ADVICE AND TIPS FOR BLENDING
■ First cut food with a rm consistency such as fruit and vegetables into smaller pieces
measuring 3 cm and only then blend it.
■ First, blend a smaller amount of ingredients and then gradually add more ingredients
through the hole in the lid C2 while blending. In this way, you will achieve better results
than by adding all ingredients into the blending jar C4 at once.
■ If you need to blend food of asolid consistency together with liquids, we recommend that
you rst blend the food of solid consistency and apart of the liquids. Then gradually add the
remaining liquids through the hole in the lid C2 while blending.
■ To blend very thick liquids, we recommend using the pulse level so that the blade assembly
C6 does not get jammed too often. Start the blender repeatedly in short intervals.
■ Ice cubes must be processed immediately upon being removed from the freezer. When the
ice starts to melt, the ice cubes will stick together and it will not be possible to blend them.

GRATING AND SLICING
PURPOSE OF THE GRATING AND SLICING ATTACHMENT
■
The attachment is designed for slicing and grating fruit and vegetables, cheeses, chocolate,
nuts, for making breadcrumbs, etc.
■ The table Choosing the right type of grating cone will help you to select the right type.
ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING THE GRATING AND SLICING ATTACHMENT
1. Select one of the grating cones B5–B9 and insert it into the chamber B3, so that the shaft
inside the chamber B3 slides into the pentagonal hole in the centre of the grating cone.
Seat the locking pin B4 on to the shaft, and then turn it to secure the grating cone inside
the chamber B3. Attach the chute B10 to the chamber B3.
2. Make sure that the food processor is turned off and disconnected from the power socket.
The arm of the food processor must be tilted down in the horizontal position and the
blender, beater or kneading attachments must be removed. Remove the front cover
from the multi-function head of the food processor, and push the assembled attachment
at an angle of 45° against the front attachment hub and secure it in place by turning it
anticlockwise, see figure D.
3. The attachment is securely mounted in the vertical position when the button located on
the left of the front attachment hub slides out. An audible click is made when the button
slides out. The attachment is assembled when the pusher B1 is inserted in the feed tube
B2. The attachment is now assembled and ready for use.
4. When removing an attachment, first press the button located on the left of the front
attachment hub, and then remove the attachment by turning it clockwise. When
disassembling the attachment into its individual parts, proceed in the reverse sequence.
