SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the
product. When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons including the following:
• This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface. If provided,
use handles when moving this appliance. Keep combustible materials -- such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, etc. -- at least 3 feet away from the front of the appliance.
Keep all items away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children or invalids and
whenever the appliance is left operating and unattended.
• Always unplug appliance when not in use.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This appliance is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.
Never locate appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover the power cord with throw rugs, runners,
or similar oor coverings. Arrange cord away from trafc area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls “OFF”, then remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
• Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause
an electric shock or re, or damage the appliance.
• To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhausts in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• All electrical appliances have hot and arching or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint or ammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord as it may overheat and cause a risk of re. However, if an
extension cord MUST be used, the cord must be No. 14AWG minimum size and rated no less than
1,875 watts. The extension cord must be a 3-prong cord with grounding type plug and cord
connection and should not exceed 20 feet in length.
• When transporting or storing the appliance, take care to keep both the unit and power cord/plug dry,
free from excessive vibration and away from heat sources.
• Do not attempt to burn wood or other materials in this appliance.
• This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with the current CSA
C22.1 Canadian Electrical codes, or, for USA installations, follow local codes and the National
Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA NO.70.
• This unit should be operated under supervision and should not be left on without supervision.
• It is strongly recommended to use an entire 15-amp outlet for the electric replace only.
• Sharing the outlet with another electronic item could create overload and damage the outlet and
electric items in the long term.

CAUTION
Two people are required to lift this item. It is heavy and will break if dropped.
WARNING
• Do not fully tighten the bolts on the assembly until mantel is completed. Positioning of the mantel
pieces during assembly will be easier if there is some exibility between the different pieces. Tighten
all bolts after the assembly is complete and before the insert is set inside.
• Do not use this replace in wet or moist locations.
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or damage to persons, disconnect and unplug the power
cord and let cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting any maintenance, cleaning or service for
the electric insert. Only a qualied professional should attempt to service or repair the appliance.
• Any use of this appliance other than recommended by the manufacturer in this owners manual may
cause re, burns, electric shock and/or other serious injuries or death.
• Do not dispose of batteries of remote control in re. Improper disposal may cause batteries to leak
or explode.
• The preassembled battery in the remote control is not rechargeable; do not recharge the battery.
• Remove the batteries from remote control once they have expired.
• Be sure to insert the battery with the correct polarity.
• Do not ingest the battery; keep the battery away from babies and children.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not
attempt to assemble the product.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. From backside of bottom frame (B), attach top rail
(I) to both sides inside bottom frame (B) using Allen
bolts (AA), spring washers (BB) and flat washers
(CC). Tighten with Allen wrench (DD), but do not
overtighten.
2. Attach side rails (J) to the bottom inside of bottom
frame (B) and to the preassembled pegs on each
side of top rail (I) using Allen bolts (AA), spring
washers (BB) and flat washers (CC). Tighten with
Allen wrench (DD), but do not overtighten.

3. Secure side rails (J) to the front of bottom frame (B)
with screws (HH). Tighten with Phillips screwdriver
(not included).

4. Insert wood dowels (EE) onto the top of bottom
frame (B). Attach left frame (C) to bottom frame (B)
using Allen bolts (AA), spring washers (BB) and at
washers (CC). Tighten with Allen wrench (DD), but
do not overtighten.
Repeat for right frame (D).

5. Insert wood dowels (EE) into left frame (C) and
right frame (D). Line up holes on top frame (A)
with wood dowels (EE) and set top frame (A) over
left frame (C) and right frame (D). Secure from
underneath with Allen bolts (AA), spring washers (BB)
and flat washers (CC). Tighten with Allen wrench
(DD), but do not overtighten.
WARNING: Be mindful of your ngers when placing
top frame (A) to ensure you avoid any possible injury.

6. Hold removable front panel (E) in front of the
assembly. Take out the preassembled chains from
left inside and right inside of media opening, then
hook to the brackets on back of removable front
panel (E).

7. Insert the removable front panel (E) into open shelf
of assembly. 7

8. From backside of mantel assembly, attach back
panel (F) with round-head screws (FF). Tighten with
Phillips screwdriver.
Note: Now the mantel assembly is complete; please
go back and make sure all connections are secure.

