Operating Instructions
UPA-21SAは、カラービデオプリンターUP-20、 UP-21MD、
UP-21MDS、 YP-22MD、カラーエコーコピアSSZ-709、
デジタルカラープリンターUP-D21MDをラックなどに収納して
使用する際に、ラックなどに取り付けてプリンターを容易に出し
入れするためのレールキットです。
The UPA-21SA is the rail kit designed for use with the Sony UP-21MD
video color printer series and the UP-D21MD digital color printer series.
Attaching the rail kit onto the rack allows you to pull out and push in the
printer.

下記の注意を守らないと、けがをしたり
周辺の物品に損害を与えることがあります。
スライドレールをロックする
スライドレー ル をロックしないと、本機が不用意に動い
てけがの原因となることがあります。
取り付け時にネジを確実に締める
ネジの締めつけが不充分な場合、本機が落下し、け
がをする原因となることがあります。
運搬時には、接続ケーブルを取り外す
本機を運搬する際には、電源コードおよび接続ケーブ
ルを 必 ず 取り外してください。接続ケーブルに引っ掛
かると、転倒や落下の原因となることがあります。
製品の設置は十分な強度のある場所に取り付
ける
強度の不十分な場所に設置すると、落下、転倒などに
よりけがの原因となります。
前扉の開閉の際に手や指をはさまない
前扉を開閉するときに手や指をはさみ、けがの原因と
なることがあります。
また、前扉を開けたままで使用しないでください。
安全のために
本機は正しく使用すれば事故が起きないように、安全には充分配慮し
て設計されています。しかし、まちがった使いかたをすると、大けがな
ど人身事故につながることがあり、危険です。
事故を防ぐために次のことを必ずお守りください。
ご使用にあたっては、カラービデオプリンターUP-20、UP-21MD、
UP-21MDS、YP-22MD、カラーエコーコピアSSZ-709およびデジタ
ルカラープリンターUP-D21MDに付属の取扱説明書の「安全のた
めに」をよくお読みください。

Precautions
If this rail kit is installed incorrectly, personal injury or damage to
peripheral items may occur due to electrical shock or other
accidental circumstances.
To the technician installing the kit
Pay attention to the following when installing the kit.
• Lock the slide rail.
If you do not lock the slide rail, the printer may move accidentally.
This may cause an injury.
• Tighten the screws.
If the screws are not tightened completely, the printer may fall and
cause an injury.
• Remove the connecting cables when transporting the printer
Remove the power cable and all connecting cables when trans-
porting the printer. If the cables get caught on something, this may
cause you to fall down or to drop the printer.
• Mount the printer someplace that is strong enough to
support the printer.
If you do not so, the printer may fall down or drop. This may cause
an injury.
• Be careful not to catch your fingers when opening or closing
the front panel of the printer.
When opening or closing the front panel, the panel may catch your
fingers. This could cause an injury.
Also, do not use the printer when it is pulled out.

裏側で止める場合
When securing the base from the bottom
取り付けるには
次の手順でスライドアダ プターを 取り付 けます 。
To install the rail kit
Proceed as follows to install the rail kit.
1ベースを、4本のネジで台に取り付ける。
ネジ飛び出し量は、約 1mm です。ネジの長さは、設置台とベー
スの厚み（1.6mm）とに 約 1 m m 足した 長さのネジを用 意してくだ
さい。
Attach the base onto the rack with four screws.
The screws should protrude from the rail by about 1 mm.
Use screws whose length is equal to the thickness of the rack
and the base (the base thickness is 1.6 mm) and long enough to
allow the screw to protrude about 1 mm from the rail.

取り付ける

設置場所について
プリンター上面、側面の通風孔部との間は 10mm 以上開けて設置し
てください。
About the installation location
Install the printer leaving a space of more than 10 mm between the
top and left ventilation holes and the installation location.

4 つのネジ穴を切ってください。

2プリンター本体の裏側から、4本の足を取りはずす。
外した 足は、将来、レールからはずして使用する場合のため保管
しておいてください。
Remove the four screws from the bottom of the printer.
Retain the four removed screws in case you want to unmount
the printer from the rail kit.
3左右両側面から4本のビスを取りはずす。
Remove the four screws from both the right and left
sides of the printer.
4レールを、手順3ではずしたネジでプリンター左右の側面に
それぞれ取り付ける。
Attach the appropriate rails to the right and left sides of
the printer using the screws removed in step 3.

5プリンター本体をレールにはめ込み、カチッとロックされる
まで押し込む。
Fit the printer into the rails and push it in until it locks
with a click.
ご注意
接続の際に、接続コード類をハーネスで止めるなどして挟み 込
まないような処理を施してください。
Note
Tie all cables with harnesses and so on when connecting the
printer so that the cables will not be caught when you pull out
and push in the printer.
ラベルについて
付属のラベルをプリンター本 体 の見える場 所 に 貼ってください。
About the label
Attach the supplied label on a post of the printer where it can
be seen.
レールのローラーがベースのレールの溝には
め込まれていることを確認する。
Confirm that the rollers of the right and left
rails fit into the grooves of the base.
きちんと押し込まれると、
レバーが上がってカチッ
とロックされる。
When the printer is
completely pushed in,
the lever pops up with
a click and the printer
is secured.

6ストッパーを図のようにしてネジ（付属）で取り付ける。
Attach the stoppers with the screws supplied, as
illustrated.

レバーを交換するには
レバーのロックや解除がしにくいなど、設置場所により、レバーを長
いものに 交 換 することが できます。
To change the lever
You can change the lever attached to the rail to a longer lever
depending on the location if the current location makes it hard to
lock or unlock the lever.
1短いレバーを取りはずす。
Remove the short lever as follows.
2長いレバーにバネを取り付ける。
Attach the spring to the long lever.
3手順1ではずしたシャフトを使って、ベースに長いレバーを
取り付ける。
Secure the long lever to the base using the shaft
removed in step 1.

1Remove the washer.
2Remove the shaft.
3Pull out the lever.
取りはずした短いレバーとバネは保管しておいてください。
Keep the short lever and its spring for future use.
1シャフトを元の位置につける。
2ワッシャーでとめる。
1Attach the long lever to the rail
using the shaft.
2Secure them with the washer.

インクリボンを取り付ける際に、プリンター本体を引き出すときは、以下のように引き出します。
Pull out the printer mounted onto the rail kit as follows, when loading the ink ribbon.
プリンターを引き出す
Pulling Out the Printer
レバーを上方にあげてロックをはずし、プリンター本体を手前に引き
出します。
Pull the lever upward to unlock the printer from the rail and pull out
the printer toward you.
レバーが上がってカチッと
ロックされるまで押し込み
ます。
Pull the lever downward until
the printer is completely
locked (with a click).

な い ようにし てください。
The printer is secured by a stopper on the right-hand side when it is
pulled out. Be careful not to pull the printer out forcibly.
プリンターを元の位置に戻すには
To reset the printer to the original position

明書をご覧ください。
For detailed information on how to load the paper, refer to the
Operating Instructions supplied with the printer.
