POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature to
reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits
loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not
use that outlet.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO APPLY YOUR JOINT WRAP
Note: Some wear of the exterior pad fabric may be seen over time; this is normal and will
not affect the performance of the heating pad. Use caution when fastening straps to prevent
hook fasteners from touching clothing.
HOW TO APPLY TO ELBOW – SEE FIGURE 2
1. Position wrap so Controller Connector (Figure 1, number 7) is hanging down. Insert hand
into Fabric Sleeve (Figure 1, number 2) and pull the wrap up aligning the Sunbeam logo
to the elbow. See Figure 2A.
2. The Elastic Fastening Straps (Figure 1, number 5) stretch for size adjustability and a
comfortable fit. Use available hand to wrap each strap around the arm and secure in
place by attaching the Strap Hook Fastener (Figure 1, number 6) directly to the Exterior
Pad Fabric (Figure 1, number 1) or onto the strap itself. See Figure 2B.
3. To remove wrap, detach and unwrap Elastic Fastening Straps and pull arm out of Fabric Sleeve.

The FlexTemp™ Hot + Cold Joint Wrap is specifically designed for use on the elbow or
knee joints for hands-free, targeted hot or cold therapy. Suggested treatment duration for
hot or cold application to the joint is 20 minutes, up to three times a day, unless otherwise
directed.
Note: Always consult with your physician or health professional for recommended treatment
of an injury or chronic muscle or joint pain.

HOW TO USE YOUR JOINT WRAP FOR HEAT THERAPY
1. Ensure that the Gel Pack (Figure 1, number 9) is not inserted in the Mesh Gel Pack Pouch
(Figure 1, number 3).
2. Make sure Cord Connector (Figure 4, letter A) is securely attached to the Pad Connector
(Figure 4, letter B) by pushing both connector parts together until the Connector Release
Tab (Figure 4, letter C) clicks into place for a tight fit.
NOTE: Controller must be connected to heating pad before plugging unit into outlet.
3. After controller is connected to pad, plug into 120V AC electrical outlet.
4. To turn the pad on, press the Control Button (Figure 5, letter A).
5. Select from 3 heat settings: low, medium, or high, by repeatedly pressing the control
button until the desired Heat Setting Indicator (Figure 5, letter B) lights up.
6. To turn the pad off, press the Control Button repeatedly until all of the Heat Setting
Indicator lights turn off.
CAUTION:
• DO NOT SIT ON, LEAN AGAINST, CRUSH OR FOLD PAD DURING USE.
• DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.
• SEE ADDITIONAL WARNINGS IN THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SECTION.
HOW TO APPLY TO KNEE – SEE FIGURE 3
1. Position the wrap over the knee so the Sunbeam logo is aligned to the knee cap. The
Fabric Sleeve (Figure 1, number 2) is not required for application to the knee.
2. Wrap each of the Elastic Fastening Straps (Figure 1, number 5) around the leg and secure
in place by attaching the Strap Hook Fastener (Figure 1, number 6) directly to the Exterior
Pad Fabric (Figure 1, number 1) or onto the strap itself. See Figure 3A.
3. To remove wrap, detach and unwrap Elastic Fastening Straps.

AUTO-OFF FEATURE
Your heating pad controller includes an Auto-Off feature. This feature is designed for
convenience and to conserve energy by automatically turning off after 2 hours of continuous
use. The Auto-Off Indicator (Figure 5, letter C) will flash when the auto-off feature is activated
and the pad shuts off. To restart, press the Control Button until the desired heat setting is
reached.
NOTE: After a power outage, the Auto-Off feature automatically resets the timer.
HOW TO USE YOUR JOINT WRAP FOR COLD THERAPY
– SEE FIGURE 6
1. Place Gel Pack (Figure 1, number 9) in the
freezer for at least 1.5 hours prior to use.
2. Disconnect controller from the pad by
pushing down on the Connector Release
Tab (Figure 4, letter C) and pulling the Cord
Connector (Figure 4, letter A) away from the
Pad Connector (Figure 4, letter B).
Note: Heat therapy should never be applied
while the gel pack is in use.
3. Once gel pack is cold, insert into the Mesh
Gel Pack Pouch (Figure 1, number 3) and
secure in place with the Gel Pack Pouch
Fastener (Figure 1, number 4).
Note: Always use product with the provided
cover. Never apply directly to skin.
4. Apply wrap to the elbow or knee using the application instructions.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS – SEE FIGURE 7
When FlexTempTM Hot + Cold Joint Wrap is not in use, easily
store away until next treatment.
1. When not in use, the Gel Pack can be stored in the Mesh
Gel Pack Pouch.
Note: For increased shelf life, store Gel Pack in cool, dry,
and ventilated area away from incompatible substances.
Keep away from sources of ignition. Do not store in
freezer.
2. Neatly wrap cord and controller and place inside the
Fabric Sleeve. Tightly wrap Elastic Fastening Straps
around the pad and secure for compact, clean storage.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT BLEACH! DO NOT USE
WRINGER!
1. Disconnect pad from outlet. DO NOT PULL BY THE CORD.
2. Disconnect Controller Cord from pad by pressing the tab
on the Cord Side Connector and pulling on the Pad Side
Connector.
3. Fold Elastic Fastening Straps and attach Strap Hook Fasteners to the Exterior Pad Fabric
before placing in the washing machine.
4. Machine wash pad in cold water on gentle cycle or hand wash. Tumble dry on low heat
and remove promptly from dryer or drape to dry.
5. DO NOT plug in pad and pad connector until completely dry.
6. DO NOT wash with the Gel Pack inserted.
7. DO NOT iron your heating pad.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

