Beim Auftreten mehrerer Gefährdungsstufen wird immer der Warnhinweis zur jeweils höchsten Stufe verwendet.
Wenn in einem Warnhinweis mit dem Warndreieck vor Personenschäden gewarnt wird, dann kann im selben
Warnhinweis zusätzlich eine Warnung vor Sachschäden angefügt sein.

Das zu dieser Dokumentation zugehörige Produkt/System darf nur von für die jeweilige Aufgabenstellung
qualifiziertem Personal gehandhabt werden unter Beachtung der für die jeweilige Aufgabenstellung zugehörigen

Beschreibung LOGO! PROM
LOGO! PROM ist ein Programmiergerät für LOGO! Programmmodule und dient zum Ver-
vielfältigen von Programmmodulen. Ein vorhandenes Mastermodul kann mit LOGO! PROM
sehr einfach auf bis zu 8 Module kopiert werden. Nur Module, welche keinen Kopierschutz
haben, können dupliziert werden.
Eine Übertragung des Programms kann auch mittels eines LOGO! PC-Kabels und des PC-
Programms LOGO! Soft Comfort V5.0/V6.0 in das LOGO! PROM vorgenommen werden.
Während beim Duplizieren von einem Mastermodul immer nur Module für den im Master-
modul festgelegten LOGO!-Gerätetyp erzeugt werden können, ist es bei einem Download
vom PC möglich, den entsprechenden LOGO!-Gerätetyp vorher auszuwählen. Es werden
jedoch nur die für den ausgewählten LOGO!-Gerätetyp zugelassenen Module programmiert.
Andere, nicht für die ausgewählte Gerätelinie gesteckte Module werden nicht verändert, die
zugehörige Leuchtdiode bleibt dunkel.
LOGO! PROM unterstützt nur die LOGO!-Geräte ab der Bezeichnung 6ED1xxx-xxxx-0BA1.
Ältere LOGO!-Geräte mit der Bezeichnung 6ED1xxx-xxxx-0BA0 werden nicht unterstützt.
Das Gerät LOGO! PROM V6 kann in Verbindung mit LOGO! Soft Comfort V6 für folgende
Memory Cards bzw. LOGO! Generationen verwendet werden:
● 0BA5 (hellbraune Memory Card 6ED1056-5CA00-0BA0)
● 0BA5 (violette Memory Card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (violette Memory Card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (dunkelbraune Memory/Battery Card 6ED1056-7DA00-0BA0)
Wurde eine violette Memory Card mit LOGO! PROM V5 und LOGO! Soft V5 programmiert,
dann kann diese Memory Card nicht mehr für Programme der Version 6 verwendet werden.
Wenn Sie Memory Cards für Geräte beschreiben möchten, die einen älteren Stand haben
als 0BA5 (z. B. das gelbe Modul), dann brauchen Sie dazu die ältere Software LOGO! Soft
V5.
Einschalten
Zur Stromversorgung des LOGO! PROM dient das mitgelieferte Stecker-Netzteil.
VORSICHT
Wenn Sie ein anderes als das mitgelieferte Netzteil verwenden, achten Sie darauf, dass
dieses den Sicherheitsvorschriften entspricht und ein Sicherheitszeichen trägt.
Die Ausgangsspannung des Netzteils darf den in den Technischen Daten angegebenen
Eingangsspannungsbereich nicht über- oder -unterschreiten.

