STANDARDS AND PROVISIONS: Standards, recommendat ons,
regulat ons and prov s ons of the country n wh ch the dev ces
w ll operate, must be cons dered wh le plann ng and sett ng up
electr cal dev ces. Work on 230 VAC network s allowed for
author zed personnel only.
DANGER WARNINGS: Dev ces or modules must be protected
from mo sture, d rt and damage dur ng transport, stor ng and
operat on.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS: For all modules LONGO LPC-2 – f no
mod f cat ons are performed upon and are correctly connected
by author zed personnel – n cons derat on of max mum
allowed connect ng power, we offer warranty for 24 months
from date of sale to end buyer. In case of cla ms w th n
warranty t me, wh ch are based on mater al malfunct ons the
producer offers free replacement. The method of return of
malfunct oned module, together w th descr pt on, can be
arranged w th our author zed representat ve. Warranty does
not nclude damage due to transport or because of
uncons dered correspond ng regulat ons of the country, where
the module s nstalled.

connect on scheme n th s manual. M sconnect ons may result
n dev ce damage, f re or personal njury.
Hazardous voltage n the dev ce can cause electr c shock and
may result n personal njury or death.

2 DESCRIPTION
LPC-2.P02V control panel (CP) s used for room temperature regulat on.
Panel s equ pped w th temperature and l ght ntens ty sensor and two push buttons (PB).
To ncrease, decrease temperature set po nt warmer , cooler PB should be pressed
respect vely.
Temperature SP and panel sw tched off mode are represented w th LED bar-graph. L ght
ntens ty sensor controls LED bar-graph ntens ty.
All parameters are access ble on panel's commun cat on port. When panel s connected to
the LPC-2 ma n control un t (MCU) parameters can be v ewed and mod f ed w th LPC
Manager appl cat on.
LPC-2.P02V parameters and funct ons allows adaptat on to des red system and regulat on
d agram.
Panel s able to regulate 2-p pe or 4-p pe systems, depend ng on 4/2 p pe parameter.

4 OPERATION
Bas c sett ng can be entered w th panel Push Buttons (PB).
Modes of operat on and parameters can be set v a LPC Manager software, some of them
can be also act vated through spec al sequence PB press ng.
4.1 Operational modes
Chang ng operat on modes
Sw tch ng between modes s done w th PB1 (SP Up):
pressed 5 s - sw tch to econom c mode
pressed 10s - sw tch to Off mode
Ex t to normal mode s executed w th a short press on a PB1 (SP Up).
Normal
Th s s default mode of operat on of P01V module.
Economic
If set, controller w ll start cool ng when room temperature w ll ra se above max. temp.
setpo nt (SP) and stop when temperature w ll drop 1 °C below max. temp. SP. On the
other hand, when room temperature fall's below m n. temp. SP controller w ll start heat ng
and stop when temperature w ll ra se 1 °C above m n. temp. SP.
In econom c mode setpo nt LED n barLED1 s bl nk ng.
Off
In th s mode panel sends command to sw tch off all dev ces: hot valve, cold valve, LED's.
CP can be turned off us ng Fan PB or System On/Off command. In th s case cool, heat and
fan commands are sw tched off. Cool and heat commands are also sw tched off when
temperature measured by the panel s ns de temperature deadband values (default = 0.5
°C).
4.2 F nctions
PI controller
Output var able range s 0 to 10000. Values from 0 to 4999 represents cool ng and values
from 5000 up to 10000 represents heat ng.
Example: If proport onal – P parameter (default = 25) s set to 1 and d fference between
measured temperature and temperature set po nt s +1 °C, the PI output value w ll be
5100. On the other hand f the d fference s -1 °C, the control panel regulator output value
w ll be 4900.
If ntegral – I parameter (default = 5) s set to 1 and d fference between measured
temperature and temperature set po nt s +1 °C, the control panel regulator output w ll
ncrease every second by 100. On the other hand f the d fference s -1 °C, the control
panel regulator output w ll decrease every second by 100.
2/4 pipe system selection
Wh le 4-p pe (factory default) system act ve, controller w ll act vate hot water actuator
when heat ng s requ red and cool water actuator when cool ng s requ red.
In case 2-p pe system s act ve, hot water actuator w ll be operated regardless whether
heat ng or cool ng s needed. Mode of operat on (clos ng, open ng) s dependent on
W nter/Summer parameter. Example:
System selected s 2-p pe , summer mode act ve and SP s lower than room temperature.
CP w ll start cool ng w th act vat ng heat valve. In 2-p pe system cool valve s always
nact ve.
Frost protection
Funct on act vates heat command when room temperature measured by the panel drops

