Safety Signal Words
All safety messages contain a safety signal word that indicates the level of the hazard. An
icon, when present, gives a graphical description of the hazard. afety ignal words are:
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury to the operator or to bystanders.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury to the operator or to bystanders.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in moderate or
minor injury to the operator or to bystanders.
Safety essage Conventions
afety messages are provided to help prevent personal injury and equipment damage. afety
messages communicate the hazard, hazard avoidance and possible consequences using
three different type styles:
• Normal type states the hazard.
• Bold type states how to avoid the hazard.
• Italic type states the possible consequences of not avoiding the hazard.
An icon, when present, gives a graphical description of the potential hazard.

Use caution and proper procedures when connecting and disconnecting leads.
Diagnostic equipment must be located 18" or more above floor level. Avoid

Chapter 2: Basic Tool Operation and Navigation
When testing sensor position TP S4 antenna on sidewall
near valve. Press TEST to trigger sensor.
On certain applications such as Asian
vehicles, a Snap-on diagnostic scan
tool is required to place the vehicle into
relearn mode. For these applications,
the TP S4 triggers the TP sensors in
order to register the sensor IDs to the
on-board vehicle computer.

Perform this function to retrieve TPM sensor information,such as Unique sensor ID, Pressure,
Frequency,Temperature, Battery status (Note: Ford banded style-sensors requires the trigger-
ing to be performed 180 degree from valve stem).The following sensor information
insures that the TPM sensor is correct and that it is working as designed.

Perform the TPM system reset of relearn procedure after tire service, such as a rotate or after
pressure adjustment.Note: Cold pressure adjustment is always recommended when adjusting
pressure to recommended placard specification.

Special Functions
pecial enhanced functions are enabled to the TPM 4 that allows the user to perform and insure
that the vehicle will achieve relearn mode and the registration of the new sensor ID's are suc-
cessful. The special functions will include Key fob testing, REDI ensor - Unlock, and future
TPM procedures.

placement. Instructs for the use of nap-on diagnostic equipment to scan for DTC codes, as it
may direct the user to an in-depth diagnosis. Diagnosis of all DTC's is always recommended be-
fore a successful RELEARN can be achieved.

USB Jump Drive TP Sconnect
The U B jump drive is used to install the TPM connect portal and also includes TPM 4 User's
manual. Insert the U B Jump Drive into the PC or Laptop U B port and follow the on-screen in-
structions. This will provide the user with initial product registration and it will also bring the TPM 4
to the most current software version. After the first 12-months the purchase of TPM 4U update
will allow software updates for a 12-month time period.

Chapter 3: PC Print Instructions
Print Sensor Information–
Connect to PC to print the last vehicle sensor data screen.
Printing sensor information such
as ensor ID, Pressure, Temper-
ature and Battery condition is a
feature of the TP S4. This func-
tion is performed after triggering
the vehicle sensors and connect-
ing the TP S4 through the
WebTP portal. In some cases,
printing sensor information
requires the most current soft-
ware version to be functional.
I PORTANT:
This feature is only available after
the user has triggered the TPM
sensors in the vehicle, and the
tool has not been turned off.
1) Trigger TPM sensors with the
TP S4.
2) Open up the TPM connect portal.
3) Connect U B cord to PC/Lap-
top and docking station.
4) In the TPM connect portal,
select "Print ensor Information".
5) ensor information is sent to
the printer.
Printing Result function will not
be available if the TP Sconnect
software driver is not installed.

maintenance) of the Equipment or related equipment, attachments, peripherals or optional features by other than
Seller’s authorized representatives; (D) improper or negligent use, application, operation, care, cleaning, storage
or handling; (E) fire, water, wind, lightning or other natural causes; (F) adverse environmental conditions, including,
without limitation, excessive heat, moisture, corrosive elements, dust or other air contaminants, radio frequency
interference, electric power failure, power line voltages beyond those specified for the Equipment, unusual phys-
ical, electrical or electromagnetic stress and/or any other condition outside of Seller’s environmental specifications;
(G) use of the Equipment in combination or connection with other equipment, attachments, supplies or consum-
ables not manufactured or supplied by Seller; or (H) failure to comply with any applicable federal, state or local
regulation, requirement or specification governing emission analyzers and related supplies or consumables.
Repairs or replacements qualifying under this Warranty will be performed on regular business days during Seller’s
normal working hours within a reasonable time following purchaser’s request. All requests for Warranty service
must be made during the stated Warranty period. Proof of purchase date is required to make a Warranty request.
This Warranty is nontransferable.
