1. Prevention against overloading of branch circuit
When this product is installed in a rack and is
supplied power from an outlet on the rack, please
make sure that the rack does not overload the supply
circuit.
2. Providing protective earth
When this product is installed in a rack and is
supplied power from an outlet on the rack, please
confirm that the outlet is provided with a suitable
protective earth connection.
3. Internal air ambient temperature of the rack
When this product is installed in a rack, please make
sure that the internal air ambient temperature of the
rack is within the specified limit of this product.
4. Prevention against achieving hazardous
condition due to uneven mechanical loading
When this product is installed in a rack, please make
sure that the rack does not achieve hazardous
condition due to uneven mechanical loading.

This manual is intended for use by trained system and service engineers, and
describes the information for installation of the unit.

The installation procedure of the PFV-D10 is shown in the
following flowchart.

To prevent overheating of the PFV-D10 ensure that there is
good air circulation around the unit.

Do not block the ventilation holes of the unit.
Place the unit at least 20 cm away from the walls for ventilation and maintenance.
The outer dimensions of the PFV-D10 are as shown in the figure below.

Turn off the power and unplug the power plug from the
outlet before installing or removing the board.
Front side
1. Remove the two screws, then remove the front panel.
2. Remove the screw, then remove the board retainer.
3. Insert the optional board along the board guide rails.
4. Push the optional board with the board levers turned in
the direction of the arrow 1until it connects to a
motherboard of the unit securely.
5. Install the board retainer.
6. Install the front panel.

When removing the optional board, turn the board levers in
the direction of the arrow 2, then pull out the board
toward you.

1. Remove the two screws, then remove the connector
cover on the rear side.
2. Insert the optional connector panel.
3. Secure the connector panel with the two screws
securing the connector cover.

Attach the connector cover to a dead solt. Opening the slot
may cause an electric shock and cannot realize an air-
cooled effect of the unit.

The PFV-D10 can be mounted in a 19-inch standard rack.
