This manual has been wrien by the Manufacturer and is an integral
part of the device’s documentaon.
It provides the user with useful informaon so that the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device can be used safely.
All device users must read this manual carefully. This informaon is essenal for the proper use and mainte-
nance of the device.
The manual must be carefully stored for the enre life cycle of the device, including the disposal stage. Store
the manual in a dry place; somewhere where it is always at the user’s ngerps.
2. GENERAL WARNINGS
The device has been designed in accordance with the principles of the CE European Direcves.
The materials used for its construcon are not dangerous and render the device compliant with the direcves.
All of the device’s components are safe in its design features.

4. DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device is an electronic device that allows a remote-controlled automaon
(such as a gate or garage) to be remotely operated from a smartphone.
To start using Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro), download the “Air4 Home” app for free from the Android Play
Store™ or the Apple Store™, and follow the instrucons to copy your remote controls.

THE LIST OF COMPATIBLE REMOTE ONTROLS IS AVAILABLE ON THE “www.silca.biz” WEBSITE.

It does not need to be recorded on the gate/garage receiver.

Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) can control up to 4 dierent remote-controlled automaons.
In the event that, once the maximum number of users / smartphones has been reached, it is necessary to add
others it is necessary to delete one or more already registered users / smartphones rst.
Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) can replace all xed code remote controls and the main rolling code remotes in
the following frequency bands 433.0 to 868.0 MHz, using the following frequency modulaons AM and FM.

868.01 MHz - 868.5 MHz -7dBm
TECHNICAL DATA
The Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device can be powered by:
• Nr. 2 internal alkaline baeries type C (LR14) of 1.5 V each
• External power supply. The type of power supply to be used must have the following output parameters:
5Vdc Imax = 500mA
To replace the baeries, the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) must be opened by unscrewing the 4 screws on the
back of the device (Fig./Abb2). Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) can be powered externally, as described in chapter
13. Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) keeps all stored data including authorized users and recorded access even in
the absence of power.
App
The “Air4 Home” app can be downloaded for free from the Android Play Store™ or Apple Store™. It is compa-
ble with the following systems:
- The iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 7 ,8 and X with iOS 10 or higher.
- Android smartphones with an Android OS of 4.4 or higher.
- Bluetooth LE 4.0 or higher.
The Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) app can control mulple devices at the same me.
The maximum distance between the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) and an automaon to be controlled,
varies according to the type of remote control used. The distance is typically between 20 and 30 metres.
The maximum distance between the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) and a smartphone varies according to the
smartphone model used, but it is typically around 5-15 metres.
The device is weather-resistant and is therefore, not aected by rain, snow or sunlight. It is IP66-cered.
Operang temperature of the device: from -15° C to + 50° C.
Warning: avoid exposure to high temperatures.

8. PROCEDURE
INITIAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Open the device, insert the baeries the correct way round and close the device by ghtening the screws
on the back. (Fig. /Abb.1-2)
2. To start using Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro), download the “Air4 Home” app for free from the Android Play
Store™ or Apple Store™, and follow the instrucons to copy your remote controls.
1. Make sure the remote control baeries are fully charged.
2. Use Easy Scan Plus to ensure the remote control is compable with Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) or consult
the list of compable remote controls on the website www.silca.biz or by consulng the list available
through the app.
3. Start the downloaded App by selecng the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device and use the remote control
COPYING PROCEDURE.
4. The App will ask you to press the remote control key.
5. It is important to keep the right distance between the remote control and Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro)
device (advisable between 2 cm and 5 cm).
6. It is important that the original remote control is in the right posion (Fig./Abb.10).
7. Start the downloaded App by selecng the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device and use the remote control
COPYING PROCEDURE.
1. MOUNTING TO THE WALL: Fix the bracket to the wall via the screws and wall plugs, and secure the device
in the bracket using the screw and nut. (Fig./Abb.4-5)
2. MOUNTING TO A POLE: Secure the device in the bracket using the screw and nut, insert the clamps into
the bracket, and aach it to the pole. (Fig./Abb. 4-5-6)
For both mounng methods, the height at which to place the device must be less than 2 meters above the
ground.
INSERTING BATTERIES
Please dispose of used baeries in accordance with the local regulaons, and separately from household
waste. The device requires 2 x 1.5 V C-type alkaline baeries (R14); these are pre-inserted in the device at the
me of purchase. Make sure that only new baeries are used, every me that the baeries are replaced. We
recommend using alkaline baeries for a longer service life. The Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) device has a rated
voltage of 3.3 V and a power output of 0.3 W.
To replace the baeries, proceed as follows (Fig./Abb.1):
1. Turn the device upside down, unscrew the 4 screws with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the baery
cover. (Fig./Abb.2)
2. Insert the new baeries the right way around, so that the posive (+) and negave (-) ends are in the right
place, as indicated on the labels axed to the baery compartment. (Fig./Abb.1)
Only use and replace the old baeries with baeries that are a suitable size and type (alkaline, zinc-carbon
or zinc chloride).

