This document provides operating, maintenance and installation instructions of
COUNTIS M43. The unit measures and display the characteristics of 1P2W,3P3W,
3P4W’s application. It provides voltage, current, power, frequency, power factor
and energy etc. It is a 1A or 5A current transformer operated and can be configured
to work with a wide range of CTs. COUNTIS M43 provides two pulse outputs and 1
remote communication port.

The meter provides a RS485 port for remote communication. Modbus RTU is the
protocol applied. For Modbus RTU, the following RS485 communication parameters
can be configured from the Set-up menu.

通过Modbus 通讯设置。

Pulse output 2 is non-configurable. It is fixed up with Import kWh. The constant is
3200imp/kWh.
The Pulse width: 90ms

The equipment (device, module) may only be used for the application
specified in the catalogue and the user manual, and only be connected with
devices and components recommended and approved by SOCOMEC.

Use only insulating tools.

Do not connect while circuit is live (hot).

Place the meter only in dry surroundings.

Do not mount the meter in an explosive area or expose the meter to dust,
mildew and insects.

Make sure the used wires are suitable for the maximum current of this meter.

Make sure the AC wires are connected correctly before activating the
current/voltage to the meter.
在上电使用前，确认电压、电流接线正确。
Do not touch the meter connecting clamps directly with your bare
hands, with metal, blank wire or other material as you may get an electrical
shock.
不要直接用裸露的手去操作安装，触碰金属，电线或其他材料，避免触电。
Make sure the protection cover is placed after installation.
Installation, maintenance and reparation should only be done by qualified
personnel.
确保安装后安装保护罩。安装、维修只能由合格人员操作完成。
Never break the seals and open the front cover as this might influence the
functionality of the meter, and will avoid any warranty.
不要破坏铅封和拆开电表。如果擅自破坏铅封和拆开电表，该表将不再享受质

Do not drop, or allow physical impact to the meter as there are high precision
components inside that may break.

Before proceeding with the implementing, mounting, commissioning, configuration,
cleaning, decommissioning, dismounting, wiring or maintenance operations, the
product and the installation must be powered off. However, specific instructions for
a product may allow live intervention under certain conditions, means, qualifications
and authorizations.
The product is not to be repaired by the user.

5.2 Pulse Output 1脉冲1
Pulse output 1 is configurable. The pulse output 1 can be set to generate pulses to
represent kWh / kVArh.
脉冲1是可设置的。脉冲输出模式可按需设置成有功/无功电量。
The pulse constant 1 pulse per :
0.01=10 Wh/Varh
0.1=100Wh/Varh
1=1kWh/kVarh
10=10kWh/kVarh
100=100kWh/kVarh
1000=1000kWh/kVarh
Pulse width: 200 / 100/ 60ms ( default)
脉冲宽度可设置 200/100/60ms (默认)。
ATTENTION:Pule output must be fed as shown in the
wiring diagram below.Scrupulousil respect polarities
and the connection mode. Opto-coupler with
potential-free SPST-NO Contact.

5.1 Pulse Output 脉冲 输出
The meter is equipped with 2 pulse outputs, which are fully isolated from
the inside circuit. That generates pulses in proportion to the measured
energy. The pulse outputs are polarity dependent , passive transistor
output requiring an external voltage source for correct operation. For
this external voltage source, the voltage shall be 5-27V DC, and the
maximum input current shall be 27mA DC.