Funktionskontrolle
Nach dem Einschalten wird ein zweimaliger Lampentest durchgeführt, d. h. alle LEDs
leuchten kurz rot und grün auf. Eine Betriebskontrollleuchte ist nur vorhanden, wenn ein
Modul oder das PC-Kabel im Modulschacht Master gesteckt ist. Die zugehörige LED
leuchtet dann grün oder blinkt rot je nach Modultyp.
Vorgehensweise für das Duplizieren von einem Mastermodul
VORSICHT
Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Fremdkörper in die Modulschächte gelangen und stecken
Sie keine anderen als die von Siemens zugelassenen Module
Stecken Sie ihr Mastermodul in den Modulschacht Master. Bei richtig erkanntem
Mastermodul leuchtet die über dem Modulschacht Master befindliche LED grün auf. Blinkt
diese LED rot, dann ist ein Kopiervorgang nicht möglich (Ursache: Modul mit ‚Kopierschutz‘).
Die Bestückung der Modulschächte ‚1‘ bis ‚8‘ kann in beliebiger Reihenfolge und Anzahl
erfolgen. Es können auch Modulschächte frei bleiben. Es werden jedoch immer nur die
durch das Mastermodul bestimmten Module einer LOGO!-Gerätelinie programmiert. Andere,
nicht für die ausgewählte Gerätelinie gesteckten Module werden nicht verändert, die
zugehörige Leuchtdiode bleibt dunkel. Es ist nicht möglich, von 0BA3 Modulen auf
0BA4/0BA5/0BA6 Module und umgekehrt zu kopieren.
Der Dupliziervorgang wird durch kurzes Drücken der Taste "Start/Reset" ausgelöst.
Der laufende Kopiervorgang, bzw. der Datentransfer, wird durch grünes Blinken der zum
Modul gehörenden LED angezeigt. Nach erfolgreichem Programmiervorgang geht das
Blinken in grünes Dauerlicht über. Ein fehlgeschlagener Programmiervorgang wird durch
rotes Dauerlicht angezeigt. Während des laufenden Programmiervorgangs dürfen bereits
programmierte Module (grünes Dauerlicht) entfernt werden. Wird ein in Arbeit befindliches
Modul (grünes Blinken) gezogen, stoppt der Programmiervorgang solange, bis dieses Modul
wieder gesteckt wird.
ACHTUNG
Ein laufender Programmiervorgang kann nicht abgebrochen werden.
Wenn alle Module entfernt sind, dann können die LEDs durch Drücken der Taste
"Start/Reset" gelöscht werden.
Sind neue oder bereits programmierte Module gesteckt, dann werden durch Drücken der
Taste "Start/Reset" alle LEDs gelöscht und der Programmiervorgang wird erneut gestartet.

Vorgehensweise für das Duplizieren mittels PC-Kabel
Voraussetzung für einen Download mittels PC-Kabel ist LOGO! Soft Comfort V5.0/V6.0.
Das PC-Kabel wird anstelle des Mastermoduls gesteckt und muss auch nach dem Download
gesteckt bleiben. Bei nicht gestecktem Kabel kann kein Programmiervorgang gestartet
werden.
Der Download wird aus der LOGO! Soft Comfort, wie zu einem LOGO!-Gerät gestartet. Der
einzige Unterschied zur Programmierung eines LOGO!-Geräts ist, dass vor dem Download
der LOGO!-Gerätetyp ausgewählt sein muss, für welche die Module erstellt werden sollen.
Der Anwender ist für die korrekte Auswahl der Gerätetype verantwortlich.
Für die Gerätelinie 0BA4/0BA5/0BA6 erfolgt, nachdem die Übertragung eingeleitet wurde,
eine Abfrage, ob ein Kopierschutz gewünscht wird.
Ist der Download durchgeführt, dann kann der Programmiervorgang wie beim "Duplizieren
mit Mastermodul", jedoch mit gestecktem PC-Kabel, durchgeführt werden.
ACHTUNG
In der LOGO! Soft Comfort können LOGO!-Geräte mit der Bezeichnung 6ED1xxx-xxxx-
0BA0 auswählt werden, der Datentransfer wird jedoch nicht durchgeführt und die Master
LED blinkt rot.

