1. INTENDED USE
The LLS-2054BE is a 2054-style, smart, li-ion battery pack supplied by ST Technologies®that is to
be integrated into our premier LED Headlight product line. The LLS-2054BE may come as a 15V
nominal battery pack or a 14.4V nominal battery pack. Refer to the TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
for the exact differences, but otherwise are identical in operation.
2. WARNINGS
•NOTE: The batteries must be fully charged before first use.
•Upon initial receipt and before each use, inspect each battery for damage. Do not attempt to charge
a damaged battery.
•Do not expose the battery to heat, fire, mechanical shock, or store in direct sunlight.
•Do not open or dismantle the battery
•Do not use this equipment in the presence of a mixture containing flammable anesthetic and/or air
or oxygen or nitrous oxide.
•Do not sterilize, immerse, or expose the battery to water, solvents, lubricants, or other chemicals
to clean the charger unless otherwise directed. Do not allow water to collect in the battery contacts.
Keep clean and dry.
•Do not short-circuit, crush, or shred the battery
•Do not store the batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer in which the batteries may short circuit
each other or be short-circuited by other metal objects.
•In the event of a battery leakage, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with skin or eyes. If
contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical
advice.
•Do not use any charger other than a smart battery charger supplied by ST Technologies®.
•Ensure correct battery orientation is followed before placing into a device.
•Do not attempt to force a battery into a device.
•When possible, remove the battery from equipment when not in use.
•Do not over-discharge the battery. Ensure that a battery is promptly charged in an appropriate
charger if the battery pack has less than 10% charge (see section 4)
•Do not store batteries for more than one month in a discharged state.
•Do not store batteries for more than one year without recharge.

4. BATTERY OPERATION

FUEL GAUGE: Each LLS-2054BE battery is equipped with a fuel gauge that displays the relative
charge state of the battery. To activate the fuel gauge, press the small circular button next to the
gauge. Each LED on the fuel gauge represents 25% of the fully charged capacity. Below is the fuel
gauge legend:
•All four LEDs illuminated –Capacity = 76 –100%
•Three LEDs illuminated –Capacity = 51 –75%
•Two LEDs illuminated –Capacity = 26 –50%
•One LED illuminated –Capacity = 10 –25%
•One blinking LED –Capacity < 10%
CHARGING: The LLS-2054BE should only be charged with ST Technologies® supplied smart
battery chargers. To charge, orient the battery to line up the charger and battery contacts, and
place the battery into the slot. Do not force the battery into the slot. Refer to the charger IFU for a
detailed operation.
ABOUT SMBus and SBS: The Smart Battery System defines the parameters that are stored by
an SBS-compliant battery. These parameters include full battery status and fuel gauging
information. The System Management Bus is the language by which these parameters are
communicated between the battery, the charger and the host device.
NOTE: The LLS-2054BE no longer requires fuel gauge re-calibration.
5. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
•Remove the battery from the host device.
•Clean the exterior of the battery with a cloth that has been dampened (not dripping) using a
hospital disinfectant. Follow applicable hospital protocols during cleaning and dry immediately.
6. USER SERVICE
The LLS-2054BE has no user or field serviceable components. It can only be serviced at the
factory by factory trained technicians.

8. LIMITED WARRANTY
Your battery carries a one-year warranty from the date of shipment on workmanship and all defects
of material. Should your product prove to have such defects ST Technologies® will repair or replace
the product or component part without charge. Please contact ST Technologies® for return
authorization documentation.
You should carefully pack the unit in a sturdy carton and ship it to the factory. Please include a
note describing the defects, your name, telephone number and a return address. Warranty does
not cover equipment subject to misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear or if transferred
to a new owner without authorization from ST Technologies®. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
POST WARRANTY REPAIRS: You may return your product(s) for repair, shipping prepaid to the
factory. Your product will be inspected, and an estimate of repair charges will be submitted to you
for approval. Payment must be received before repairs are completed.