When the device is rst switched on or reset (see the chapter 11), the device will prompt the user to choose
an 8-digit PIN via the app. The user can enter the PIN of their choice and use this PIN to access the Air4 Home
(Air4 Home Pro) administrator funcons.
The “Air4 Home” app provides the user with the opon to securely save the PIN on the Silca Server, by simply
providing a recovery email address.
In the event that the PIN is no longer available or recoverable, the user must reset the device; this will erase
all the dened sengs, such as the saved remote controls and authorised users.
11. DEVICE RESET
PROCEDURE:
- Access the baery compartment by loosening the two screws on the internal shell (Fig./Abb.7)
- Hold down the Reset key (Fig./Abb.3) for approximately 10 seconds.
- Release the key only when the LED starts ashing more rapidly.
- Wait a few minutes for the device to complete the Reset operaon.
- The operaon will be terminated only when the LED will start ashing regularly (1 ash every 2 seconds).
12. UPDATING THE DEVICE
Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) can be upgraded to a more recent rmware version using the Easy Scan Plus
soware (Air4 programming soware), which is available from the www.silca.biz website, and an adapter
that is sold separately .

WARNING : THIS OPERATION MAKES SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO THE DEVICE AND MUST
ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.
WARNING: The external power supply is an alternave to baeries, and therefore the
baeries must be removed.
The device can be powered through an external power supply capable of supplying 5Vdc Imax=500mA
A normal Smatphone charger has all the necessary features.
(not supplied with the device):
- Fairlead.
- External 5VdC power supply.
- Drill or other tool suitable for drilling.

PROCEDURE
1. Open the device to access the baery compartment and remove the baeries.
2. Use a drill to carefully drill the back of the device; make sure to use a bit with a suitable diameter for the
chosen cable gland . (Fig./Abb.8)
3. Carefully drill the cable gland with the power cable.
4. Carefully remove any plasc shavings from the device . (Fig./Abb.9)
5. Remove the circuit board’s protecve cover by unscrewing the two screws. (Fig./Abb.7)
6. Change the posion of the jumper as shown in the gure. (Fig./Abb.12)
7. Connect the power cable to the board’s connector as per the indicated polarity.(Fig./Abb.13)
8. Reposion and secure the circuit board’s protecve cover and the device’s boom shell.

14. ADVICE SHOULD THE FOLLOWING OCCUR
Nothing happens when the remote control buon is pressed and aer 30 seconds, the app displays an error
screen.
Possible causes:
- The remote control uses an unsupported frequency (e.g. it is a quartz remote control).
- The remote control is very powerful and must be kept further away from the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro).
- The remote control’s baeries are dying and it must be kept closer to the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) or the
baeries must be replaced.
The app immediately displays an error screen when the remote control buon is pressed.
Possible causes
- The remote control is very powerful and must be kept further away from the Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro).
The copying procedure was completed without errors, but when you get to the nal test screen, the gate or
garage won’t open.
Possible causes:
- The remote control is not a compable model.
- The remote control has not been copied within 10 metres of the gate/garage receiver
- If the remote control type is an “automacally-recording rolling code,” the receiver’s automac remote
control recording funcon is disabled (or not supported). Consult the receiver manual and follow the in-
strucons regarding copying a new remote control.
- If the remote control type is a “rolling code with a secret code,” and is a “FAAC” or “GENIUS” model, the
remote is a “SLAVE” model, instead of a “MASTER” model. “SLAVE” remote controls cannot be copied and
it’s therefore necessary to obtain the “MASTER”.
- To idenfy the remote control type, press the remote control buon that opens the gate or garage, and
check what kind of ash is emied from the remote’s LED: 1. If it ashes briey before becoming steadily lit,
it is a MASTER. 2. If it immediately becomes steadily lit, it is a SLAVE remote control and cannot be copied.
- If the radio control is of type V2, there is a guided procedure inside the APP to perform the copy with
idencal serial.
- At the beginning of the copy procedure (1st SCREEN) press the three dots ( ) in the upper right corner and
follow the instrucons.

