SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the
product. When using electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons including the following:
• This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface. If provided,
use handles when moving this appliance. Keep combustible materials -- such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes and curtains, etc. -- at least 3 feet away from the front of the appliance.
Keep all items away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children or invalids and
whenever the appliance is left operating and unattended.
• Always unplug appliance when not in use.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This appliance is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.
Never locate appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover the power cord with throw rugs, runners or similar

• To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls “OFF”, then remove the plug from the electrical outlet.

• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause
an electric shock or re, or damage the appliance.
• To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhausts in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• All electrical appliances have hot and arching or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint or ammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord as it may overheat and cause a risk of re. However, if an
extension cord MUST be used, the cord must be No. 14AWG minimum size and rated not less than
1875 watts. The extension cord must be a 3-prong cord with grounding type plug and cord
connection and should not exceed 20 feet in length.
• When transporting or storing the appliance, take care to keep both the unit and power cord/plug dry,
free from excessive vibration and away from heat sources.
• Do not attempt to burn wood or other materials in this appliance.
• This appliance, when installed must be electrically grounded in accordance with the current CSA
C22.1 Canadian Electrical codes or for USA installations, follow local codes and the National
Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA NO.70.
• This unit should be operate under supervision and should not be left on without supervision.
• It is strongly recommended that to use the entire 15 amp outlet for the electric replace only.
• Sharing the outlet with another electronic item could create overload and damage the outlet and
electric items in the long term.

CAUTION
Two people are required to lift this item. It is heavy and will break if dropped.
WARNING
• Do not fully tighten the bolts on the assembly until mantel is completed. Positioning of the mantel
pieces during assembly will be easier if there is some exibility between the different pieces. Tighten
all bolts after the assembly is complete and before the insert is set inside.
• Do not use this replace in wet or moist locations.
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or injury to persons, disconnect and unplug the power
cord and let cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting any maintenance, cleaning or service for
the electric insert. Only a qualied professional should attempt to service or repair the appliance.
• Do not dispose of batteries of remote control in re. Improper disposal may cause batteries to leak
or explode.
• The preassembled battery in the remote control is not rechargeable; do not recharge the battery.
• Remove the batteries from remote control once they have expired.
• Be sure to insert the battery with the correct polarity.
• Do not ingest the battery; keep the battery away from babies and children.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not
attempt to assemble the product.

Warning: Changes or modications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates,
uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one
or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

1. Insert wood dowels (AA) into bottom frame (A).
Line up holes on one bottom side panel (D) with
wood dowels (AA) and attach to bottom frame
(A) using short cross bolts (BB), spring washers
(EE) and flat washers (FF). Tighten with Phillips
screwdriver (not included), but do not overtighten.
Repeat for the other bottom side panel (D), left
middle panel (B) and right middle panel (C), making
sure the nished side is facing forward.
2. Insert wood dowel (AA) into hole on left middle
panel (B) and right middle panel (C). Then, attach
front molding (E) to left middle panel (B) and right
middle panel (C) with long screws (HH). Tighten with
Phillips screwdriver.

4. Insert wood dowels (AA) into left middle panel
(B), right middle panel (C) and bottom side panels
(D). Line up holes on shelf (G) with wood dowels
(AA) and attach to left middle panel (B) and right
middle panel (C) from underneath using short cross
bolts (BB), spring washers (EE) and flat washers
(FF). Tighten with Phillips screwdriver, but do not
overtighten.
3. Insert one back panel (F) down along the groove
of bottom side panel (D) and left middle panel (B)
and the other back panel (F) down along the groove
of bottom side panel (D) and right middle panel (C).

6. Set top frame (J) over top left panel (H), support
(S) and top right panel (I). Secure to panels from
underneath with medium cross bolts (CC), spring
washer (EE) and flat washers (FF). Secure support
with short cross bolt (BB), spring washer (EE) and
at washer (FF). Tighten all connections with Phillips
screwdriver, but do not overtighten.
WARNING: When setting down the top frame, be
careful not to put your nger between the top frame
and side panels.

5. Insert wood dowels (AA) into each side of shelf (G).
Line up holes on top right panel (I) and top left panel
(H) with wood dowels (AA) and attach to bottom
side panels (D) through shelf (G) using long cross
bolts (DD), spring washers (EE) and flat washers
(FF). And insert wood dowels (AA) into the middle
of shelf (G). Line up holes on support (S) with wood
dowels (AA) and attach to the middle of shelf (G)
using short cross bolt (BB), spring washer (EE) and
at washer (FF). Tighten all connections with Phillips
screwdriver, but do not overtighten.

