accompany you through everyday life. Like anything new,
it may take you a little time to become familiar with them.
This guide, along with support from your Hearing Care
Professional, will help you under󰘵and the advantages
and greater quality of life your hearing in󰘵ruments o󰘯er.
To receive the mo󰘵 bene󰘰t from your hearing
in󰘵ruments, it is recommended that you wear them every
day, all day. This will help you get adju󰘵ed to them.
CAUTION
It is important to read this user guide and the safety
manual thoroughly and completely. Follow the
safety information to avoid damage or injury.
Before using your hearing in󰘵ruments for the 󰘰r󰘵
time, fully charge them. Follow the in󰘵ructions in
the charger's user guide.
Your hearing in󰄋ruments
This user guide describes optional features that
your hearing in󰘵ruments may or may not have.
Ask your Hearing Care Professional to indicate the
features that are valid for your hearing in󰘵ruments.
In󰄋rument type
Your hearing in󰘵ruments are a RIC (Receiver-in-Canal)
model. The receiver is placed within the ear canal and
connected to the in󰘵rument via a receiver cable. The
in󰘵ruments are not intended for children under the age
of 3 years or persons with a developmental age of under
3 years.
A power cell (lithium-ion rechargeable battery) is
permanently built into your hearing in󰘵rument.
This enables easy charging with our charger.
The wireless functionality enables advanced audiological
features and synchronization between your two hearing
in󰘵ruments.
Getting to know your hearing in󰄋ruments
Your hearing in󰘵ruments have no controls.
If you want to adju󰘵 the volume or switch hearing
programs manually, you can ask your Hearing Care
Professional about a remote control option.

Daily use
Charging
Place your hearing in󰘵ruments
in the charger.
XFollow the in󰘵ructions in
the charger's user guide.
You can also 󰘰nd useful tips

XIf you have earmolds
attached to your Stylettos, please remove them prior
to charging. You will have to rein󰘵all them once your
Stylettos are charged.
Low power indication
You will hear an alert signal to indicate the power cell is
running low. The signal will be repeated every 15 minutes.
Depending on the usage of your hearing in󰘵ruments,
you have approximately 1.5 hours to charge your hearing
in󰘵ruments before they 󰘵op working.
Battery lifetime
The power cell has a 󰘰nite lifetime - as all rechargeable
batteries do. If the fully charged hearing in󰘵ruments
do not la󰘵 over a full day of use (16 hours regular use
without audio 󰘵reaming) then we recommend returning
the hearing in󰘵ruments to your Hearing Care Professional.
The Hearing Care Professional will provide a replacement.
Turning on and o󰓐
You have the following options to turn your hearing
in󰘵ruments on or o󰘯.
XTurning on: Take the in󰘵ruments out of the charger.
The 󰘵artup melody is played in your hearing
in󰘵ruments. The default volume and hearing program
are set.
XTurning o󰘯: Place the hearing in󰘵ruments in the
charger.
Note that the charger mu󰘵 be on. For details refer to the
charger's user guide.
Switching to 󰄋andby mode
Via remote control or smartphone app, you can switch
your hearing in󰘵ruments to 󰘵andby mode. This mutes the
hearing in󰘵ruments. When you leave 󰘵andby mode, the
previously used volume and hearing program are set.
Note:
● In 󰘵andby mode, the hearing in󰘵ruments are not
turned o󰘯 completely. They draw some power.
Therefore we recommend to use 󰘵andby mode only
for a short period of time.
● If you want to leave 󰘵andby mode, but the remote
control or app is not at hand: Turn your hearing
in󰘵ruments o󰘯 and on again (by shortly placing them in

the charger until one or more LEDs light up).
Wait until the 󰘵artup melody is played in your hearing
in󰘵ruments. This may take several seconds. Note that
the default volume and hearing program are set.
Inserting and removing the hearing in󰄋ruments
Your hearing in󰘵ruments have been 󰘰ne-tuned for your
right and left ear. Letters indicate the side:
● R = right ear
● L = left ear
Inserting a hearing in󰘵rument:
XFor Click Sleeves, take care that the bend of the
Click Sleeve is in line with the bend of the receiver
cable.
Correct:

Incorrect:
XHold the receiver cable at the bend closer to the
ear piece.
XCarefully push the ear piece in
the ear canal ➊.
XTwi󰘵 it slightly until it sits well.
Open and close your mouth to
avoid accumulation of air in the
ear canal.
XLift the hearing in󰘵rument and
slide it over the top of your ear ➋.

XInsert the ear piece carefully and not too deeply
into the ear.

● It may be helpful to insert the right hearing
in󰘵rument with the right hand and the left
hearing in󰘵rument with the left hand.
● If you have problems inserting the ear piece,
use the other hand to gently pull your earlobe
downwards. This opens the ear canal and eases
insertion of the ear piece.
The optional retention 󰘵rand helps to securely retain the
ear piece in your ear. To position the retention 󰘵rand:
XBend the retention 󰘵rand and
position it carefully into the
bottom of the bowl of your ear
(refer to the picture).
Removing a hearing in󰘵rument:
XLift the hearing in󰘵rument
and slide it over the top of
your ear ➊.

