SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the
product. When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons including the following:
• This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface. If provided,
use handles when moving this appliance. Keep combustible materials -- such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, etc. -- at least 3 feet away from the front of the appliance.
Keep all items away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children or invalids and
whenever the appliance is left operating and unattended.
• Always unplug appliance when not in use.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This appliance is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.
Never locate appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover the power cord with throw rugs, runners,
or similar oor coverings. Arrange cord away from trafc area and where it will not be tripped over.
• To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls “OFF”, then remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
• Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings as this may cause
an electric shock or re, or damage the appliance.
• To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhausts in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• All electrical appliances have hot and arching or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint or ammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord as it may overheat and cause a risk of re. However, if an
extension cord MUST be used, the cord must be No. 14AWG minimum size and rated no less than
1,875 watts. The extension cord must be a 3-prong cord with grounding type plug and cord
connection and should not exceed 20 feet in length.
• When transporting or storing the appliance, take care to keep both the unit and power cord/plug dry,
free from excessive vibration and away from heat sources.
• Do not attempt to burn wood or other materials in this appliance.
• This appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded in accordance with the current CSA
C22.1 Canadian Electrical codes, or, for USA installations, follow local codes and the National
Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA NO.70.
• This unit should be operated under supervision and should not be left on without supervision.
• It is strongly recommended to use an entire 15-amp outlet for the electric replace only.
• Sharing the outlet with another electronic item could create overload and damage the outlet and
electric items in the long term.

CAUTION
Two people are required to lift this item. It is heavy and will break if dropped.
WARNING
• Do not fully tighten the bolts on the assembly until mantel is completed. Positioning of the mantel
pieces during assembly will be easier if there is some exibility between the different pieces. Tighten
all bolts after the assembly is complete and before the insert is set inside.
• Do not use this replace in wet or moist locations.
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or damage to persons, disconnect and unplug the power
cord and let cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting any maintenance, cleaning or service for
the electric insert. Only a qualied professional should attempt to service or repair the appliance.
• Any use of this appliance other than recommended by the manufacturer in this owners manual may
cause re, burns, electric shock and/or other serious injuries or death.
• Do not dispose of batteries of remote control in re. Improper disposal may cause batteries to leak
or explode.
• The preassembled battery in the remote control is not rechargeable; do not recharge the battery.
• Remove the batteries from remote control once they have expired.
• Be sure to insert the battery with the correct polarity.
• Do not ingest the battery; keep the battery away from babies and children.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not
attempt to assemble the product.

1. Turn over left middle panel (E), right middle panel
(F) and shelf (C). Attach left middle panel (E) and
right middle panel (F) to shelf (C) using short Allen
bolts (BB), spring washers (CC) and flat washers
(DD). Tighten with Allen wrench (EE), but do not
overtighten.
2. Insert wood dowels (AA) into bottom frame (D).
Line up holes on left middle panel (E) and right
middle panel (F) with wood dowels (AA) and attach
to bottom frame (D) using short Allen bolts (BB),
spring washers (CC) and at washers (DD). Tighten
with Allen wrench (EE), but do not overtighten.

3. Insert wood dowels (AA) into bottom frame (D).
Line up holes on left side panel (H) and right side
panel (I) with wood dowels (AA) and attach to
bottom frame (D) using short Allen bolts (BB), spring
washers (CC) and flat washers (DD). Tighten with
Allen wrench (EE), but do not overtighten.
4. Insert one side back panel (G) down along the
groove of left side panel (H) and left middle panel (E)
and the other side back panel (G) down along the
groove of right side panel (I) and right middle panel
(F). Then insert center back panel (B) down along
the groove of left middle panel (E) and right middle
panel (F).

5. Set top frame (A) gently on top of the assembly.
Secure top frame (A) to left middle panel (E) and
right middle panel (F) from underneath using short
Allen bolts (BB), spring washers (CC) and flat
washers (DD). Secure top frame (A) to left side panel
(H) and right side panel (I) from underneath using
long Allen bolts (JJ), spring washers (CC) and flat
washers (DD). Tighten with Allen wrench (EE), but do
not overtighten.
WARNING: When setting the top frame, please be
careful not to put your nger between the top frame
and side panels.

6. Open the preassembled hinges on right side panel
(I) and attach door (K) with screws (FF). Tighten
securely with Phillips screwdriver (not included).
Repeat for the left side panel (H).
WARNING: Be mindful of your hand/fingers during
this step to avoid personal injury.