9. Still from the backside of assembly, insert the
electric insert (M) into the opening.
Move the preassembled brackets (K) on side rails
(J) along the strip hole of brackets (K) to secure
electric insert (M), tightening preassembled screws
in the strip holes with a Phillips screwdriver. Then,
insert bracket screws (GG) through the round hole of
bracket (K).
10. Still from the backside of the assembly, insert
wood dowel (EE) into bottom frame (B). Attach corner
support (H) to bottom frame (B) using Allen bolts (AA),
spring washers (BB) and at washers (CC). Tighten
with Allen wrench (DD), but do not overtighten.

11. Insert wood dowels (EE) into corner support (H).
Attach corner panel (G) to corner support (H) and top
frame (A) using Allen bolts (AA), spring washers (BB)
and flat washers (CC). Tighten securely with Allen
wrench (DD).

1. Ensure all controls are in the “OFF” position before
plugging the appliance into a properly grounded
electrical outlet. This appliance is for use on 120 volts.
The appliance has a 3-prong grounded plug. If your
electrical outlet has only 2 slots, you will have to use
an adapter to convert from the 3-prong power cord to a
2-slot receptacle. The green grounding plug extending
from the adapter must be securely connected to a
permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet
box. The adapter should only be used if a proper 3-slot
receptacle is not available.
CAUTION: Adapters are not allowed for use in Canada.
2. A 15-amp circuit is required to operate this appliance.
If the breaker trips when the appliance is running, you
may need to move the appliance to another location or
unplug other appliances that are on the same circuit.
This appliance can be only plugged into a 3-prong wall
socket and should be plugged directly into the wall with
nothing else in that wall socket.
The fireplace control functions can be accessed in
two ways: 1. Using the control panel, located behind
the cover at the upper right-hand corner of the electric
insert (M); press to open the cover. 2. Using the remote
control (N).

3b. Flame: Press to activate the flame function. This
button controls the brightness of flame and ember
effect. When the fireplace is first turned on, the flame
will come on at the highest setting; keep pressing to
adjust the brightness of flame. There are 6 levels you
can cycle through, including the OFF setting (the ember
remains on). When adjusting the flame brightness,
the display lights below button correspond to its 5
brightness levels.
3c. Heater: Press to activate the heater function. When
the fireplace is first turned on, the temperature will
come on at the highest setting; press second time
to activate low heat setting, and press third time to
activate auto heat setting. When adjusting the heat
setting, the display lights below button correspond to its
3 levels.

3d. Temperature setting control: Use rotary switch to
set desired temperature. When the room temperature
is lower than the set temperature by less than 6 degree
Fahrenheit, repalce will start only one heat generator,
this is same as low heat setting (750W); When the
room temperature is lower than the set temperature
by 6 degree Fahrenheit or greater, fireplace will start
both heat generators, this is same as high heat setting
(1500W); When the room temperature is higher than
the set temperature, repalce will shut down both heat
generators.
Note: Set temperature button can only be used when in
auto mode.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Keep the replace in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity changes
can cause warping, shrinking and/or splitting of wood.
• Use a clean dry cloth to clean the replace.
• Clean metal surfaces of electric insert with a clean damp cloth making sure not to push dust or
debris into any air intake or exhaust vents.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on any part of the appliance.
• Periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/heater unit is strongly recommended to ensure that no dirt
or foreign objects build up.
• Battery Replacement: Use one lithium coin cell battery (size CR2025) for the remote control.
• Use the touch-up pen (II) to repair minor scratches and damages on mantel.

4. Remote control: Buttons on the remote control (N)
have the same functions as those on the control panel.
The remote control (N) comes preassembled with a
correct battery, but you must remove the insulation
plastic lm form the battery before operation.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITE
Assurez-vous de lire et de comprendre l’intégralité du présent manuel avant de tenter d’assembler,
d’utiliser ou d’installer l’article. Lorsque vous utilisez un appareil électrique, respectez les mesures
de sécurité élémentaires suivantes an de réduire les risques d’incendie, de choc électrique et de
blessure:
• Cet appareil est chaud lorsqu’il est en fonction. An de prévenir les brûlures, ne laissez pas la peau
nue entrer en contact avec la surface chaude. Si l’appareil est muni de poignées, utilisez-les pour
le déplacer. Assurez-vous que les matières combustibles, comme les meubles, les oreillers, la
literie, le papier, les vêtements et les rideaux, se trouvent à au moins 0,91 m de l’avant de l’appareil.
