Cruise control
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are
fitted by a contractual partner.
The cruise control system for retrofitting has exactly the same functionality as optional
equipment package 8T2, which is fitted at the factory.
6V0 054 690 – cruise control system for vehicles not equipped with an on-board computer,
6V0 054 691 – cruise control system for vehicles equipped with an on-board computer.
Note. The figures in these instructions provide general fitting
information. The instructions describe and illustrate the cruise
control fitting procedure for left-hand drive ŠKODA Fabia (NJ) vehi-
cles. Other than the differences illustrated, the procedure for fitting
the cruise control system to the ŠKODA Rapid (NH) is identical. Where
the fitting procedure for right-hand drive vehicles differs in any way,
this will be indicated in the instructions.
Please refer to the Owner's Manual for the vehicle to find out how to
operate the cruise control system.
If the BCM control unit installed in the vehicle has part number
6C0.937.087, 6C0.937.089, or 6C0.937.090 (Kessy), do not replace the
BCM control unit.
If the BCM control unit installed in the vehicle has part number
6C0.937.085, order the higher series BCM control unit with part
number 6C0.937.089 from the spare parts catalogue (ETKA).
The set is designed for left- and right-hand drive ŠKODA Fabia (NJ) and
ŠKODA Rapid (NH) vehicles.

Fitting procedure
The individual components are removed and refitted in accordance with the ŠKODA Repair
Manual.
The vehicle battery should be disconnected during fitting (on vehicles with a coded radio,
first request the code).
Remove the following components from the engine compartment:
› Water box cover.

Remove the following components from the vehicle interior:
› Steering column stalk,
› The cover of the retaining bracket.
Remove the following components from the vehicle interior (right-hand drive vehicles only):
› Radio,
› Storage compartment on the passenger's side.
Disconnect the following components:
› Retaining bracket,
› BCM control unit,
› Engine control unit.
Note. Do not discard the clock spring or its slip ring. Keep them in a
suitable place and reuse them when you refit the steering column
stalk with cruise control system controls.

› Replace the existing steering column stalk with the steering column stalk with cruise con-
trol system controls (A) from set 6V0 054 690 or 6V0 054 691, as appropriate (depending on
how the vehicle is equipped).
Note: When removing and refitting the steering wheel, it is impor-
tant that you maintain the correct position of the steering wheel in
relation to the steering wheel shaft.

› Connect the wires in the wiring harness (B) to the steering column stalk connector in
accordance with the diagram in figure 14 (white wires – PIN 2 and PIN 4 are identical and are
interchangeable).
› Connect the black/blue wire to connector A – PIN 1.
› Connect the white wire to connector A – PIN 2.
› Connect the blue/white wire to connector A – PIN 3.
› Connect the white wire to connector A – PIN 4.
› Connect the black/red wire to connector A – PIN 5.
› Connect the blue/yellow wire to connector A – PIN 6.
› Refit the components that have been removed from the steering column stalk and connect
the steering column stalk connector.
› Route the wiring harness (B) parallel to the existing electrical wiring as far as the retaining
bracket and the BCM control unit. Secure the wiring harness to the existing electrical wiring
using the cable tie (E) (see arrows in the details in fig. 6 and arrows in detail 1 in fig. 7, 8).
Note. Secure the wiring harness behind the steering column stalk
such that the wiring harness cannot collide with the steering column.

