RECHARGE THE BATTERY, SUBSEQUENTLY RECHARGE THE BATTERY AT LEAST ONCE EVERY SIX MONTHS
OF NON-USE.

Youmustensuretheriskofelectricshockisminimisedbytheinstallationofappropriatesafetydevices.
AnRCCB(ResidualCurrentCircuitBreaker)shouldbeincorporatedinthemaindistributionboard.WealsorecommendthatanRCD
(Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical products, particularly portable equipment which is plugged into an electrical
supplynotprotectedbyanRCCB.
Youmustalsoreadandunderstandthefollowinginstructionsconcerningelectricalsafety.
1.2.1. TheElectricityAtWorkAct1989requiresallportableelectricalappliances,ifusedonbusinesspremises,tobetestedbyaqualied
electrician,usingaPortableApplianceTester(PAT),atleastonceayear.
1.2.2. TheHealth&SafetyatWorkAct1974makesownersofelectricalappliancesresponsibleforthesafeconditionoftheapplianceand
thesafetyoftheapplianceoperator.Ifinanydoubtaboutelectricalsafety,contactaqualiedelectrician.
1.2.3. Youmustensurethatyou:

4. OPERATION
4.1. Pluginchargerandensuresolderingironisfullychargedbeforerstuse.Theredcharginglightwillturngreenwhenfullycharged.
Oncechargedthesolderingironcanbeusedwithoutthechargeleadconnected.
4.2. To switch on remove the soldering iron from the charging dock, slide the on/off switch forward and press down until the red ‘On’
4.3. indicatorilluminates.
4.4. Thesolderingironwillbegintoheatupandwillbereadytousein25seconds.
4.5. Whensolderingisnishedplacethesolderingironbackinitschargingdockandpluginthecharger.

Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment.
When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal
dispose according to local regulations.
WEEE Regulations
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed
of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
Battery Removal
Remove the 2 screws and split the casing apart. Cut the wires to the battery and dispose of according to local government
guidelines.
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd are required to inform potential
purchasersofproductscontainingbatteries(asdenedwithintheseregulations),thattheyareregisteredwithValpak’s
