Sonderausführungen können bei zusätzlichen/abweichenden Bestelloptionen von den
hier beschriebenen Darstellungen abweichen.
4 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Steuergerät 8453 ist eine druckfest gekapselte Komponente zum Einbau von
elektronischen, elektrischen oder elektromechanischen Bauteilen. Eingebaut werden
können beispielsweise bedrahtete Bauelemente mit zwei Anschlüssen wie Widerstände,
Dioden oder Sicherungen.
Das Gerät ist für den Einbau in Gehäuse der Zündschutzart Erhöhte Sicherheit „e“ für
den Einsatz in explosionsgefährteten Bereichen der Zonen 1 und 2 vorgesehen.

Luft- und Kriechstrecken einhalten!
Beim Einbau der Geräte in ein Gehäuse der Zündschutzart Erhöhte
Sicherheit „e“ müssen Luft- und Kriechstrecken gemäß IEC/EN 60079-7
eingehalten werden.

- Beachten Sie die Angaben in dem Kapitel „Technische Daten“.
- Der Leiteranschluss ist mit besonderer Sorgfalt durchzuführen.
- Die Leiterisolation muss bis an die Klemmstellen heranreichen.
- Der Leiter darf beim Abisolieren nicht beschädigt (eingekerbt) werden.
- Durch eine geeignete Auswahl der verwendeten Leitungen sowie durch die Art der
Verlegung ist sicherzustellen, dass die maximal zulässigen Leitertemperaturen und
die maximal zulässige Oberflächentemperatur nicht überschritten werden.

Richtigen Leiteranschluss sicherstellen!
Beachten Sie die Angaben zum Anschlussquerschnitt im Kapitel
„Technische Daten“.
Bei Ausführungen mit Schraubklemme können 1 und 2 Leiter unter eine
Anschlussklemme installiert werden.
Bei eindrähtigen Leitern müssen beide Leiter den gleichen Querschnitt
aufweisen sowie aus dem gleichen Material bestehen.
Werden Aderendhülsen verwendet, müssen diese mit einem geeignetem
Werkzeug angebracht werden.

Xder Anschluss ordnungsgemäß ausgeführt ist

4 Intended Use
The control unit 8453 is a flameproof encapsulated component for installation of
electronic, electric or electro-mechanical components. It can be used for installing,
e.g. wired components with two connections such as resistors, diodes or fuses.
The device is intended for installation in the enclosures with type of protection Increased
safety "e" for use in hazardous areas of Zones 1 and 2.

8 Commissioning
Before commissioning, ensure that:

Xthe device has been installed according to regulations
Xthere are no foreign bodies in the clamping area
Xall detachable connections have been tightened firmly
Xthe prescribed tightening torques have been observed
Xconnection has been made correctly.

The following details must be checked during maintenance:
- Cables are held securely in place
- Compliance with the permitted temperatures (according to IEC/EN 60079)
- Damage to the enclosure and seals
- All screws and nuts are held securely in place
