Instructions
for Use

Quick Start:
When you first open your Silk’n Blue™, charge the Blue
batteries for the first time by plugging the Base Unit to
electrical current and placing the Applicator in it for up
to 6 hours.
Before treatment the skin should be clean, dry and free
of any powder, gel or cream.
Press the Power On/Off Switch. The green Ready/
Treatment Indicator Light (I) will start blinking, and
shortly afterwards will be lit steadily.
Your Blue is ready for treatment.
Place the Treatment Surface on your skin.The LED light
will automatically activate.
Keep holding the Blue Applicator against the skin area
for 3-4 minutes.The Treatment Surface temperature will
slowly increase.
Move the Treatment Surface to the next location and
perform the treatment for 3-4 minutes on each area of
concern.
Treat daily for 6-8 weeks. Repeat the treatment twice a
week for maintenance.

Before You Start
Before using Silk’n Blue for the first time, please read this manual
in its entirety. Pay particular attention to sections on device use
procedures, device operation, and after-use procedures.
What is Silk’n Blue?
Silk’n Blue is a hand held light emitting diode (LED) device for
Acne treatment.
Typical areas for Blue treatment include all face and body areas
with acne problems.
Silk’n Blue device description
Silk’n Blue device consists of a Base Unit, an Applicator and
an Adaptor.
The Blue Applicator is a hand held unit that contains a Treatment
Surface at the tip, On/Off Switch and Light Indicator Panel.
The Blue Base Unit is used to charge the Applicator batteries.

To protect your skin, a temperature sensor is embedded in the
treatment tip of the Silk’n Blue. This sensor ensures the skin’s
surface will not exceed 41°C / 106°F.
When to avoid using Silk’n Blue?
Certain conditions may temporarily prevent the use of Silk’n Blue.
DO NOT USE Silk’n Blue if any of the following conditions apply
to you:
If you have eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds or active
infections, such as cold sores in the area to be treated.Wait for
the affected area to heal before using Blue.
If you have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes or
other systemic or metabolic diseases.
If you are currently or have recently been treated with Beta-
Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), topical retinoic or azelaic acid.
If you have been treated with Accutane
®
(isotretinoin) within
the past 6 months.
If you have been on a steroid regimen within the past 3 months.
If you have a history of herpes outbreaks in the area of
treatment, unless you have consulted your physician and
received preventative before using Silk’n Blue.
Safety with Silk’n Blue
Reducing risks
• Keep Silk’n Blue out of the reach of children.
• Keep Silk’n Blue out of the reach of persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

Keep Silk’n Blue away from water!
Do not use or store Silk’n Blue in a wet environment
(e.g. near a shower or a bathtub)!
• Keep the device and its adaptor dry!
• Do not use Silk’n Blue if the Adaptor or the Applicator is damaged!
• If the Applicator is damaged, make sure it is replaced with an
original part from the manufacturer
If you are unsure if Blue is safe for you to use, please consult with
your doctor or dermatologist.
Possible side effects using Silk’n Blue
When used according to the instructions, side effects and
complications associated with use of Silk’n Blue are rare.
However every cosmetic procedure, including those designed for
home use, involve some degree of risk.Therefore it is important
that you understand and accept the risks and complications that
can occur with energy based systems designed for home use.
Silk’n Blue treatments are generally very well-tolerated. Most
users sense the moderate heat applied by the device during use,
with no further discomfort.
• Minor Skin Discomfort
Your skin may become slightly irritated after using the device.
This is a typical and transient phenomenon. If the irritation does
not disappear within three days, please consult a physician or a
dermatologist.
• Skin Redness
Your skin may become slightly red right after using Blue.This
should disappear a few hours after treatment.

Protect your Silk’n Blue
• Store the device in a clean area free of dust.
• Do not cover the ventilation slots during use.
• Never shake or drop Silk’n Blue or subject it to severe shocks.
• Silk’n Blue is sensitive to environmental temperature during use.
Do not expose the Blue to environmental temperatures lower
than 15°C / 59°F or higher than 35°C / 95°F during use.
• Silk’n Blue device can not tolerate extreme change of tem
perature.
When moved from a cold environment (under 10°C / 50°F)
to a warm environment, avoid use for approximately 3 hours.
• Do not expose Silk’n Blue to direct sunlight or UV light for
long periods of time.
• Silk’n Blue is designed for occasional home use (as opposed to
exhaustive commercial or professional use). Avoid such ex
haustive use.
• Avoid covering Silk’n Blue and its adaptor during recharge.