7. Open the preassembled hinges (R) on bottom
side panels (D) and attach doors (K) to assembly
with short screws (II). Tighten securely with Phillips
screwdriver.
WARNING: Be mindful of your fingers/hand when
opening.
8. Insert knob bolts (KK) through backside of doors
(K) and attach knob (JJ). Tighten knob bolt (KK) with
Phillips screwdriver to secure knob (JJ).
As desired, insert adjustable shelves (L) in one of the
potential positions in the cabinets of the mantel.

10. Still from the backside of the assembly, and with
the assistance of another person, insert the electric
insert (N) into the opening. Then, attach back rail (Q)
to shelf (G) and bottom frame (A) using short cross
bolts (BB), spring washers (EE) and at washers (FF).
Tighten with Phillips screwdriver.

11. With help from another person, move the
item to the desired final location, then adjust the
preassembled levelers (O) with Allen wrench (GG)
as needed to level the unit.
Assembly is now complete.

1. Ensure all controls are in the “OFF” position before
plugging the appliance into a properly grounded
electrical outlet. This appliance is for use on 120 volts.
The appliance has a 3-prong grounded plug. If your
electrical outlet has only 2 slots, you will have to use
an adapter to convert from the 3-prong power cord to a
2-slot receptacle. The green grounding plug extending
from the adapter must be securely connected to a
permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet
box. The adapter should only be used if a proper 3-slot
receptacle is not available.
Note: Adapters are not allowed for use in Canada.
2. A-15-amp circuit is required to operate this appliance.
If the breaker trips when the appliance is running, you
may need to move the appliance to another location or
unplug other appliances that are on the same circuit.
The replace control functions can be accessed in two
ways: Using the control panel, located in the upper
right-hand corner of the electric insert (N), or using the
remote control (P).
3. If you press any button (except POWER) on the
control panel or on the remote control (P), the display
screen will flip down and display all the functions of
the electric insert (N) within 3 seconds. Without further
operation, the display screen will automatically ip back
up after 20 seconds.

4. Power: Push button to turn on or turn off. If OFF,
heater will be restored at the next power ON.
Note: Unplugging the unit will reset all functions.
5. Flame: Press to activate the ame function. This
button controls the brightness of ame and ember
effect. When the replace is rst turned on, the ame
will come on at the highest setting; press DOWN or UP
button to adjust the brightness of ame. There are 6
levels you can cycle through, including the OFF setting
(the ember remains on). When adjusting the ame
brightness with UP and DOWN button, the number of
the ame level bars corresponds to the 5 brightness
levels. When this feature is on, display screen FLAME
icon is on also.

6. Heater: Press to activate the heater function. The
system will start the temperature setting at 95°F.
There are 7 adjustable heat levels, ranging from 65°F
to 95°F. Press the DOWN or UP button to adjust the
levels, noting each level increases or decreases the
temperature by 5°F. When this feature is on, display
screen HEATER icon is on also. And when this feature
is off, the inner blower will continue to run for additional
1 minutes to cool down the unit in order to protect the
heating elements before the unit completely shuts off.
Note: You can switch the temperature display from
Fahrenheit to Celsius by pressing and holding the
HEATER button on control panel for approximately 6
seconds. Without any adjustments after approximately
6 seconds, the display screen will show the room
temperature.

7. Timer: Press once to activate. Press UP and DOWN
button to adjust the timer. The choices are between 0.5H
to 8H with 0.5H interval. Once the timer is on and the
desired setting is reached, the system will shut down.
8. Child Lock: Press and hold the button for 6 seconds
to activate the function. When the CHILD LOCK is on,
all the other features are disabled. Press and hold the
button again for 6 seconds to unlock the function.

9. Down: Use to turn down the heat, brightness of
ame or timer. When FLAME / HEATER / TIMER is not
activated, this button will not work.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Keep the replace in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity changes
can cause warping, shrinking and/or splitting of wood.
• Use a clean dry cloth to clean the replace.
• Clean metal surfaces of electric insert with a clean damp cloth, making sure not to push dust or
debris into any air intake or exhaust vents.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on any part of the appliance.
• Periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/heater unit is strongly recommended to ensure that no dirt
or foreign objects build up.
• Battery Replacement: Use one lithium coin cell battery (size CR2025) for the remote control.
• Use the touch-up pen (LL) to repair minor scratches and damages on mantel.

10. Up: Use to turn up the heat, brightness of ame
or timer. When FLAME / HEATER / TIMER is not
activated, this button will not work.
11. Buttons on the remote control (P) have the same
functions as those on the control panel except Heater
and Child Lock.
Heater: On the remote control (P) can perform all the
same functions as stated on page 12 for the control
panel EXCEPT it cannot switch the temperature display
from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
Child Lock: On the remote control (P), pressing this
button immediately activates or deactivates this feature.
CAUTION: The remote control (P) comes preassembled
with a correct battery, but you must remove the plastic
lm from the battery before operation.
