Overview of the Connected OR Cart 230V
The Connected OR Cart is a mobile, medical-grade cart designed to accommodate a combination of Stryker
Advanced Imaging Modality (AIM) System, PINPOINT Endoscopic Fluorescence Imaging System, or SPY Portable
Handheld Imaging (SPY-PHI) System components. The cart is intended to be used during or between surgical
or clinical procedures. The Connected OR Cart provides adjustable shelves, an articulated monitor arm, lockable
steering wheels, handles for transporting and positioning, isolated electrical power, a central power switch, an external
I/O panel for network or video connections, and holders for accessories such as CO2tanks, imaging heads, and foot
switches.

Intended Use
The Cart is intended to store and transport components of minimally invasive and open-eld imaging systems such as
the Stryker Advanced Imaging Modality (AIM) System, PINPOINT Endoscopic Fluorescence Imaging System, or SPY
Portable Handheld Imaging (SPY-PHI) System) during intraoperative use. The Cart also provides power, video, and
data connections to the components.
The Cart should be operated only by qualied personnel such as surgeons and clinic support staff.
There are no known contraindications for the Connected OR Cart.

Caution Indicates risks to the equipment. Failure to follow cautions may result in product damage.

Cautions
To avoid potential damage to this device, please note the following cautions:
1. Only Stryker-approved components and accessories may be used with the Connected OR Cart.
2. Ensure the cart is in transport position before moving it.
3. Ensure that modications and/or repairs are carried out by persons authorized by Stryker.
Warnings
To avoid potential serious injury to the user and the patient and/or damage to this device, please note the following
general warnings.
1. Read these Instructions for Use thoroughly, especially the warnings, and be familiar with its contents before
using the cart.
2. Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
3. To avoid the risk of electric shock, only connect equipment explicitly specied and approved by Stryker to the
multiple-socket outlet (power outlets) on the Connected OR Cart.
4. To avoid the risk of electric shock, this equipment must only be connected to supply mains with protective
earth.
5. Do not position the cart so that it is difcult to disconnect the power cord from supply mains.
6. Do not connect additional multiple-socket outlets or extension cords to the system.
7. The Connected OR Mount (monitor arm) may have pinch points: keep hands clear.
8. Failure to properly adjust the Connected OR Mount could result in equipment damage or injury.
9. No modication of this equipment is permitted. Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the
manufacturer. If this equipment is modied, appropriate inspection and testing must be conducted to ensure
continued safe use of the equipment.
10. Use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those specied or provided by the manufacturer of this
equipment could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity of this
equipment and result in improper operation.

Using the Cart
The Connected OR Cart can be moved to the desired location and positioned by one person. The Connected OR
Mount articulated monitor arm enables the monitor to be positioned in the optimal viewing position. Once in position,
the cart can be powered on using the central power button and connected to additional devices using the I/O panel.
Putting the Cart into Transport Position
Before moving the cart, ensure it is in transport position.
To put the cart into transport position:
1. Rotate the monitor 90 degrees to the right side of
the cart.
2. Lower the monitor on the arm.
3. Hook the monitor stow handle in the stow bracket.
Moving the Cart
To move the cart:
1. Disconnect the cart from supply mains and secure the power cord to the cord hooks on the rear door. Ensure
any network or video cables are disconnected from the external I/O panel on the rear of the cart.
2. Ensure that any external components, such as imaging heads, are disconnected.
3. Release the brakes on all four wheels by lifting the foot lever on each wheel.
4. Push the cart from the rear using the transporting handles (rear-facing handles).
5. Move the cart into position, taking care not to block access to supply
mains.
6. When the cart is in its nal position, lock all four wheels by pushing the foot
levers down.
7. Release the monitor from the stow bracket by pushing the monitor down
and away from the cart.
8. Using the monitor positioning handles, position the monitor for optimal
viewing.

The monitor arm can be moved to the other side of the cart by releasing the rotation lock. Turn the rotation lock knob
on the lateral section of the arm counterclockwise to release the arm.

Powering the Cart On
To power the Connected OR Cart on:
1. Connect the power cord to supply mains with protective earth.
2. On the front of the cart, in the top-left corner, push the power button.
The power button illuminates, and power is supplied to any consoles or accessories installed on the cart.
Powering the Cart Off
To power the Connected OR Cart off:
1. On the front of the cart, in the top-left corner, push the power button.
The power button illumination turns off and power to the consoles installed on the cart is disconnected.
2. Disconnect the power cord from supply mains.
Using the I/O Panel
An I/O panel on the rear of the cart provides the following connections:
• HDMI
• USB
• DVI
• Ethernet (RJ45)
