感電にご注意を
•部品交換の場合は感電の危険があるので電源プラグを抜いてください。
•内部には高電圧の部分があり、通電時においては感電の危険がありますの
で充分にご注意ください。
部品の取り付けや配線の引き回しは元どおりに
レンズ交換のために、動かしたハーネスや開放したクランパーなどは、その
ままでは、発熱部品や高電圧部品および可動部分などに触れる危険がありま
すので、必ず元どおりにハーネスを引き回し、クランパーで元どおりに固定
してください。
サービス後は安全点検を
サービスのために取りはずしたネジ、部品、配線が元どおりになっているこ
と、また異物が入っていないことを確認してください。またサービスした箇
所の周辺の部品および線材の損傷してしまったところがないかなどを点検し
てください。
•感電・漏電を防ぐために金属部と電源プラグの絶縁チェックを行ってください。
絶縁チェックの方法
電源コンセントから電源プラグを抜き、電源スイッチを入れます。500V絶
縁抵抗計を用いて電源プラグのそれぞれの端子と外部露出金属部との間で、
絶縁抵抗値が 1M Ω以上であること。この値以下のときはセットの点検修
理が必要です。

レンズをのぞかない
投影中にプロジェクターのレンズをのぞくと強い光が目に入り、目に悪影響
を与えることがあります。
レンズ交換時には安全性を確保する
レンズ交換作業は、作業台に置いて行い、天井つり状態では行わないでくだ
さい。

概要
このVPLL-ZM100は、ソニーLCDプロジェクター用の長焦点（ズーム）
交換レンズです。
対象機種は、以下のとおりです。
・ソニーLCDプロジェクターVPL-V500QJ
・ソニーLCDプロジェクターVPL-S500J
・ソニーLCDビデオプロジェクターVPL-W400QJ

レンズ交換のしかた
レンズ交換の手順
4シールドケースの上ぶたをはずす。
配線止めをはずし基板に接続されているコネクター（VPL-
V500QJ/S500Jは7か所、VPL-W400QJは8か所）および、3か所
のLCDパネルのフレキシブルケーブルを端子から取りはずす。
3上部カバーからC基板に接続されているコネクター（1か所）をは
ずし、上部カバーをはずす。
1プロジェクターの電源を切る。
2プラスドライバーを使用して上部カバーの4本（3×8）のネジを取
りはずす。
ご注意
フレキシブルケーブルの先には手を触れないでください。

7交換レンズのラベル側を上にして、本体側と交換レンズ側の白い
ペイントマーク（）を合わせ、本体に組み込む。
４本（4×12）のネジで交換レンズを固定する。
5C基板を固定しているネジ２本（3×8）および、4か所のクラン
パーをはずす。
C基板を上側に垂直に上げ、C基板下部のQ基板/B基板と接続
されているコネクター 3 か所をはずす。
6レンズを固定している４本のネジ（4×12）をはずし、レンズを前
側に取りはずす。

レンズ交換のしかた
ご注意
基板を元に戻す前に、結線類が基板と本体の間に挟まらないようにし
てください。
8手順5で取りはずしたC基板を下部の3か所のコネクターをはめ
て、取り付ける。
クランパー4か所をとめ、2本のネジ（3×8）で基板を固定する。
LCDパネルのフレキシブルケーブル3か所をしっかりとはめ込む。
9はずしたコネクター（VPL-V500QJ/S500Jは7か所、VPL-W400QJ
は8か所）を端子につなぎ直し、配線止めをはめる。
シールドケースの上ぶたをかぶせる。
10手順3ではずした、上部カバーから出ているコネクターを文字があ
る面を上にしてC基板上の端子につなぎ直す。

フレキシブルケーブルの先には手を触れないでください。

11線材をはさまないように上部カバーを元どおりかぶせ、４本 のネジ
（3×8）で固定する。

レンズ交換の際のご注意
•取りはずしたレンズまたは取り付けるレンズを置くときは、しっかりした
水平な台の上に静かに横にして置いてください。レンズ面は傷つきや
すいので取り扱いには充分注意してください。
•レンズ面には手を触れないようにしてください。

Precautions
To the user:
This manual is intended only for authorized service personnel.
Do not replace or install the lens on your own; doing so may
result in electrocution, fire or injury.
The VPLL-ZM100 lens is a long focus zoom lens designed
for use with the Sony LCD projectors.
You can use any of the following projectors for this lens.
• Sony VPL-V500Q/QM LCD projector
• Sony VPL-S500U/E/M LCD projector
• Sony VPL-W400Q/QM LCD video projector

Replacing the lens
Replacing the lens
1Turn off the MAIN POWER switch of the projector.
2Remove the four screws (3 x 8 mm) on the top panel with
a Phillips-head screw driver.
4Remove the shield case lid.
Remove the cable harness and remove all the plugs from
their connectors in the circuit board (7 plugs in the VPL-
V500Q/QM, S500U/E/M; 8 plugs in the VPL-W400Q/
QM). Also remove the three LCD panel flexible cables
from their connectors.
3Disconnect the connector of cable (1 plug) running
between the top panel and the circuit board C of the
projector and remove the top panel.

5Remove the two screws (3 x 8mm) and the four clamps
that hold circuit board C in place.
Lift up circuit board C and remove the three connectors
joined to circuit boards Q and B below.
7With the VPLL-ZM100 replacement lens label facing
upwards, align the painted white mark ( ) on the lens
with the white mark ( ) on the projector and insert the
lens.
Secure the lens with the four screws (4 x 12 mm).
6Remove the four screws (4 x 12 mm) that hold the lens in
place and remove the lens from the front of the projector.

Note
When replacing the circuit board, be careful not to pinch any
cables between the boards and the projector chassis.
9Replace all of the plugs in their respective connectors (7
plugs for the VPL-V500Q/QM, S500U/E/M; 8 plugs for
the VPL-W400Q/QM) and attach the cable harnesses.
Replace the shield case lid.
8Insert the three connectors of the circuit board C that you
removed in step 5 and circuit board C. Secure the circuit
board with the four clamps and two screws (3 x 8mm).
Connect the LCD panel flexible cables (3) firmly.
10With the letter side facing upwards, reinsert the connector
of the cable running from the top panel (remove in step 3)
into its connector of the circuit board C within the
projector.
Note
Do not touch a tip of the felxible cable.

11Replace the top panel taking care not to pinch any of the
cables. Secure it with the four screws (3 x 8 mm).
12Install the projector in its intended place of use.
For details on installation, see pages 62 to 73.

Notes on Lens Replacement
• Lenses scratch easily. When handling lenses, always place
them gently on a stable, level surface in a horizontal position.
• Avoid touching the lens surface.