XGrip the receiver in the ear canal with two 󰘰ngers and
pull it carefully out ➋.
Do not pull the receiver cable.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
XIn very rare cases the ear piece could remain in
your ear when removing the hearing in󰘵rument.
If this happens, have the ear piece removed by
a medical professional.
Clean and dry your hearing in󰘵ruments after usage.

Adju󰄋ing the volume
Your hearing in󰘵ruments automatically adju󰘵 the volume
to the li󰘵ening situation.
XIf you prefer manual volume adju󰘵ment, use a remote
control option.
An optional signal can indicate the volume change.
Changing the hearing program
Depending on the li󰘵ening situation, your hearing
in󰘵ruments automatically adju󰘵 their sound.
Your hearing in󰘵ruments may also have several hearing
programs which allow you to change the sound, if
needed. An optional signal tone can indicate the program
change.
XTo change the hearing program manually, use a
remote control option.
Refer to section "Hearing programs" for a li󰘵 of your
hearing programs.
The default volume is applied.
Special li󰄋ening situations
On the phone
When you are on the phone, hold
the telephone receiver slightly above
your ear. The hearing in󰘵rument and
telephone receiver have to be aligned.
Turn the receiver slightly so that the
ear is not completely covered.
Telephone program
You may prefer a certain volume when using the phone.
Ask your Hearing Care Professional to con󰘰gure a
telephone program.
XSwitch to the telephone program whenever you are on
the phone.
If a telephone program is con󰘰gured for your hearing
in󰘵ruments, it is li󰘵ed in section "Hearing programs".

Maintenance and care
To prevent damage it is important that you take care of
your hearing in󰘵ruments and follow a few basic rules,
which will soon become a part of your daily routine.
Hearing in󰄋ruments
Cleaning
Your hearing in󰘵ruments have a protective coating.
However, if not cleaned regularly you may damage the
hearing in󰘵ruments or cause personal injury.
XClean your hearing in󰘵ruments daily with a soft, dry
tissue.
XNever use running water or immerse the
devices in water.
XNever apply pressure while cleaning.
XAsk your Hearing Care Professional for recommended
cleaning products, special care sets, or more
information on how to keep your hearing in󰘵ruments
in good condition.
Drying
Use conventional products to dry your hearing
in󰘵ruments. Ask your Hearing Care Professional
for recommended drying products and for individual
in󰘵ructions on when to dry your hearing in󰘵ruments.
Storage
● Short-term 󰘵orage (up to several days): Turn o󰘯 your
hearing in󰘵ruments by placing them in the charger.
The charger mu󰘵 be on. If the charger is not on and
you place your hearing in󰘵ruments in the charger, the
hearing in󰘵ruments are not turned o󰘯.
Note that when you turn o󰘯 the hearing in󰘵ruments
via a remote control or smartphone app, the hearing
in󰘵ruments are not turned o󰘯 completely. They are in
󰘵andby-mode and 󰘵ill draw some power.
● Long-term 󰘵orage (weeks, months, ...): Fir󰘵, fully
charge your hearing in󰘵ruments. Leave them in the
charger and turn the charger o󰘯. For details refer to
the charger's user guide.
The hearing in󰘵ruments are also turned o󰘯. We
recommend using drying products while 󰘵oring the
hearing in󰘵ruments.
At 6 month intervals you will have to charge the
hearing in󰘵ruments to avoid an unrecoverable
deep-discharge of the power cell. Deep-discharged
power cells cannot be charged anymore and they
have to be replaced. We recommend recharging more
frequently than 6 month intervals.
Observe the 󰘵orage conditions in section
"Operating, transport and 󰘵orage conditions".

Ear pieces
Cleaning
Cerumen (ear wax) may accumulate on the ear pieces.
This may a󰘯ect sound quality. Clean the ear pieces daily.
For all types of ear pieces:
XClean the
ear piece right
after removal
with a soft and
dry tissue.
This prevents
that cerumen
becomes dry
and hard.
For Click Domes or Click Sleeves:
XSqueeze the tip of the ear piece.
Exchanging
Exchange 󰘵andard ear pieces approximately every
three months. Replace them sooner if you notice
cracks or other changes. The procedure for exchanging
󰘵andard ear pieces depends on the type of ear piece.
In section "Components and names", your Hearing Care
Professional has marked your type of ear piece.
Exchanging Click Domes
XTo remove the old Click Dome, use the removal tool
or follow the in󰘵ructions on the packaging of the
Click Domes. Be careful not to pull the receiver cable.
The removal tool is available as an accessory.
XTake particular care that
the new Click Dome clicks
noticeable in place.
XCheck the 󰘰rm 󰘰t of the new
Click Dome.

