1. Outline
The SU-C3390 is a console unit installing the audio mixer MXP-S390/P390 series.
Assembling the console for the mixer requires the base unit SUA-B3001 and the side panel SUA-C3000
in the SU-C3000 series .
How to assemble the console is described in the manual.
SU-C3390 may be integrated in the ENG editing or program production system composed of the SU-
C3000 series units. In this case, refer to the manual of SU-C3000 series.

3-1. Major Blocks of Console
The console is roughly divided into the following three
kind of blocks:
(a) Console unit : SU-C3390
(b) Side panels : SUA-C3000 (option)
(c) Base unit : SUA-B3001 (option)
3-2. Assembling the Base Unit
For detail, referring to the SU-C3000 series manual which
is supplied with SUA-B3001.
3-3. Mounting the Console Unit
Mount the console unit to the base unit that has been
assembled in Section 3-2.
(1) Turn the two fasteners fixing the rear cover to open,
and remove the rear cover of the console unit.

(2) Place the console unit on the base unit, matching the
notch on the bottom of the console unit with the dowel
of the base unit, and slide the console unit in the arrow
direction to install on the base.
When doing so, make sure the center of the console
unit aligns with the center of the base unit.
(3) Using the two tie plates, fix the console unit to the
base unit.
(4) Open the two fasteners as mentioned above, and
remove the bottom plate of the console unit.
(5) Mount the right and left side panels according to the
SU-C3000 serise manual.

4. Assembling the Console-connected System
When connecting two units of SU-C3390 or making a system connected with the console in the SU-3000
series, refer to “How to assemble” in the manual of SU-3000 series.

When connecting two units of SU-3390, use the three joints shown in the parts list in Section 2.
5. Mounting the Audio Mixer

Do the following between the two persons.
Be careful to catch each other's hands or fingers in the unit, then slowly lower together.
5-2. Installing the Ornamental Panel
Fit the strike on the decorative panel into the catch on the
console, and fix the panel by pressing with both hands.
5-1. How to Mount
Put the audio mixer diagonally into the console, and slowly
lower its front side.

6. Mounting the Equipment for
19-inch Rack
Fix the equipment to the console with the four screws RK
5x16 and the trapezoidal washers. For the equipment
considered to be too heavy to support, mount support angle.
How to mount the support angle:
Fix a couple of support angles to the console using the
two screws B 4x8 respectively.
Model of support angle : SUA-AN3020C (option)
Using the blank panels, plug the openings not to be
connected with any equipment. Fix the panels using the
screws RK 5x16 and the ornamental washers in the same
way as the equipment is fixted.

7. Installing the Console

Prevent damage to the power cord of the mounted
equipment.
The damaged cord may cause the fire or electric shock.
Exercise care the power cord to avoide pinching or
contacting a sharp edge.
(1) After mounting the equipment, transfer the console to
the installation site and lock the all casters.
(2) Connect the signal cable and the power cable. Slack
the cables slightly.
(3) Mount the rear cover and bottom plate that have been
removed in Section 3-3.

8. Repare Parts
8-1. Notes on Repare Parts
1. Standardization of Parts
Some repair parts supplied by Sony differ from those used
for the unit. These are because of parts commonality and
improvement.
Parts list has the present standardized repair parts.
2. Stock of Parts
Parts marked with “o” at SP (Supply Code) column of the
spare parts list may be not stocked. Therefore, the
delivery date will be delayed.
