Before using your new Digital Ear thermometer, read this
instruction manual to avoid any malfunctions.
IMPORTANT
Put the probe inside of the ear, gently and carefully
Do not use the thermometer if the ear is inflamed
Do not use the thermometer if presents damages
Readings obtained by the ear may vary if you take temperatures
from the rectum, armpit or mouth. We recommend to take readings
when the temperature of the body is normal in order to have a
comparison chart if the patient has fever.
Do not use the thermometer to take temperatures inside of a
bathroom or a refrigerator
Use the thermometer only to take body temperatures
Use a damped cloth with water or a damped q-tip with alcohol to
clean the probe
Do not use solvents
Do not immerse the thermometer into the water
Do not bump
Do not dissemble
Do not leave under direct sun light
If you stored the thermometer in a cold place for several time, wait
from 5 to 10 minutes before using it

REPLACING THE BATTERY
A symbol will display in the screen when the batteries are almost
empty. Then, you must replace them with two new AAA alkaline
batteries.
To replace them, remove the screw from the battery compartment cover
and place new batteries, paying attention to polarity.
Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the appliance for a long
period of time.

HOW TO USE
1.- Remove the probe’s cover and clean it with a damped cloth with
water.
2.- Place a new filter into the probe, assuring an accurate reading.
3.- Press On / Recall button once, you will hear a beep indicating that is
ON and you will see in the screen the message 00. 0°C
4.- Put the tip of the probe inside of the ear gently and carefully (try to
put it as deeper as you can).
5.- Press and hold Scan button for one second, you will hear a beep
indicating the temperature was taken.
6.- The reading displays in the screen and it will be stored in memory.
The thermometer will power off automatically after a minute.
If you have a doubt about the last reading, make sure to clean the
ear, removing earwax. Also clean the probe and if it’s necessary
use other filter.

MEMORIES
The thermometer can store the last 10 measurements. To see them,
press On / Recall button continuously.
The message “ERR1” will display in the screen if the temperatures is
out of the 60,8°F – 95°F range.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and
materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1.- This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product
box or package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
2.- If the product stills on the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3.- The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4.- Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accesories to costumer, as well as
warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries,
failure to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized personnel, improper
safe keeping, among others.
a) The consumer can also claim the warranty service in the purchase establishment.
b) If you lose the warranty card, we can reissue it, if you show the invoice or purchase ticket.

IMPORTANTE
Inserte la sonda en el oído de forma suave y con cuidado
No utilice el termómetro si el oído está inflamado
No utilice el termómetro si éste se encuentra dañado
La temperatura obtenida a través del oído puede variar de la
lectura que se tome en la axila, la boca o el recto, por lo que se
recomienda tomar periódicamente varias mediciones cuando la
temperatura del cuerpo es normal y de esta manera podrá
comparar cuando se sospeche que tiene fiebre
Utilice el termómetro únicamente para medir la temperatura
corporal, no utilizarlo para medir la temperatura dentro de un baño
o un refrigerador ya que se dañará
Utilice un paño húmedo o un cotonete humedecido en alcohol para
su limpieza
No utilice solventes y no sumergir en agua
No lo golpee
No lo desensamble
No lo deje bajo la luz del sol directa
Si el termómetro estuvo almacenado en lugares de bajas
temperaturas, espere de 5 a 10 minutos antes de utilizarlo
No lo deje al alcance de los niños

REEMPLAZO DE LA BATERÍA
Cuando en la pantalla se muestre el símbolo deberá reemplazar
las baterías por dos pilas alcalinas nuevas AAA..
Para cambiar las pilas simplemente retire el tornillo de la tapa del
compartimiento de baterías, utilizando un desarmador de cruz y retire
las baterías sin energía.
Reemplace por dos baterías nuevas, poniendo atención a la polaridad.
En caso de que no vaya a utilizar el termómetro por un período de
tiempo prolongado, retire las baterías.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1.- Retire la cubierta protectora de la sonda y límpiela con un paño
suave y humedecido con agua.
2.- Coloque un protector nuevo en la sonda para asegurarse de tomar
una lectura más precisa.
3.- Presione el botón de Encendido / Memoria (on/recall) una vez,
escuchará un “bip” que indicará que el termómetro está encendido y se
leerá en la pantalla de LCD 00. 0°C.
4.- Coloque la punta de la sonda en el oído (haga todo lo posible por
colocarla lo más profundamente posible).
5.- Presione el botón de Medición (scan) durante un segundo,
escuchará un “bip” que indicará que la temperatura ha sido tomada.
6.- En la pantalla de LCD se mostrará la temperatura actual y se
guardará en memoria.
El termómetro de apagará automáticamente después de un minuto
que esté sin utilizarse.
Si tiene alguna duda acerca de la última medición, compruebe de
que no haya cerilla en el oído, y que la punta del sensor y el

MEMORIAS
El termómetro puede almacenar las últimas 10 mediciones. Para
acceder a ellas, presione el botón de Encendido / Memoria (on / recall)
continuamente.
La pantalla mostrará el aviso “ERR1” y no se visualizará ninguna
temperatura en la pantalla de LCD cuando la temperatura este fuera de
los rangos de temperatura 16°C-35°C

PÓLIZA DE GARANTÍA
Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todas sus partes y mano
de obra, contra cualquier defecto de fabricación y funcionamiento, a partir de la fecha de
entrega.
CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente ésta póliza y el producto, en donde fue
adquirido o en Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar
defectuoso sin ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán cubiertos
por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la
recepción del producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la
garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como
hacer válida esta garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas
posteriormente.
ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARA EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por
Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa
comercial donde adquirió el producto. Si la presente garantía se extraviara, el consumidor
puede recurrir a su
proveedor para que le expida otra póliza de garantía, previa presentación de la nota de
compra o factura respectiva.
