STANDARDS AND PROVISIONS: Standards, recommendat ons,
regulat ons and prov s ons of the country n wh ch the dev ces
w ll operate, must be cons dered wh le plann ng and sett ng up
electr cal dev ces. Work on 230 VAC network s allowed for
author zed personnel only.
DANGER WARNINGS: Dev ces or modules must be protected
from mo sture, d rt and damage dur ng transport, stor ng and
operat on.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS: For all modules LONGO LPC-2 – f no
mod f cat ons are performed upon and are correctly connected
by author zed personnel – n cons derat on of max mum
allowed connect ng power, we offer warranty for 24 months
from date of sale to end buyer. In case of cla ms w th n
warranty t me, wh ch are based on mater al malfunct ons the
producer offers free replacement. The method of return of
malfunct oned module, together w th descr pt on, can be
arranged w th our author zed representat ve. Warranty does
not nclude damage due to transport or because of
uncons dered correspond ng regulat ons of the country, where
the module s nstalled.
Th s dev ce must be connected properly by the prov ded
connect on scheme n th s manual. M sconnect ons may result
n dev ce damage, f re or personal njury.
Hazardous voltage n the dev ce can cause electr c shock and
may result n personal njury or death.
NEVER SERVICE THIS PRODUCT YOURSELF!
Th s dev ce must not be nstalled n the systems cr t cal for l fe
(e.g. med cal dev ces, a rcrafts, etc.).
If the dev ce s used n a manner not spec f ed by the
manufacturer, the degree of protect on prov ded by the

1 DESCRIPTION
LPC-2.NE1 Ethernet module s ntended to connect LPC-2 standalone system w th LAN .
It acts as Modbus slave dev ce, us ng TCP/IP protocol. IP and MAC addresses are
conf gurable from ma n controller module appl cat on.
NOTE: For proper system conf gurat on and data allocat on please refer to LPC Composer
software
help menu.

3.2 Mounting instructions

All connect ons, module attachments and assembl ng must be
done wh le module s not connected to the ma n power supply.
Mounting instructions:
1. Sw tch OFF ma n power supply.
2. Mount LPC-2.NE1 module to the prov ded place ns de an electr cal panel (DIN
EN50022-35 ra l mount ng) to the left s de of the LPC-2 controller module.
3. Mount other LPC-2 modules ( f requ red). Mount each module to the DIN ra l f rst,
then attach modules together through K1 and K2 connectors.
4. Connect dev ces and sensor w res accord ng to the connect on scheme n F gure 2.
5. Sw tch ON ma n power supply.
6. LED1 and LED2 should l ght on accord ng to the Table 3.
D smount n reverse order. For mount ng/d smount ng modules to/from DIN ra l a free
space of at least one module must be left on the DIN ra l.
NOTE: LPC-2.MC7 ma n control module should be powered separately from other electr cal
appl ance connected to LPC-2 system. S gnal w res must be nstalled separately from
power and h gh voltage w res n accordance w th general ndustry electr cal nstallat on
standard.

4 OPERATION
4.1 IP an MAC setting
Module un quely ass gned MAC s not saved n NE1 module memory. MAC belong ng to
each module s wr tten on the label on the hous ng. Module gets ts IP & MAC parameters
from PLC appl cat on, therefore th s values should be used n appl cat on runn ng n the
ma n control un t to wh ch module s attached. Th s parameters are conf gured w th
follow ng var ables:

LPC-2.NE1 Ethernet adapter s Modbus slave dev ce and supports Modbus commands as
def ned n protocol spec f cat on V1.1a, us ng TCP/IP protocol, RTU transm ss on mode, ISO
OSI model.
