UTILISATION
• Chargement de la batterie @
- dans les outils neufs la batterie n’est pas
complètement chargée
! débranchez le chargeur de l’outil après la fin de
la durée de charge rallongant ainsi la durée de
vie de la batterie
IMPORTANT:
- en chargeant, le chargeur et la batterie peuvent devenir
chaud au toucher; cette situation est tout à fait normale
et n’indique pas un problème
! une batterie ion-lithium neuve ou une batterie
ion-lithium qui n’a pas été utilisée pendant une

puissance qu’après environ 3 cycles de charge/
décharge
- branchez le chargeur B sur une prise murale et sur la
prise C
- le témoin de chargement D s’allume pour indiquer que
l’outil est en cours de chargement
- lorsque la batterie est complètement chargée, le témoin
de chargement D s’éteint (au bout de 4-6 heures)
- la batterie ion-lithium peut être chargée à tout moment
(l’arrêt de la charge n’endommage pas la batterie)
- la batterie ion-lithium ne doit pas nécessairement être
vide avant que vous ne la rechargiez (il n’y a pas
d’”eet mémoire” comme avec les batteries nickel-
cadmium)
- si vous prévoyez de ne pas utiliser l’outil pendant
quelques temps, il serait préférable de débrancher le
chargeur du secteur
• Protection de la batterie
Coupe automatiquement l’outil lorsque
1) la température de la batterie n’est pas située dans la
plage de températures de fonctionnement autorisée de
-10 à +60°C
2) la batterie lithium-ion est presque déchargée (pour
empêcher qu’elle ne se décharge complètement)
! ne continuez pas à appuyer sur la commande

- tournez l’outil à l’envers
- poussez sur le bouton de déverrouillage G
- faites glisser le couvercle de protection H dans le
même sens que la èche imprimée sur le couvercle et
soulevez-le du boîtier
! faites attention lorsque vous soulevez le couvercle
de protection; il pourrait arriver notamment que la
lame des cisailles à arbuste tombe sans qu’on s’y
attende
- retirez la lame J ou K en la soulevant et montez la lame
requise comme illustré

- remettez le couvercle de protection H en place et
glissez-le vers la lame jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche
• Tenue et guidage de l’outil

• Taille de haies ^
- taillez d’abord les côtés de la haie (du bas vers le haut),
ensuite, coupez le haut
- taillez le côté de la haie de manière à ce qu’elle soit
légèrement plus étroite en haut
- utilisez une scie à main ou des sécateurs pour couper les
branches plus grosses
- on peut utiliser une lame pour cisailles à arbuste K ainsi
qu’une lame pour cisailles à gazon J pour tailler les haies
• Taille de l’herbe et des arbustes &
- lors de la coupe d’herbe haute, travaillez par étages, à
partir du haut et eectuez de petites coupes
- si vous voulez obtenir une excellente coupe, coupez
seulement des herbes sèches
- tenez l’outil à distance des objets solides an de protéger
les lames de coupe contre une usure excessive
- la lame pour cisailles à gazon J peut aussi être utilisée
pour tailler les arbustes
CONSEILS D’UTILISATION
• Pour tailler une haie à la même hauteur
- attachez un morceau de corde tout le long de la haie à la
hauteur souhaitée
- taillez la haie juste au-dessus de cette corde
• Moments de coupe/de taille recommandés (Europe
occidentale)
- taillez les haies à feuilles caduques en juin et en octobre
- taillez les haies vivaces en avril et en août
- taillez les conifères et les autres buissons à croissance
rapide toutes les 6 semaines de mai à octobre

• Cet outil n’est pas conçu pour un usage professionnel
 
détruire l’outil
• Gardez l’outil, le chargeur et les lames de coupe propres
! débranchez le chargeur du secteur avant de le
nettoyer
- pour nettoyer l’outil, utilisez un chion humide (n’utilisez
jamais de produit de nettoyage ou de solvant)
- après utilisation, nettoyez toujours soigneusement les
lames de coupe et graissez-les légèrement
! portez des gants pendant que vous manipulez ou
nettoyez les lames de coupe
• Vériez régulièrement l’état des lames de coupe et le
serrage des boulons des lames
• Vériez régulièrement s’il y a des pièces usées ou abîmées
et faites-les réparer/remplacer le cas échéant
• Aiguisage des lames de coupe
- enlevez les lames de coupe de l’outil avant de les
aiguiser
- aiguisez les lames de coupe avec une petite lime douce
si elles ont été endommagées par un objet solide
- nous vous conseillons, toutefois, de faire aiguiser les
lames par un spécialiste
- graissez les lames de coupe après les avoir aiguisées
• Rangement *
- rangez l’outil à l’intérieur dans un endroit sec et
fermer à clé, hors de la portée des enfants
- montez convenablement le rail de rangement L sur le
mur avec 4 vis (non fournies) et bien mis à niveau
- utilisez les protège-lames M 2lorsque vous rangez
l’outil
- graissez les lames de coupe avant de ranger l’outil
• Si, malgré tous les soins apportés à la fabrication et au
contrôle de l’outil/chargeur, celui ci devait avoir un défaut,
la réparation ne doit être conée qu’à une station de
service après-vente agréée pour outillage SKIL
- retournez l’outil ou le chargeur non démonté au
vendeur ou au centre de service après-vente SKIL le
plus proche, en joignant la preuve d’achat (les
adresses ainsi que la vue éclatée de l’outil gurent sur