When pulling the cruise control system wiring harness through the
vehicle interior (and securing it there), adjust the steering wheel
position such that it is as high as possible.
Once fitting is complete, alter the position of the steering wheel
several times. When doing this, check that the wiring has been
secured in such a way that it cannot be damaged when the steering
wheel is adjusted.
Connect the wires in the wiring harness (B) and the connectors (C, D) to the retaining
bracket in accordance with the diagram in figure 14.
› Use the connectors (C, D) to connect the black/blue wire in the wiring harness (B) to the
wire at the fuse outlet in connection point SA 31.
Connect the wires in the wiring harness (B) to the BCM control unit in accordance with the
diagram in figure 14.
› Connect the blue/yellow wire to connector A – PIN 52.
› Connect the white wire to connector A – PIN 53.
› Connect the black/red wire to connector A – PIN 28.
› Connect the blue/white wire to connector A – PIN 29.
For right-hand drive vehicles only.
› Wrap the white wire in the wiring harness (B) in suitable abrasion-resistant tape right up to
the grommet for the bonnet release mechanism's Bowden cable.
› Route the wire up to the footwell air vent and secure it using the cable tie (E) (see detail 2
in fig. 7, 8).
› Route the wire parallel to the existing electrical wiring and up to the radio area, and secure
it using the cable tie (E) (see detail 3 in fig. 7, 8).
› Route the wire in the radio area behind the radio holder, parallel to the existing electrical
wiring, and into the storage compartment area on the passenger's side (see detail 4 in fig.
7, 8).
› Route the wire in the passenger-side storage compartment area parallel to the existing
electrical wiring for the heating (air conditioning), behind the heating (air conditioning)
insulation, and up to the grommet for the bonnet release mechanism's Bowden cable, and
secure it using the cable tie (E) (see details 5 and 6 in fig. 7, 8).

› Route the white wire in the wiring harness (B) underneath the instrument cluster and up to
the grommet for the bonnet release mechanism's Bowden cable, and pull the wire through
the grommet (see arrow in the detail in fig. 8) and route it up to the engine control unit.
› Wrap the entire length of the wire (in the engine compartment) in abrasion-resistant tape.
› Connect the wire to the connector for the engine control unit in accordance with the dia-
gram in figure 14.
› Petrol engine 1.0 – PIN 23.
› Petrol engine 1.6 – PIN 23.
› Petrol engine 1.2 – PIN 56.
› Diesel engine 1.4 – PIN 44.
› Use the cable tie (E) to secure the wire to the bonnet release mechanism's Bowden cable
and the body (see arrows in the details in fig. 9).
› Seal the grommet for the bonnet release mechanism's Bowden cable with flexible putty to
prevent water from entering.

› Coil the excess length of the white wire into a flat loop, and use the cable tie (E) to secure it
to the existing electrical wiring on the BCM control unit (see arrow in the detail).

› Coil the excess length of the wiring harness (B) into a flat loop, and secure it to the existing
electrical wiring on the retaining bracket, along with the plug-in connection (C, D) (see arrow
in the detail).

› Secure the wiring harness (B) to the plastic duct for the electrical wiring. Then coil the
excess length of the wiring harness into a flat loop and secure it to the existing electrical
wiring at the retaining bracket, along with the plug connection (C, D) (see arrows).

Check that all the wires of the wiring harness (B) are securely attached and seated. The
wires must be secured in such a way that they cannot become loose or damaged and so
that no interference noise occurs while driving. Secure the wiring harness in the area
underneath the instrument cluster with the utmost care so that it cannot become loose.
This prevents them from colliding with any other components located under the instru-
ment cluster (knee airbag, foot pedals, steering column, etc.).
Under no circumstances should the operation of the knee airbag, foot pedals or any other
components located underneath the instrument cluster be impaired. At the same time, it
must still be possible to remove the retaining bracket, as well as the plug on the
BCM control unit.
Refit all of the components that you removed earlier and tighten the respective connec-
tions to the specified tightening torques. Connect the vehicle battery and carry out all
steps for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (see Repair Manual).
Activate the cruise control function as shown in table 15. Check that the cruise control
system is operating correctly when test driving the vehicle.

