PSU8600 Block Library
. The block library provides tested code
with clearly defined interfaces. You can use it as the basis for the task you wish to realize.
The main focus of this document is to describe:
●All Function Blocks (FB) pertaining to the block library
●The functionality implemented through these blocks.
The documentation furthermore illustrates the possible applications of the library, and step-
by-step instructions to help you integrate the library into your SIMATIC STEP 7 project.
Note
In this document, the function blocks for S7
-1200/1500 are described. Any deviations in the
function blocks for S7
-300/400 will be pointed out where applicable.

Introduction
SITOP PSU8600 allows you to integrate the power supply into your automation network.
In the PROFINET network, SITOP PSU8600 behaves as an Input/output (I/O) device.
Controllers and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems can communicate with SITOP and
exchange data.
Example with S7-300 and Multi Panel

5.1
Introduction
Scope of the library
The library is basically divided into two parts: SIMATIC STEP 7 and WinCC. Each of the
parts contains the individual library elements for the respective control and HMI system.
Variants
The library contains two basic variants of the faceplates for:
●WinCC
●WinCC flexible
In addition to the faceplates, the library also contains User Data Types (UDT) for the data
connection of SIMATIC STEP 7 blocks.

Start/diagnostic address of the connected modules
To provide the start/diagnostic address of the connected modules, follow the procedure
given below.
1. In the hardware configuration, select the connected PSU8600.
2. Note down the start address of your SITOP main module. (A)
3. Note down the start address of the I/O area of the individual outputs. Skip the PROFINET
interface of the main module. (B)
The following addresses for the individual outputs (B and C) result in the screen that is
displayed.
●Main module, start address (A): “8183”
●Main module cyclic input address(B): “256”
●Cyclic input address/HW identification address(C) for Output 1, calculates: “266”
●Cyclic input address/HW identification address(C) for Output 2, calculates: “271”
●Cyclic input address/HW identification address(C) for Output 3, calculates: “276”