7. Insert knob bolts (HH) through backside of doors
(K), then attach knobs (GG). Tighten with Phillips
screwdriver.
Insert adjustable shelves (J) into desired locations in
cabinets of mantel.

10. With the help from another person, adjust the
preassembled levelers (O) as needed to level the
mantel.

9. Attach back rail (L) to shelf (C) and bottom frame
(D) using short Allen bolts (BB), spring washers (CC)

1. Ensure all controls are in the “OFF” position before
plugging the appliance into a properly grounded
electrical outlet. This appliance is for use on 120 volts.
The appliance has a 3-prong grounded plug. If your
electrical outlet has only 2 slots, you will have to use
an adapter to convert from the 3-prong power cord to a
2-slot receptacle. The green grounding plug extending
from the adapter must be securely connected to a
permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet
box. The adapter should only be used if a proper 3-slot
receptacle is not available.
CAUTION: Adapters are not allowed for use in Canada.
2. A 15-amp circuit is required to operate this appliance.
If the breaker trips when the appliance is running, you
may need to move the appliance to another location or
unplug other appliances that are on the same circuit.
This appliance can be only plugged into a 3-prong wall
socket and should be plugged directly into the wall with
nothing else in that wall socket.
The replace control functions can be accessed in two
ways: 1. Using the control panel, located in the upper
right-hand corner of the electric insert (M). 2. Using the
remote control (N).

3. If you press any button (except POWER) on the
control panel or on the remote control (N), the display
screen will flip down and display all the previous
functions of the electric insert (M) within 3 seconds.
Without further operation, the display screen will
automatically flip back up after 20 seconds. After the
electric insert (M) is turned off, it will take 4 seconds for
it to resume all functions at the next turn on.

4a. Power: Push button to turn on or turn off. If OFF,
all functions (except timer) will be restored at the next
power ON. Note: Unplugging the unit will reset all
functions.
4b. Flame: Press to activate the flame function. This
button controls the brightness of flame and ember
effect. When the fireplace is first turned on, the flame
will come on at the highest setting; press DOWN or
UP button to adjust the brightness of flame. There
are 6 levels you can cycle through, including the OFF
setting (the ember remains on). When this feature is on,
display screen FLAME icon is on also. When adjusting
the flame brightness with UP or DOWN button, the
number of the FLAME LEVEL BARS correspond to its 5
brightness levels.

4c. Heater: Press to activate the heater function. The
system will start the temperature setting at 95°F. When
this feature is on, display screen HEATER icon is on
also. There are 7 adjustable heat levels, ranging from
65°F to 95°F. Press the DOWN or UP button to adjust
the levels, noting each level increases or decreases the
temperature by 5°F. You may switch the temperature
display from Fahrenheit to Celsius by pressing the
HEATER button for approximately 6 seconds.
Note: Without any adjustments after approximately
6 seconds, the display screen will show the room
temperature.

4d. Timer: Press once to activate the TIMER. Press
UP and DOWN button to adjust the timer. The choices
are 0.5H, 1H, 1.5H, 2H, and 8H. Once the timer is on
and the desired setting is reached, the system will shut
down after the chosen time.
4e. Child Lock: Press and hold the button for 6 seconds
to activate the function. When CHILD LOCK is on, all
the other features are disabled. Press and hold the
button again for 6 seconds to unlock the function.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Keep the replace in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity changes
can cause warping, shrinking and/or splitting of wood.
• Use a clean dry cloth to clean the replace.
• Clean metal surfaces of electric insert with a clean damp cloth making sure not to push dust or
debris into any air intake or exhaust vents.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on any part of the appliance.
• Periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/heater unit is strongly recommended to ensure that no dirt
or foreign objects build up.
• Battery Replacement: Use one lithium coin cell battery (size CR2025) for the remote control.
• Use the touch-up pen (II) to repair minor scratches and damages on mantel.

4g. Up: Use to turn up the heat, brightness of ame or
timer.
5. Buttons on the remote control (N) have the same
functions as those on the control panel except Heater
and Child Lock. Using the remote control (N), the
Heater button can perform all the same functions as
the control panel button except it can not switch the
temperature display from Fahrenheit to Celsius. For the
Child Lock button, it quickly activates or deactivates the
function immediately after pressing it with no delay like
the control panel button.
The remote control (N) comes preassembled with a
correct battery, but you must remove the insulation
plastic lm form the battery before operation.