Tempomat
Produkty příslušenství jsou určeny k odborné montáži. ŠKODA AUTO doporučuje provádět
montáž u smluvních partnerů.
Tempomat pro dodatečnou montáž je funkčně shodný s mimořádnou výbavou montova-
nou přímo z výroby - Paket 8T2.
6V0 054 690 - tempomat pro vozy bez palubního počítače,
6V0 054 691 - tempomat pro vozy s palubním počítačem.
Upozornění. Obrázky v návodu slouží jako obecná informace k
montáži. V návodu je zobrazena montáž tempomatu pro vozy ŠKODA
Fabia (NJ) s levostranným řízením. Postup montáže tempomatu do
vozů ŠKODA Rapid (NH) je až na zobrazené odlišnosti obdobný.
Pokud je montáž pro vozy s pravostranným řízením odlišná, je v
návodu zobrazena.
Popis ovládání tempomatu je uveden v Návodu k obsluze vozu.
Pokud je ve voze řídicí jednotka BCM číslo dílu 6C0.937.087,
6C0.937.089, 6C0.937.090 (Kessy), není potřeba řídicí jednotku BCM
měnit.
Pokud je ve voze řídicí jednotka BCM číslo dílu 6C0.937.085, je nutné
objednat z Katalogu náhradních dílů „ETKA“ řídicí jednotku BCM vyšší
řady, číslo dílu: 6C0.937.089.
Sada je určena pro vozy ŠKODA Fabia (NJ) a pro vozy ŠKODA Rapid (NH) s levo-
stranným i pravostranným řízením.

Postup montáže
Demontáž a zpětnou montáž jednotlivých dílů proveďte dle dílenské příručky ŠKODA.
Po dobu montáže mějte odpojený akumulátor (je-li ve voze kódované autorádio, zjistěte
nejprve jeho kód).
Demontujte v motorovém prostoru:
› kryt vodního kanálu.
Demontujte v interiéru vozu:
› přepínač pod volantem,
› kryt pojistkového panelu.

Demontujte v interiéru vozu (pouze pravostranné řízení):
› rádio,
› schránka spolujezdce.
Uvolněte:
› pojistkový panel,
› řídicí jednotku BCM,
› řídicí jednotku motoru.
Upozornění. Podvolantový kroužek nevyhazujte. Odložte ho na
vhodné místo a následně ho použijte pro zpětnou montáž přepínače
pod volantem s ovládáním tempomatu.

› Stávající přepínač pod volantem vyměňte za přepínač s ovládáním tempomatu (A) ze sady
6V0 054 690, popř. 6V0 054 691 (dle výbavy vozu).
Upozornění. Při demontáži a zpětné montáži volantu je nutné
bezpodmínečně dodržet polohu volantu vůči volantové hřídeli.

› Vodiče svazku elektrické instalace (B) zapojte do svorkovnice podvolantového přepínače dle
schématu na obrázku 14 (bílé vodiče - PIN 2, PIN 4 jsou shodné, smí se mezi sebou zaměnit).
› Černo/ modrý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 1.
› Bílý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 2.
› Modro/ bílý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 3.
› Bílý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 4.
› Černo/ červený vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 5.
› Modro/ žlutý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 6.
› Namontujte zpět demontované díly podvolantového přepínače a zapojte svorkovnici podvo-
lantového přepínače.
› Svazek elektrické instalace (B) veďte podél stávající elektrické instalace k pojistkovému
panelu a řídicí jednotce BCM. Svazek upevněte ke stávající elektrické instalaci stahovacími
páskami (E) -šipky, detaily obr. 6- a -šipky, detail 1 obr. 7, 8-.
Upozornění. Svazek elektrické instalace upevněte za podvolantovým
přepínačem tak, aby nedošlo ke kolizi svazku s tyčí řízení.
Při protahování (a následném upevňování) svazku tempomatu v
interiéru vozu mějte volant vysunutý do nejvyšší polohy. Po skončení
montáže několikrát změňte polohu volantu. Přitom zkontrolujte, je-li
vodič upevněn tak, aby nemohlo při přenastavení volantu dojít k jeho
poškození.

