Standard notes
The Ergometer SFE-09 was solely designed
for home use. The maximum weight is 130kg.
You are using a device that is constructed
with the newest safety standards. In order to
avoid injuries or accidents please read the
following safety instruction carefully.
Before using the Ergometer please read the
manual.
Do not start with the work-out before the
Ergometer is fully assembled and properly
checked.
Check if all the screws are fastened tightly,
especially of the stem and the handlebar. The
Saddle tube has a marking for the maximum
height. Never pull the saddle tub past the
marking -MAX-.
You should do this check-up every 1-2 month.
Change damaged parts immediately and do
not use the Ergometer until it is repaired.
Keep children off the Ergometer and do not
have them play nearby when you work out.
Always place the Ergometer on solid ground.
Before working out you should get a complete
check-up by your doctor in order to find out
which work-out suits you best. Ask the doctor
to clarify your maximum pulse.
Do not work out directly before or after having
a meal. In case you do not feel well during the
workout, stop immediately and turn to a doctor.
Always wear sport clothes and adequate shoes.

General
Guideline for endurance training
The maximum pulse for endurance training
depends on the age. It can be calculated using
the following formula.
220 pulse beats minus the age equals the
maximum pulse.
220 - age = maximum pulse
The pulse for Cardio training should be 75%
of the maximum pulse
For fatburning the maximum pulse should be
60-70%. Beginners should start with 50-60%.

Height adjustment of the handle bar
Loose the screw at the top until the handle bar
can be turned. It might be necessary that you
have to turn the handle bar right and left side to
loosen the clamp.
Adjust the height pay attention to the max. height
which is marked at the tube.
Tighten the screw very well.
Loose the screw at the right side until the toothed
ring snaps outside on both sides.
After adjustment tighten the screw again very well.

Tighten the lower screw with the allen wrench key
very well. Pay attention that the handle bar is
aligned straight. The wrench has to be turned
clockwise. By tightening the screw the clamp piece
inside the tube will be straddled.
Attention: Tighten only the lower screw.
The STIL-FIT ergometer is nearly fully assembled. You
only have to tighten one screw at the front post and
assemble the seat post to the frame.
Your personal fine tuning you can do very easily as
shown on the follwing pages.

Assembling of tranportation wheels
The transportation wheels can be mounted
optional.
Remove the pin at the socket before you use the
ergometer. The pin is used to avoid discharging the
battery while transportation.
In case the screen will turn off when pedaling is stopped,
recharge the battery with the charger for 8 hours.
The Ergometer has a built-in generator and a back-up
battery. Therefore no external power-supply is necessary.
If you should not be using the Ergometer for a longer
period of time the battery might be discharged. Please
use the enclosed power supply in order to recharge the
battery. You will find the socket at the rearside of the
housing.

After recharging the battery remove the power supply.
This is necessary in order to ensure that the system
works correctly!

In order to move the Ergometer around, grip
the handle bar and the saddle, and tilt the
Ergometer backwards. You can step on the
rear foot while tilting the Ergometer. It is then
easily moved around.
Please note: you can only move the unit
like this when the transportwheels are
mounted!

Adjustment of the quick release
Adjustment of the saddle
The quick release should be fastened so that the
saddle cannot be turned. In the fixed position the
lever points to the front. To adjust the quick release,
open the lever and tighten the allen screw until
the desired result is achieved.
The saddle can be adjusted horizontally and
anglewise. To adjust the saddle, loose the screw
at the bottom. Now you can slide the saddle
forward- and backwards.
To adjust the angle you might need to loosen the
screw a bit more to open the clamp piece. Fix the
saddle at the desired position and tighten the screw
again very strong.
Attention: The saddle tube has a mark -max- This
indicates the maximum possible height of the
saddle.