1. Verify tight connection between pad and controller.
2. Verify AC outlet is functional.
3. Verify no physical damage to the cord, controller or pad.
If failure continues, discontinue use. See warranty
information to contact Sunbeam Consumer Service.
• Pad has No Heat &
Controller ‘Auto-Off’
Indicator is Flashing
Auto-Off feature is set to turn the unit off after 2 hours of
continuous use.
• To re-start unit press the Control Button until desired
heat setting is reached.
• Pad has a Hot Spot • Ensure the pad is not folded, bunched, or crushed in any
area.
• ‘High’ Heat Setting
Indicator is Flashing The ‘High’ Heat Setting Indicator light will start flashing
when connection is broken between pad & controller while
using the product.
1. To reset, simply connect pad & controller together
and press Control Button until desired heat setting is
reached.
2. If flashing light persists, an error has occurred.
Discontinue use of the product and see warranty
information to contact Sunbeam Customer Service.
• Gel Pack is Leaking or
Punctured • Discontinue use and dispose of gel pack.

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. (“Sunbeam”) or if in Canada, Newell Industries Canada ULC (“NIC”) warrants that for a
period of two (2) years from the date of initial retail purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and
workmanship, when used in accordance with the instructions provided. Sunbeam (or NIC) warrants the gel pack
supplied with the unit will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of initial
retail purchase.
Sunbeam (or NIC), at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be
defective during the warranty period.
Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available,
replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT
attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable.
Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Sunbeam (or NIC)
dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling Sunbeam (or NIC) products do not have the right to alter, modify or
any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or
misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly,
repair or alteration by anyone other than Sunbeam (or NIC) or an authorized Sunbeam (or NIC) service center. Further,
the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on Sunbeam’s (or NIC’s) Liability?
Sunbeam (or NIC) shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any
express, implied or statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied
warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of
the above warranty. Sunbeam (or NIC) disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied,
statutory or otherwise. Sunbeam (or NIC) shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase,
use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or
loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser
by any other party. Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion
may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from

Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado, (una

COMO APLICAR SU ALMOHADILLA ENVOLTORIA PARA LAS
ARTICULACIONES
Nota: Es posible que se vea algo de desgaste en la tela exterior de la almohadilla con el paso del
tiempo; esto es normal y no va a afectar el rendimiento de la almohadilla envoltoria. Tenga cuidado al
sujetar las correas para evitar que los ganchos sujetadores entren en contacto con la ropa.
CÓMO COLOCARLA EN EL CODO – VER FIGURA 2
1. Coloque la almohadilla envoltoria de manera que el conector del controlador (Figura
1, número 7) cuelgue hacia abajo. Inserte la mano dentro de la funda de tela (Figura
1, número 2) y hale la almohadilla envoltoria hasta que el logotipo de Sunbeam quede
alineado en el codo. Vea la Figura 2A.
2. Estire las correas de sujeción elásticas (Figura 1, número 5) para un tamaño y ajuste
cómodo Utilice la mano disponible para envolver cada correa alrededor del brazo
y asegurarlas colocando el gancho sujetador de las correas (Figura 1, número 6)
directamente en la tela exterior de la almohadilla (Figura 1, número 1) o en la propia
correa. Vea la Figura 2B.
3. Para retirar la almohadilla envoltoria, separe y desenvuelva las correas de sujeción
elásticas y saque el brazo de la funda de tela.

La Almohadilla Envoltoria para las Articulaciones Caliente + Fría FlexTemp™ está
diseñada específicamente para usarse en las articulaciones del codo o rodilla para terapia
de frío o de calor dirigida con manos libres. La duración sugerida del tratamiento para
la aplicación de calor o frío a la articulación es de 20 minutos, hasta tres veces al día, a
menos que se indique lo contrario.