LOGO! PROM description
LOGO! PROM is a programming device for LOGO! program modules which allows you to
duplicate program modules. It is very easy to copy an existing master module to up to 8
modules using LOGO! PROM. Only modules that do not have copy protection can be
duplicated.
The program can also be transferred to the LOGO! PROM using a LOGO! PC cable and the
LOGO! Soft Comfort V5.0/V6.0 PC program.
When you duplicate from a master module, only modules for the LOGO! device type
specified by the master module can be created. When downloading from a PC, it is possible
to select the corresponding LOGO! device type beforehand. However, only the modules
which are approved for the selected LOGO! device type are programmed. Other inserted
modules which are not approved for the selected device line will not be changed and the
relevant LED does not light up.
LOGO! PROM only supports the LOGO! devices starting with designation 6ED1xxx-xxxx-
0BA1.
Older LOGO! devices with the designation 6ED1xxx-xxxx-0BA0 are not supported.
The LOGO! PROM V6 can be used in connection with LOGO! Soft Comfort V6 for the
following memory cards or LOGO! generations:
● 0BA5 (light-brown memory card 6ED1056-5CA00-0BA0)
● 0BA5 (violet memory card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (violet memory card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (dark-brown memory/battery card 6ED1056-7DA00-0BA0)
If a violet memory card was programmed with LOGO! PROM V5 and LOGO! Soft V5, this
memory card can no longer be used for programs of version 6.
If you want to write memory cards for devices with an older version than 0BA5 (e.g. the
yellow module), then you need the older LOGO! Soft V5 software.

Power-up
The power for the LOGO! PROM is supplied by the plug-in power supply unit included with
the product.
CAUTION
If you use a different power supply unit to the one included with the product, make sure that
it complies with the safety regulations and bears a safety label.
The output voltage of the plug-in power supply unit must not exceed or fall short of the input
voltage range specified in the technical specifications.
Function test
After power-up, a double lamp test is performed, i.e. all the LEDs briefly light up red and
green. An operation monitoring LED is only present when a module or the PC cable is
inserted in the Master module slot. The relevant LED then lights up green or flashes red,
depending on the module type.
How to duplicate a master module
CAUTION
Make sure that no foreign bodies penetrate the module slots and never insert any modules
that are not approved by Siemens.
Insert your master module in the Master module slot. If the master module is detected
correctly, the LED above the Master module slot lights up green. If this LED flashes red,
copying is not possible (cause: module has copy protection).
The module slots '1' to '8' can be configured in any number and in any sequence. Module
slots can also be left free. However, only the modules of a LOGO! device line that have been
specified by the master module are programmed. Other inserted modules which are not
approved for the selected device line will not be changed and the relevant LED stays off. It is
not possible to copy 0BA3 modules to 0BA4/0BA5/0BA6 modules and vice versa.
The duplication procedure is initiated by briefly pressing the "Start/Reset" button.
The LED for the module flashes green to indicate that the current copying procedure or data
transfer is taking place. The LED stops flashing and becomes continuously green to indicate
that the programming procedure has been successfully completed. A continuously lit red
LED indicates that the programming procedure was not successful. During the current
programming procedure, already programmed modules (continuous green light) can be
removed. If a module for which a programming procedure is currently taking place (flashing
green LED) is removed, the programming procedure stops until this module has been
inserted again.
NOTICE
A programming procedure cannot be aborted once it is running.

When all the modules have been removed, you can reset the LEDs by pressing the
"Start/Reset" button.
If new or already programmed modules are inserted, you can reset all the LEDs by pressing
the "Start/Reset" button and the programming procedure is then started again.
How to duplicate via a PC cable
LOGO! Soft Comfort V5.0/V6.0 is the prerequisite for downloading via a PC cable.
The PC cable is plugged in instead of the master cable and must also remain plugged in
after the download. A programming procedure cannot be started when the cable is not
plugged in.
The download is started from LOGO! Soft Comfort, the same as with a LOGO! device. The
only difference to programming a LOGO! device is that the LOGO! device type for which the
modules are to be created has to be selected before the download takes place. The user is
responsible for the correct selection of the device types.
After transfer has been initiated an inquiry is made for the 0BA4/0BA5/0BA6 device line as to
whether copy protection is desired.
After the download the programming procedure can be carried out in the same way as for
"duplicating with master module", but with the PC cable plugged in.
NOTICE
LOGO! devices with the designation 6ED1xxx-xxxx-0BA0 can be selected in
LOGO! Soft Comfort, but the data transfer is not executed and the master LED flashes red.
