Posizionare
le propria mano nella parte superiore del casco e tentare di spinge-
re il casco ruotandolo verso la parte posteriore. Quindi posizionare le
mano sulla mentoniera e cercare di togliere il casco spingendolo ver-
so la parte posteriore. In entrambi i casi se si riesce a togliere il casco
non bisogna utilizzarlo ma cercare una taglia più adatta o verificare
che il cinturino sia fissato saldamente. Queste prove devono essere
fatte fino a quando non si trova la misura del casco corretta.

VESTIBILITÀ CORRETTA
Accertarsi che la misura del casco sia corretta come descritto in precedenza. Il casco NON
deve essere né troppo stretto né troppo grande perché potrebbe interferire con la visuale.
Attenzione, la visiera montata sui nostri caschi off road è regolabile. Provare il casco off road
con la visiera nelle diverse posizioni prima di acquistarlo per essere certi che soddisfi pienamen-
te le proprie esigenze. SCOTT Sports SA non sarà responsabile per danni o perdite dovuti a
una vestibilità non corretta.
•IV. CURA E PULIZIA
Pulire il casco con un panno morbido o una spugna, acqua calda e sapone delicato.
AVVERTENZA!
I caschi sono fatti di un materiale che può essere danneggiato da molti detersivi tradiziona-
li. Solventi o detersivi a base di petrolio sono particolarmente pericolosi. Possono danneggiare
il casco in modo tale da comprometterne gravemente la capacità protettiva. Spesso tale dan-
no non è visibile. SCOTT Sports non è responsabile per danni causati da una pulizia impropria.
•V. TRASPORTO E CONSERVAZIONE
Durante il trasporto o l’immagazzinaggio conservare il casco nella borsa morbida in dotazione
nella confezione di vendita. Dopo ogni uso lasciar asciugare il casco all’aria, quindi riporlo in un
luogo fresco e asciutto. Un calore eccessivo può danneggiare il casco. Sotto il sole le attrezzatu-
re, i contenitori o i bagagliai delle auto di colore scuro possono surriscaldarsi al punto da causare
danni da calore. I caschi danneggiati dal calore si riconoscono dalla superficie irregolare o sbollata.