15. DISPOSAL
The symbol of a crossed waste bin found on equipment or its packing indicates that at the end of the product’s
useful life it must be collected separately from other waste so that it can be properly treated and recycled .
In parcular, separate collecon of this professional equipment when no longer in use is organised and
managed:
a. directly by the user when the equipment was placed on the market before 31 December 2010 and
the user personally decides to eliminate it without replacing it with new equivalent equipment
designed for the same use ;
b. by the manufacturer, that is to say the subject which was the rst to introduce and market new
equipment that replaces previous equipment, when the user decides to eliminate equipment
placed on the market before 31 December 2010 at the end of its useful life and replace it with an
equivalent product designed for the same use. In this laer case the user may ask the manufacturer
to collect the exisng equipment;
c. by the manufacturer, that is to say the subject which was the rst to introduce and market new
equipment that replaces previous equipment, if it was placed on the market aer 31 December
2010 ;
With reference to , when such products are no longer in use the user shall
take them to suitable authorised waste treatment facilies.
Suitable separate collecon for the purpose of forwarding discarded equipment and baeries/accumulators
for recycling, treatment or disposal in an environmentally friendly way helps to avoid possible negave eects
on the environment and human health and encourages re-use and/or recycling of the materials making up
the equipment.
To remove baeries/accumulators, consult the manufacturer’s specic instrucons: (see relevant chapter in
the users’ manual).
The sancons currently provided for by law shall apply to users who dispose of equipment, baeries and
accumulators in unauthorised ways.

Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) è in grado di sostuire tu i radiocomandi a codica ssa e le principali codiche
rolling-code, nelle bande di frequenza da 433.0 a 868.0 MHz, ulizzando le modulazioni AM e FM.

Il disposivo Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) Pro può essere alimentato da:

disposivo (Fig./Abb.2). Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) può essere eventualmente alimentato esternamente,
secondo quanto descrio nel cap. 13.
Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) conserva tu i da memorizza inclusi gli uten autorizza e gli accessi registra
anche in assenza di alimentazione.

L’ App “Air4 Home” è gratuita ed è scaricabile da Android Play Store™ o dall’ Apple Store™ . E’ compabile
con i seguen sistemi:
- Smartphone iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6Plus,7,8 e X con iOS 10 o superiore.
- Smartphone Android con sistema 4.4 o superiore

La distanza massima tra Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) ed una automazione da controllare varia in base alla
pologia di radiocomando ulizzato. Tipicamente tale distanza è compresa tra 20 e 30 metri. La distanza
massima tra Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) e uno smartphone varia in base al modello di smartphone ulizzato
e picamente è circa 5-15 metri.
Il disposivo è resistente ad agen atmosferici, non teme pioggia, neve ed esposizioni ai raggi solari.
E’ cercato IP66.
Temperatura d’esercizio del disposivo: da-15°C a +50°C.
Aenzione: evitare l’esposizione a temperature elevate.

8. PROCEDURE
1. Aprire il disposivo, inserire le baerie con la correa polarità e chiuderlo avvitando le vi sul retro. (Fig.
/Abb.1-2)
2. Per inziare ad usare Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) scarica gratuitamente l’App “Air4 Home” da Android Play
Store™ o dall’ Apple Store™ e segui le istruzioni per copiare i tuoi radiocomandi.
PROCEDURA DI COPIA
1. Assicurarsi che il radiocomando abbia le baerie ben cariche.
2. Assicurarsi che il radiocomando sia compabile con Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) tramite Easy Scan Plus o
consulta la lista dei radiocomandi compabili nel sito web www.silca.biz o consultando la lista disponibile
tramite App
3. Avviare l’App scaricata, selezionare il disposivo Air4 Home (Air4 Home Pro) e seguire la PROCEDURA DI
COPIA del radiocomando.
4. L’ App chiederà di premere il tasto del radiocomando.
5. E’ importante mantenere la giusta distanza tra il radiocomando ed il disposivo Air4 Home (Air4 Home
Pro) (distanza consigliata tra 2 cm ed i 5 cm).
6. E’ importante il giusto posizionamento del radiocomando originale (Fig./Abb.10)
7. Nel caso in cui la copia non dovesse andare subito a buon ne è possibile ritentare la procedura più volte
oppure è possibile tentare l’inserimento manuale.
PROCEDURA DI FISSAGIO DISPOSITIVO
1. MONTAGGIO A MURO: ssare il supporto al muro con vi e taselli e bloccare il disposivo nel supporto
ulizzando vite e dado. (Fig./Abb.4-5)
2. MONTAGGIO A PALO: ssare il supporto al palo con le fascee fornite e bloccare il disposivo nel supporto
ulizzando vite e dado. (Fig./Abb. 4-5-6)
Per entrambe le modalità di montaggio l’altezza a cui posizionare il disposivo deve essere inferiore a 2 metri
dal suolo.