below 5 °C. Th s funct on has pr or ty over all control panel ntegrated funct ons.
Open window
Panel w ll operate n spec al mode f open w ndow and opened balcony door are detected.
Th s funct on s enabled by enabl ng parameters Balcony door En. or W ndow En. When
th s funct on s act ve and one of parameters W ndow or Balcony Door commands s
act ve, fan w ll go to the f rst (I.) speed and valves for heat ng and cool ng w ll be closed.
4.3 Parameters
If parameter s set to log cal “1”, s cons dered to be act ve, enabled or set. If parameter
has log cal value “0” s cons dered to be nact ve, d sabled, or cleared.
Parameter can be status, command or both. When parameter s marked as status th s
means that module s send ng nformat on to controller. On the other hand command
represents request from MCU to module.
Commun cat on : Normal state s “1”. If cleared, there s commun cat on error or no
commun cat on establ shed.
Normal/Econom c : When set Econom c mode s enabled. Default value s “0”, therefore
normal mode s selected.
Local/Remote : When “0”, Local mode s selected. In th s mode CP uses setpo nt set by PB.
In remote mode, “1”, CP uses setpo nt rece ved from other dev ces (HMI, Touch
Panel, OT1, ..) through commun cat on channel.
Heat valve : When valve s opened “1” s reported, wh le “0” stands for closed valve
Cool valve : When valve s opened “1” s reported, wh le “0” stands for closed valve
System On/Off : If parameter s set to “1” CP funct ons are execut ng n normal mode. If set
to “0” Fan speed and all valves are OFF (closed).
W nter/Summer: Used only for t wo-p pe system to change calculat on for Hot valve and
Fan speed; W nter – heat ng (“0”) to Summer – cool ng (“1”)
4/2 p pe : Four-p pe system manages hot and cold water p pes s multaneously. Two-p pe
system manages only one pa r of p pes (one valve, pump). Operat on n two-p pe
system s therefore dependent on Change-over parameter.
“0” = Four p pe system
“1” = Two p pe system
Balcony door En. : When sw tch for detect ng opened balcony door s connected to the
system, th s funct on should be enabled (“1”).
Balcony door sw tch : Parameter reports whether door are closed or opened
“0”: closed
“1”: opened
W ndow En. : When sw tch for detect ng opened w ndow s connected to the system, th s
funct on should be enabled (“1”).
W ndow : Parameter reports whether w ndow s closed or opened
“0”: closed
“1”: opened
Max. temp. : denotes max. SP temp. wh ch s scaled to top of barLED1
M n. temp. : denotes m n. SP temp. wh ch s scaled to bottom of barLED1

Absolute PI out : Result of PI calculat on algor thm used for fan speed and valve open ng
L ght ntens ty : Actual l ght ntens ty measured by sensor on CP
M n. l ght ntens ty : When L ght ntens ty s lower than th s parameter, LED bargraph on CP
turns off
Remote temp. SP: When Local/Remote parameter s act ve th s parameter s taken nto PI
calculat on algor thm as SP.
SP up: When Local/Remote parameter s act ve and th s command changes to act ve, CP
w ll ncrement SP for 1/10 of scale. It acts l ke one press on Up PB1 on CP.
SP down: When Local/Remote parameter s act ve and th s command changes to act ve,
CP w ll decrement SP for 1/10 of SP range. It acts l ke one press on Down PB2 on
CP.

Module connects to the MCU un t on ts RS485 port us ng nterconnect on cable (e.g., SSK-
7). When more spec al modules (e.g. LPC-2.ID1V, LPC-2.ID2V, LPC-2.P01V) are connected
to MCU, spl tter s also requ red (e.g. SPL-2). Interconnect on cable can ordered from
Smarteh or term nated on s te, cons der ng w r ng scheme bellow:

5.2 Mo nting frame selection
Frame, su table for P02V module nsert on, should be modular one at least 3 gang w de.
Be careful to have correspond ng flush-mount ng box prov ded on the place where module
w ll be pos t oned.
Smarteh has ver f ed follow ng l nes to be compat ble w th LPC-2.P02V module:

Frames of other vendors most probably su ts as well, but they were not ver f ed by
Smarteh. Before nstallat on ver fy compat b l ty of non l sted frames.
Module hous ng has a f n on each s de, wh ch can be eas ly removed w th kn fe cutter or
pl ers. Th s adaptat on enables hous ng to be bu ld n var ous frame formats. W th regard
to frame used you may remove f n for hous ng to f t n.

All connect ons, module attachments and assembl ng must be
done wh le module s not connected to the ma n power supply.
Module should be pos t oned n the wall ns de of the room.
Avo d d rect sunl ght or pos t on ng near heat ng/cool ng source

1. Set the correct RS485 address (S1 sw tch) for LPC-2.P02V (refer to the Table 4).
2. Connect nterconnect on cable to the connector K1. Max. allowed tract ve force s
30 N.
3. Put the LPC-2.P02V n mount ng frames
4. Cover LPC-2.P02V w th cover plate
LPC-2.P02V s connected to the ma n control un t w th nterconnect on cable (e.g., SSK-7)
wh ch must be ordered together w th LPC-2.P02V module. When more modules (e.g., LPC-
2.ID1V, LPC-2.ID2V, LPC-2.P02V or up to four LPC-2.P02V) are connected to ma n control
un t, spl tter (e.g., SPL-2) s also requ red (F gure 2).
Module address on RS485 network s set w th DIP sw tch on the back the module (Table
4).
NOTE: S gnal w res must be nstalled separately from power and h gh voltage w res n
accordance w th general ndustry electr cal nstallat on standard.