CÓMO UTILIZAR SU ALMOHADILLA ENVOLTORIA PARA LAS
ARTICULACIONES PARA TERAPIA DE CALOR
1. Asegúrese de que la compresa de gel (Figura 1, número 9) no esté insertada en el bolsillo
de malla para la compresa de gel (Figura 1, número 3).
2. Cerciórese de que el conector del cable (Figura 4, letra A) esté bien conectado al conector
de la almohadilla (Figura 4, letra B) presionando ambas partes del conector hasta que la
pestaña de liberación del conector (Figura 4, letra C) encaje en su lugar para un ajuste
apretado. NOTA: El controlador debe estar conectado a la almohadilla eléctrica antes de
enchufar la unidad en el tomacorriente.
3. Después de conectar el controlador a la almohadilla, enchúfelo a un tomacorriente
eléctrico de 120 VCA.
4. Para encender el teclado, presione el botón de control (Figura 5, letra A).
5. Seleccione entre 3 configuraciones de calor: bajo, medio o alto, presionando
repetidamente el botón de control hasta que se encienda el Indicador de ajuste de calor
deseado (Figura 5, letra B).
6. Para apagar la almohadilla, presione el botón de control repetidamente hasta que todas
las luces indicadoras de ajuste de calor se apaguen.
CÓMO COLOCARLA EN LA RODILLA – VER FIGURA 3
1. Coloque la envoltura sobre la rodilla de modo que el logotipo de Sunbeam quede alineado
con la parte superior de la rodilla. No es necesaria la funda de tela (Figura 1, número 2)
cuando se coloca en la rodilla.
2. Envuelva cada una de las correas de sujeción elásticas (Figura 1, número 5) alrededor de
la pierna y asegúrelas en su lugar uniendo el gancho sujetador de de la correa (Figura 1,
número 6) directamente a la tela exterior de la almohadilla (Figura 1, número 1) o en la
propia correa. Vea la Figura 3A.
3. Para retirar la almohadilla envoltoria, separe y desenvuelva las correas elásticas de
sujeción.

IMPORTANTES.
FUNCIÓN DE APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO
El controlador de la almohadilla eléctrica incluye una función de apagado automático.
Esta característica está diseñada para su comodidad y para ahorrar energía al apagarse
automáticamente después de 2 horas de uso continuo. El indicador de apagado automático
(Figura 5, letra C) parpadeará cuando la función de apagado automático esté activada y el
teclado se apague. Para reiniciar, presione el botón de control hasta alcanzar el ajuste de
calor deseado.
NOTA: Después de un corte de energía, la función de apagado automático restablece
automáticamente el temporizador.

1. Coloque la compresa de gel (Figura 1, número 9) en el congelador durante al menos 1.5
horas antes de usarla.
2. Desconecte el controlador de la almohadilla presionando hacia abajo la pestaña de
liberación del conector (Figura 4, letra C) y halando el conector del cable (Figura 4, letra
A) hacia afuera del conector de la almohadilla
(Figura 4, letra B).
Nota: la terapia de calor nunca debe aplicarse
mientras la compresa de gel está en uso.
3. Una vez que la compresa de gel esté fría,
insértela en el bolsillo de malla para la compresa
de gel (Figura 1, número 3) y fíjela en su lugar
con el cierre para el bolsillo de la compresa de
gel (Figura 1, número 4). Nota: Siempre utilice el
producto con la cubierta provista. Nunca aplique
directamente sobre la piel.
4. Aplique la almohadilla envoltoria en el codo o
la rodilla siguiendo las instrucciones de cómo
colocarla.

Cuando no esté utilizando su Almohadilla Envoltoria para
las Articulaciones Caliente + Fría FlexTemp™, guárdela
fácilmente hasta el siguiente tratamiento.
1. Cuando no utilice la compresa de gel la puede almacenar
en el bolsillo de malla para la compresa de gel.
Nota: Para aumentar la vida útil, almacene la compresa de
gel en un área fresca, seca y ventilada, lejos de sustancias
incompatibles. Manténgala alejada de fuentes de ignición.
No la guarde en el congelador.
2. Envuelva cuidadosamente el cable y el controlador
y colóquelos dentro de la funda de tela. Envuelva
firmemente las correas de sujeción elásticas alrededor
de la almohadilla y asegúrelas para un almacenamiento
compacto y limpio.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LAVADO
PRECAUCIÓN: ¡NO LA LAVE EN SECO! ¡NO USE
BLANQUEADOR! ¡NO UTILICE UN ESCURRIDOR!
1. Desconecte la almohadilla del tomacorriente. NO TIRAR
POR EL CORDÓN.
2. Desconecte el cable del controlador de la almohadilla presionando la pestaña del
conector del lado del cable y tirando de la conexión del lado de la almohadilla.
3. Doble las correas de sujeción elásticas y fije los ganchos sujetadores de las correas a la
tela exterior de la almohadilla antes de colocarla en la lavadora.
4. Lave la almohadilla en la lavadora con agua fría en ciclo delicado o lávela a mano. Puede
secarla en la secadora en calor bajo y retirarla rápidamente de la secadora o cuélguela
para secar.
5. NO enchufe la almohadilla y el conector de la almohadilla hasta que esté completamente seca.
6. NO la lave con la compresa de gel insertada.
7. NO planche la almohadilla eléctrica.

Sunbeam Products, Inc. (“Sunbeam”) o, si se encuentra en Canadá, ULC (“NIC”) de Newell Industries Canada
garantiza que, durante un período de dos (2) años a partir de la fecha de compra minorista inicial, este producto
estará libre de defectos en material y mano de obra, cuando se usa de acuerdo con las instrucciones proporcionadas.
Sunbeam (o NIC) garantiza que la compresa de gel suministrada con la unidad estará libre de defectos en el material