Adjustment of the hand grips
The grips from ERGON are angle adjustable.
Loose the screw and turn the grip in the desired
position.
After adjustment the screw has to be tightened
properly.
Adjustment of the foot
The STIL-FIT ergometer comes with four
adjustable feet. In the beginnning all feet should
be in the closest position.
Check where the foot is not touching the floor and
unscrew it until the unit is stable.
Afterwards lock the screw with the curled nut.

Key functions

The Ergometer SFE-09 offers 9 different
training programs. Besides the standard
program Manual there is a pulse-controlled
Cardio Program, a special Fatburner Program,
Watt Constant and 5 more preset programs.
MANUAL
The training level can be selected from 1-24.
If you do not preset a time for your workout
the time runs from 0 to 100 minutes.
BEGINNER 1
The program lasts 20 minutes
Level 6-10
BEGINNER 2
The program lasts 30 minutes
Level 6-12
ADVANCED 1
The program lasts 20 minutes
Level 7-14
ADVANCED 2
The pro gram lasts 30 minutes
Level 8-16
SPORTIVE
The program lasts 40 minutes

CARDIO
At the Cardio program the training level is
adjusted according to your pulse rate. Enter
your age and the Computer calculates your
ideal pulse rate. This is 75% of your maximum
pulse. If desired you can change this merit
using the arrow keys. Then choose the time
for your workout.
Trainingscomputer
The Ergometer SFE-09 can be used without
external power supply. The necessary energy
is produced by the Ergometer itself. The
computer is activated automatically with the
first pedaling action.
If there is no pedaling action for 1,5 minutes
the computer turns off automatically.

The pulse for the programs CARDIO and
FATBURNER is measured by the hand sensors
or by the POLAR chest belt, which is included
in the scope of delivery. Before using the chest
belt, please note the instructions on the
package. When using the chest belt the hand
sensors are deactivated automatically.
FATBURNER
This program lasts 60 minutes and you will
work out with a pulse rate of 130.
WATT CONSTANT
The resistance can be set in steps of 5 Watt.
Time can be preset.
To keep the resistance on a constant level
pedaling should be 60 RPM. The resistance
is increasing when pedaling is slower and
decreasing when pedaling is faster.

The program lasts 20 minutes. The training level is preset
between 6 and 12. To begin with the workout press Start.
The training level can be changed anytime using the
arrow keys

The program lasts 30 minutes. The training level is preset
between 7 and 14. To begin with the workout press Start.
The training level can be changed anytime using the
arrow keys
4. ADVANCED 1
The program lasts 20 minutes. The training level is preset
between 8 and 16. To begin with the workout press Start.
The training level can be changed anytime using the
arrow keys

The first screen is SELECT PROGRAM. Using the arrow
keys you can choose between the eight programs. To
select a program press Enter. To start the program press
Start.
1. MANUAL
The program has 24 different training levels. By pressing
Enter and Start you can begin the workout immediately.
The time counts as long as you are working out.
Alternatively you can also preset a time for your workout
using the arrow keys. You can choose between 1 to 99
minutes. Confirm your selection by pressing Enter. By
pressing Start you start the Countdown and begin with
the workout.

The Fatburner program regulates the training level
according to your pulse and lasts 60min.The training
level is regulated with the maximum pulse of 130.

8. FATBURNER
8. WATT CONSTANT
The resistance can be set in steps of 5 watt. Pedaling should be done by 60 RPM
The resistance is increasing when pedaling is slower and decreasing when pedaling is
faster. The time of training can be set in advance.
7. CARDIO
The Cardio program regulates the training level according
to your pulse. After you entered your age the
recommended pulse appears on the display (220 - age
x 0,75). If desired the pulse can be changed manually.
Then press Enter and Start.

The program lasts 40 minutes. The training level is preset

Start. The training level can be changed anytime using
the arrow keys

of three years. You only need to register your

number of your Ergometer.
The guarantee covers material and fabrication
defects. Damages resulting from inadequate
handling, non-observance of the manual,

normal wear and tear are not covered by the
guarantee.
