Before using your new Digital Voice Recorder please read this
instruction manual to prevent any damage. Put it away in a safe
place for future references.
IMPORTANT
Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not try to open the equipment, may cause malfunction.
Warranty is void if you open the case.
Do not use or store the device near wet places.
Check the batteries periodically.
When the equipment will not be used for a long time, remove the
batteries.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
This digital recorder uses a AAA battery, we recommend to use alkaline
batteries for a better performance.
1.- Press the eyelash in the compartment, then pull the cover out.
2.- Place a new AAA battery or with enough energy, paying attention to
polarity.
3.- Replace the battery compartment cover.

POWER ON / OFF THE DEVICE
To power the recorder on, press and hold Play / Pause / On
button 3 seconds. After this time, some information will be
displayed in the screen and the device will be ready to use.
The recorder will be automatically shut off after three minutes
without activity.

RECORDING
1.- Press and hold Play button 3 seconds to power on the device.
2.- Place the recorder near desired sound source and press Record
button.
3.- Number of message, elapsed time and REC word will display in the
screen.
4.- If you want to make a pause, press REC / PAUSE once, the word
REC will ash. To resume the record, press Rec / Pause once again.
5.- Press Stop to nalize the recording.
If you don’t press any button for 3 minutes, the device will power
off automatically
If you want to know the remained recording time, press and hold
Forward 3 seconds
Use the earphones for monitoring
Volume control is not available to use while recording
You can record up to 99 les per folder
If word FULL displays in the screen, the recording will stop
automatically
If you record a sound less than 2 seconds, no le will be generated
You can connect an external microphone to improve the recording
quality (microphone is included in the package)
RECORDING MODE
This option allows you to select a recording quality.
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds.

2.- In Main Menu, press Menu once again until you see the word Mode.
3.- Use Forward / Backward to select the desired quality: High Quality
(HQ), Standard Quality (SP) or Low Quality (LP).
4.- Finally, press and hold Menu 3 seconds to leave this mode and store
the changes.
To get a better quality sound, use HQ mode.
To change recording mode, you must be in Stand By Mode.
VOICE OPERATED RECORDING SYSTEM
If whilst you are recording there are not strong enough sounds, then the
recorder will make a pause, if the sound level returns to normality or is
stronger than before, the recording will continue. This helps to maximize
the recording time.
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds.
2.- In Main Menu, press Menu until VOS word displays in the screen.
3.- Use Forward / Backward to select the desired option: On or Off.
4.- Finally, press and hold Menu 3 seconds to stores the changes and
leave this menu.
SELECTING FOLDER
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds.
2.- In Main Menu, press Menu until FOLD word displays in the screen.
3.- Use Forward / Backward to select a folder: A or B.
4.- Finally, press and hold Menu 3 seconds to stores the changes and
leave this menu.

Up to 99 les can be stored per folder
PLAYING FILES
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds to power on the device.
2.- Use Forward / Backward to select a le.
3.- Press Play to playback a le. Elapsed time and PLAY word displays
in the screen.
4.- If you want to make a pause, press Play once, PLAY word ashes.
5.- To resume the playback, press Play once again.
6.- Press Stop to stop the play or wait until the le ends.
Whilst playing a le, press and hold Forward / Backward 3 seconds
to performs a fast search.
If you want to know the recorded time of a le, select it and press
Menu once.
DELETING FILES
If you want to delete a le:
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds.
2.- In Main Menu, select the desired folder (please, refers to Selecting
Folder section).
3.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds to returns Stand By mode.
4.- Select the le to delete.
5.- Press and hold Stop button 3 seconds, then the le will be played
and ERASE word ashes.
6.- Press Stop once to conrm the deletion.

7.- If you don’t want to delete the le, press any button but Stop.
If you want to delete a folder:
1.- Press and hold Menu 3 seconds.
2.- In Main Menu, select the desired folder to delete: A or B.
3.- When the desired folder to delete is ashing, press and hold Stop
button 2 seconds.
4.- ALL and ERASE will display in the screen.
5.- Press Stop once to conrm the deletion.
6.- If you don’t want to delete the folder, press any button but Stop.
FILE INTRODUCTION
If you want to listen the rst 5 seconds of each recorded le, press and
hold Play 3 seconds.
If you want to play a full message, press Play once before the rst 5
seconds end.

During installation, make sure the device is off
If you record from an external device, place the volume controls in a
medium level.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and
materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1.- This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product
box or package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
2.- If the product stills on the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3.- The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4.- Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accesories to costumer, as well as
warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries,
failure to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized personnel, improper
safe keeping, among others.
a) The consumer can also claim the warranty service in the purchase establishment.
b) If you lose the warranty card, we can reissue it, if you show the invoice or purchase ticket.