Vodič svazku elektrické instalace (B) a svorkovnice (C, D) zapojte do pojistkového panelu
dle schématu na obrázku 14.
› Černo/ modrý vodič svazku elektrické instalace (B) propojte pomocí svorkovnic (C, D) s vodi-
čem na pozici výstupu pojistky SA 31.
Vodiče svazku elektrické instalace (B) zapojte do řídicí jednotky BCM dle schématu na
obrázku 14.
› Modro/ žlutý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 52.
› Bílý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 53.
› Černo/ červený vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 28.
› Modro/ bílý vodič zapojte do svorkovnice A - PIN 29.
Pouze pro vozy s pravostranným řízením.
› Bílý vodič svazku elektrické instalace (B) omotejte vhodnou otěruvzdornou páskou v takové
délce, aby byl vodič omotaný až k průchodce bowdenu otevírání kapoty.
› Vodič veďte k ofukovači prostoru nohou a upevněte jej stahovací páskou (E)
-detail 2 obr. 7, 8-.
› Vodič veďte dle stávající elektrické instalace k prostoru rádia a upevněte jej stahovací pás-
kou (E) -detail 3 obr. 7, 8-.
› V prostoru rádia veďte vodič za nosičem přístrojů dle stávající elektrické instalace k prostoru
schránky spolujezdce -detail 4 obr. 7, 8-.
› V prostoru schránky spolujezdce veďte vodič dle stávající elektrické instalace topení (klimati-
zace) za tlumením topení (klimatizace) k průchodce bowdenu otevírání kapoty a upevněte jej
stahovacími páskami (E) -detail 5, 6 obr. 7, 8-.

› Bílý vodič svazku elektrické instalace (B) veďte pod přístrojovou deskou k průchodce bowde-
nu otevírání kapoty, vodič protáhněte průchodkou -šipka, detail obr. 8- a natrasujte k řídicí
jednotce motoru.
› Vodič omotejte po celé jeho délce (v motorovém prostoru) otěruvzdornou páskou.
› Vodič zapojte do svorkovnice řídicí jednotky motoru dle schématu na obrázku 14.
› Zážehový motor 1,0 (benzín) - PIN 23.
› Zážehový motor 1,6 (benzín) - PIN 23.
› Zážehový motor 1,2 (benzín) - PIN 56.
› Vznětový motor 1,4 (diesel) - PIN 44.
› Vodič upevněte k bowdenu otevírání kapoty a ke karosérii vozu stahovacími páskami (E)
-šipky, detaily obr. 9-.
› Utěsněte pružným tmelem průchodku bowdenu otevírání kapoty, aby nedocházelo k zaté-
kání do vozu.

› Nadbytečnou délku bílého vodiče smotejte do ploché smyčky a upevněte stahovací páskou
(E) ke stávající elektrické instalaci u řídicí jednotky BCM -šipka, detail-.

› Svazek (B) upevněte na plastové vedení elektrické instalace a poté nadbytečnou délku
svazku smotejte do ploché smyčky a spolu se zapojenými svorkovnicemi (C, D) upevněte ke
stávající elektrické instalaci u pojistkového panelu -šipky-.

Zapojení vodičů svazku elektrické instalace (B) do svorkovnice podvolantového přepínače,
pojistkového panelu, řídicí jednotky BCM a řídicí jednotky motoru.
Zkontrolujte uchycení a upevnění všech vodičů svazku elektrické instalace (B). Vodiče
musí být uchyceny tak, aby nemohlo dojít k jejich uvolnění, popř. poškození a během jízdy
nedocházelo k rušivým zvukům. Zvlášť pečlivě upevněte svazek v místech pod přístrojo-
vou deskou tak, aby nemohlo dojít k jeho uvolnění a tím ke kolizi s ostatními díly umístě-
nými pod přístrojovou deskou (kolenním airbagem, pedály, tyč řízení apod.).
V žádném případě nesmí být omezena funkčnost kolenního airbagu, pedálů a ostatních
dílů umístěných pod přístrojovou deskou. Zároveň musí zůstat možnost uvolnění pojistko-
vého panelu a svorkovnic řídicí jednotky BCM.
Namontujte zpět všechny demontované díly a příslušné spoje utáhněte předepsanými
utahovacími momenty. Připojte akumulátor a proveďte všechny úkony související s odpo-
jením a znovu připojením akumulátoru (viz. Dílenská příručka).
Proveďte aktivaci funkce tempomatu dle tabulek 15. Vyzkoušejte funkci tempomatu
zkušební jízdou.
