GB Using the appliance
Filling the container
The dough must be at room temperature so that it has the right consistency.
If it is too soft, place it in the refrigerator for a short time.
1) Turn the container 7, so that the arrow on the container 7points to the
marking on the motor unit 4.
2) Remove the container 7from the motor unit 4. Leave the threaded rod 5
with the pusher 6in the motor unit 4.
TIP
If required, moisten the inner surface of the container 7with water before
filling it with dough. This helps to prevent the dough from sticking to the inner
surfaces of the container 7.
3) To ease filling of the container 7, form the dough or the decoration sub-
stance into a roll. Fill the container 7with this roll.
NOTE
If you fill the container with cream or any other foamy decoration substance,
ensure that no large air pockets form in the container. Otherwise, the decora-
tion cannot be applied evenly. If required, push the mass carefully together
using the pusher 6during filling as soon as any air pocket has formed. While
doing this, close the nozzle 9with a finger so that the mass is not pressed out
of the container 7.
NOTE
Fill the container 7at the most to the MAX marking . Process the pastry
straight away.

4) Place the container 7onto the motor unit 4as described in the chapter
"Attaching the container". Ensure that the pusher does not fall out of the
motor unit and that none of the mass/dough escapes from the container.
LOCK
5) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
You can now form pastries/add decorations.
Shaping biscuits
NOTES
Use only the pattern discs wfor shaping biscuits.
Do not line the baking tray with Teflon, fats or oil paper, as the biscuits then do
not keep their shape.
Ensure that the locking ring qsits firmly on the container 7and that the
container 7is correctly mounted on the motor unit 4before you switch the
appliance on.
1) Hold the biscuit shaper a little way above the baking tray.
2) Press on the start button 1until the first biscuit has been formed. The length
of time you need to press the start button 1is dependent on the desired
shape and size of the biscuit. If you press the start button 1for just a short
time, you will form a small biscuit. The longer you press the start button 1,
the larger the biscuit will be.
3) Release the start button 1and move the biscuit shaper to another position.
4) Repeat the steps until you have shaped a sufficient number of biscuits.
NOTE
If the dough is too sticky, place it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

GB Adding decorations
NOTE
Use the nozzles 9exclusively for shaping creamy substances, such as
whipped cream.
The decoration substance must have a soft and creamy consistency, otherwise
it will block the nozzle 9.
Press the start button 1only shortly to start with, to see how the substance
responds. It is possible that the substance may continue to flow out for a short
time.
1) Hold the biscuit shaper at a slight angle.
2) Press the start button 1.
3) As soon as the decoration substance starts to flow from the nozzle 9, move
the biscuit shaper in accordance with the decorative design you wish to create.
NOTE
If the pusher 6blocks during use, it may be that the substance or the dough
is too firm. Remove all of the substance/dough and, if necessary, mix a little
liquid into it.
Refilling with dough or decoration substance
DANGER
Remove the plug of the power cord 3from the mains socket before refilling
the dough or decoration substance.
1) Turn the container 7so that the arrow on the container 7moves from the
marking to the marking on the motor unit 4.
2) Remove the container 7from the motor unit 4. Push the threaded rod 5
with the pusher 6back into the motor unit 4.
NOTE
The mechanical propulsion between motor and pusher 6is only engaged if
the container 7is engaged in the motor unit 4. Thus if the container 7is
removed, you can simply push the pusher 6into the motor unit 4.
If necessary, also remove any dough residue that may have collected behind
the pusher 6.
DANGER
The motor unit 4may NOT be submerged in water. If necessary, it can be
wiped clean with a moist cloth.

3) Clean any parts that may be covered with dough and dry them well.
(See chapter "Cleaning").
4) Add dough or decoration substance to the biscuit shaper. Then reassemble
the biscuit shaper and resume your work.
Dismantling the biscuit shaper
DANGER
Remove the mains cable plug 3from the mains socket before taking the
appliance apart.
1) Unscrew the locking ring q.
2) Turn the container 7, so that the arrow on the container 7moves from the
marking to the marking on the motor unit 4.
3) Remove the container 7from the motor unit 4. The threaded rod 5and
the pusher 6can now also be removed.
Tips
■ If required, remove residues from the biscuit shaper with a knife, pastry
scraper or similar.
■ The consistency of the pastry or the decoration substance should be such
that it flows easily through the openings in the pattern discs wor nozzles 9
and remains affixed onto the baking paper or the item being decorated.
■ If the appliance does not start, it may be because the dough or the decora-
tion substance is too firm or that the container 7is not correctly attached to
the motor unit 4.
■ If the dough is too firm to be processed, knead in some egg yolk or add a
little liquid.
■ Biscuit dough that has been kept in the refrigerator can be too firm for
processing.
■ If the dough to be processed is too soft, place it in the refrigerator for about
15 minutes or knead in a little flour.
■ If the biscuit dough contains finely ground constituents (e.g. nuts or almonds),
select a pattern disc wwith larger openings.
■ With some doughs and pattern discs wit is better to work quickly, with
others, better to work slowly.
■ Simply use trial and error until you can produce biscuits that match your
expectations.
■ If you want to use various pattern discs wor nozzles 9, first of all use all
of the currently filled pastry or decoration substance.
Do not change the pattern discs w/nozzles 9until you refill the biscuit shaper.