Skin Treatment the Blue Way
The benefits of Silk’n Blue
Using Blue according to the instructions is expected to result
in the destruction of the bacteria causing acne, the reduction
in the appearance of new pimples and quick healing of
existing pimples.
Best results can be expected 3-7 weeks after completing the
recommended course of treatment.

Typical areas for Blue treatment include all face and body areas
with acne problems.
First Steps with Silk’n Blue
Silk’n Blue Setup
1. Remove Silk’n Blue Base Unit, Applicator, Adaptor and other
components from box.
2. Before using the Silk’n Blue for the first time, fully charge the
battery.This may take up to 6 hours.
Silk’n Blue Battery Charging
Insert the Applicator into its cradle in the Blue Base Unit.

Caution!
Never cover Silk’n Blue and its
adaptor while recharging!
Note!
Silk’n Blue can not be used
while recharging
Plug the Adaptor Plug into the Base Unit socket.
Plug the Adaptor into an electrical outlet. An orange Battery –
Charging - Indicator Light (K) will illuminate to indicate that
your Silk’n Blue is in the process of charging.
When Battery – Charging - Indicator Light (K) turns off and
Battery – Full - Indicator Light (L) illuminates, your Silk’n Blue is
fully charged and ready to start.
(Recharging will be needed when Ready Mode Indicator I
(Green) is blinking)
Plan your Silk’n Blue treatment for best results
The efficiency of the results varies from person to person and
according to the frequency of use. Some may see results sooner
than others.
A Silk’n Blue treatment course should include daily treatments
of all infected areas, over a period of 6-8 weeks
For maintenance use Blue over the infected areas once a week,
spending 3-4 minutes in each problem area., the same way, once
a week.

Treating with Silk’n Blue for the First Time
The skin should be, clean, dry and free of any powder, gel or cream.
Remove Silk’n Blue Applicator from its cradle in the Base Unit.
Press the Power On/Off Switch.The green Ready/Treatment
Indicator Light (I) will start blinking, and shortly afterwards will
be lit steadily.
Your Blue is ready for treatment.
Place the Treatment Surface on your skin.The LED light will
automatically activate.
Keep holding the Blue Applicator against the skin area for 3-4
minutes.The Treatment Surface temperature will slowly increase.
Move the Treatment Surface to the next location and hold
against the skin for another 3-4 minutes.
Perform the treatment for 3-4 minutes on each infected area.
Throughout the treatment course and maintenance period,
it is recommended to wash the infected areas daily.

What to expect when treating with Silk’n Blue?
During a Silk’n Blue session it is normal to experience and feel:
A Sensation of Warmth – During the Silk’n Blue session you
may feel slight warmth.This is normal and should disappear up
to an hour after the session.
Some Mild Red Color – After each Silk’n Blue session you
may notice a slight reddening of the skin (mild erythema) over
the treated area.This is normal and should fade within an hour
or two.
Best results can be expected 3-7 weeks after completing the
recommended course of treatment.
After treating with Silk’n Blue
When the Blue session has been completed, turn off the device
by pressing the Power On/Off Switch.
After each session it is recommended that you clean your Blue
device, especially the Applicator Tip (See Section:“Cleaning
Silk’n Blue”).
Place the Applicator in its Base Unit cradle to recharge the
batteries (See Section:“Silk’n Blue Battery Charging”).

Maintenance of Silk’n Blue
Cleaning the Silk’n Blue
After each session, it is recommended to clean your Silk’n Blue
device:
• Turn the Blue off by pressing the Power On/Off Switch.
• Unplug Silk’n Blue from the electrical outlet
• Allow cooling down of its Treatment Surface.
• Use a dry, clean cloth and a specially formulated cleaner for
electronic equipment togently wipe the device and especially
its Treatment Surface.
• Never immerse Silk’n Blue or any of its parts in water!
• Never clean the Blue or any of its parts under the
tap or in the dishwasher.
Storage
• Store the clean device and all its parts in a dry place, at a
temperature of between -10°C to 60°C / 14°F to 140°F
To protect the environment
At the end of its life, do not discard Silk’n Blue with the normal
household waste. Dispose of it at an official recycling collection
point.
Remove batteries and dispose at an official collection
point for batteries. Please call your local recycling depot
for locations and proper recycling instructions.
Removing the rechargeable batteries
Remove the rechargeable batteries only if they are completely
empty and cannot be recharged.

Undo the screw at the bottom panel of the
Applicator.
Lift and remove the top panel of the Applicator.
Cut the tow wires that connect the electronics card
to the lower panel of the Applicator.
Push the three snaps and pull out the electronics card.
Cut the tow wires that connect the rechargeable
batteries pack to the Applicator.