Exchanging Click Sleeves
XTurn the Click Sleeve inside out.
XGrasp the Click Sleeve and the
receiver (not the receiver cable)
with your 󰘰ngers and pull the
Click Sleeve o󰘯.
XTake particular care that
the new Click Sleeve clicks
noticeably in place.

Professional maintenance
Your Hearing Care Professional can perform a thorough
professional cleaning and maintenance.
Ask your Hearing Care Professional for your individual
recommendation of maintenance intervals and for support.
Important safety information
Safety information on lithium-ion rechargeable
batteries
WARNING
A lithium-ion rechargeable battery is permanently
built into your device. Incorrect use of the device
can cause the lithium-ion rechargeable battery to
bur󰘵.
Risk of injury, 󰘰re or explosion!
XFollow the safety in󰘵ructions for lithium-ion
rechargeable battery in this section.
● Observe the operating conditions. Refer to the section
"Operating, transport, and 󰘵orage conditions".
● Pay special attention to protect your device from
extreme heat (e.g. 󰘰re, microwave oven, induction
oven or other high induction 󰘰elds) and sunlight.
● Charge your hearing in󰘵ruments only with the
approved charger. Ask your Hearing Care Professional
for support.
● Do not disassemble the device.
● Do not use the device in explosive atmospheres.
● Do not use devices that are deformed or obviously
damaged.

● Do not use the device when its performance after
charging decreases considerably. Return the device to
your Hearing Care Professional.
● Do not dispose of the device in 󰘰re or water.
Replacement and repair have to be performed by a
professional. Therefore:
● Do not repair or replace the lithium-ion rechargeable
battery yourself.
● In the unlikely event of a lithium-ion rechargeable
battery bur󰘵ing or exploding, keep all combu󰘵ible
materials away.
In any of the above cases, return your device to the
Hearing Care Professional.

Los audífonos
En e󰘵e manual del operador se describen
caracterí󰘵icas opcionales que sus audífonos
pueden tener o no tener.
Solicite al especiali󰘵a en audición que le indique
qué caracterí󰘵icas son válidas para sus audífonos.
Tipo de audífono
Sus audífonos son un modelo con auricular en el canal
(RIC, por sus siglas en inglés). El auricular se coloca
dentro del canal auditivo y se conecta al in󰘵rumento
por medio de un cable del auricular. E󰘵os audífonos no
se han diseñado para niños menores de 3 años ni para
personas cuya edad de desarrollo e󰘵é por debajo de los
3 años.
El audífono contiene una batería (recargable de ion
de litio) integrada de forma 󰘰ja. E󰘵o permite cargarlo
fácilmente con el cargador.
La funcionalidad inalámbrica proporciona caracterí󰘵icas
audiológicas avanzadas entre los dos audífonos.
La importancia de conocer el audífono
Los audífonos no tienen controles.
Si desea aju󰘵ar el volumen o cambiar de programa de
audición manualmente, puede solicitar a su especiali󰘵a
de audición la opción del telemando.

Conexión y desconexión
Dispone de las siguientes opciones para conectar y
desconectar los audífonos.
XConexión: Saque los audífonos del cargador.
Se reproduce la melodía de inicio en los audífonos.
Se re󰘵ablecen el volumen y el programa de audición
predeterminados.
XDesconexión: Coloque los audífonos en el cargador.
El cargador debe e󰘵ar conectado. Para obtener más
información, consulte el manual del operador del cargador.
Cambio al modo de reposo
Puede poner los audífonos en modo de espera (󰘵andby)
con un telemando o la aplicación para smartphone. De
e󰘵e modo se silencian los audífonos. Cuando se sale del
modo de espera, se recuperan el volumen y el programa
de audición utilizados anteriormente.
Nota:
● En el modo de espera, los audífonos no e󰘵án
desconectados completamente. Siguen consumiendo
energía.
Por e󰘵e motivo, se recomienda utilizar el modo de
espera solo durante periodos breves.
Uso diario
Carga
Coloque los audífonos en
el cargador.
XSiga las in󰘵rucciones
del manual del operador
del cargador. En el manual
del operador del cargador
también encontrará consejos
útiles para la carga.
XSi tienes moldes unidos a su Stylettos, por favor quite
los antes de cargarlos. Tendra que volver a in󰘵alarlos
una vez que se carguen sus Stylettos.
Indicación de nivel bajo de batería
Se oirá una señal de aviso para indicar que la
batería se e󰘵á agotando. Se repetirá la señal cada
15 minutos. Según el nivel de uso de los audífonos, tiene
aproximadamente 1,5 horas para cargar los audífonos
antes de que dejen de funcionar.
Vida útil de la pila
La pila tiene una vida útil limitada, como ocurre con todas
las pilas recargables. Si los audífonos completamente
cargados no duran más de un día en uso (16 horas de
uso normal sin transmisión de audio), se recomienda
devolverlos al especiali󰘵a en audición. El especiali󰘵a en
audición le proporcionará un repue󰘵o.