9. END OF PRODUCT LIFE
In accordance with the European Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive,
we encourage our customers to recycle this product whenever possible. Disposal of this unit must be
performed in accordance with the applicable local environmental regulations.

Please contact customer service to issue a return authorization to return product to manufacturer at
the end of product life.

1. UTILISATION PRÉVUE
La batterie LLS-2054BE est une batterie li-ion intelligente, de style 2054, fourni par Sunoptic
Technologies®, qui doit être intégrée à notre gamme de produits à affichage LED. Le LLS-2054BE
peut être fourni sous forme de batterie nominale de 15 V ou de batterie nominale de 14,4 V.
Référez-vous aux CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES pour les différences exactes, mais sinon
elles sont identiques en fonctionnement
2. AVERTISSEMENTS
• REMARQUE : Les batteries doivent être complètement chargées avant la première
utilisation.
• Lors de la réception initiale et avant chaque utilisation, inspectez chaque batterie en vue
d'éventuels dommages. N'essayez pas de charger une batterie endommagée.
• N'exposez pas la batterie à la chaleur, au feu, aux chocs mécaniques ou à la lumière directe du
soleil.
• Ne pas ouvrir ou démonter la batterie
• N'utilisez pas cet équipement en présence d'un mélange contenant un anesthésique
inflammable et/ou de l'air, de l'oxygène ou de l'oxyde nitreux.
• Ne pas stériliser, immerger ou exposer la batterie à l'eau, aux solvants, lubrifiants ou autres
produits chimiques pour nettoyer le chargeur, sauf indication contraire. Ne laissez pas l'eau
s'accumuler dans les contacts de la batterie. Conserver le propre et sec.
• Ne pas court-circuiter, écraser ou démonter la batterie
• Ne stockez pas les batteries au hasard dans une boîte ou un tiroir dans lequel les piles peuvent
se court-circuiter ou être court-circuitées par d'autres objets métalliques.
• En cas de fuite de la batterie, ne laissez pas le liquide entrer en contact avec la peau ou les
yeux. Si le contact a été fait, lavez la zone affectée avec de grandes quantités d'eau et consultez
un médecin.
• N'utilisez aucun chargeur autre qu'un chargeur de batterie intelligent fourni par ST
Technologies®.
• Assurez-vous que l'orientation de la batterie est correcte avant de la placer dans un appareil.
• N'essayez pas de forcer l'insertion d'une batterie dans un périphérique.
• Si possible, retirez la batterie de l'équipement lorsqu'il n'est pas en fonctionnement.
• Ne déchargez pas trop la batterie. Assurez-vous qu'une batterie est chargée rapidement dans un
chargeur approprié si la batterie est chargée à moins de 10% (voir section 4).
• Ne stockez pas les batteries pendant plus d'un mois à l'état déchargé.
• Ne stockez pas les batteries pendant plus d'un an sans recharge.

4. FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA BATTERIE

JAUGE DE CAPACITÉ : Chaque batterie LLS-2054BE est équipée d'une jauge de capacité qui
affiche l'état de charge relatif de la batterie. Pour activer la jauge de capacité, appuyez sur le
petit bouton circulaire à côté de la jauge. Chaque LED sur la jauge de capacité représente 25%
de la capacité complète. Voici la légende de la jauge de capacité :
• Quatre LED allumées - Capacité = 76 à 100%
• Trois LED allumées - Capacité = 51 à 75%
• Deux LED allumées - Capacité = 26 à 50%
• Une LED allumée - Capacité = 10 à 25%
• Une LED clignotante - Capacité < 10%
RECHARGE : La batterie LLS-2054BE ne doit être rechargée qu'avec les chargeurs de batterie
intelligents fournis par ST Technologies®. Pour charger, orientez la batterie pour aligner le
chargeur et les contacts de la batterie, et placez la batterie dans l'emplacement. Ne forcez pas
l'insertion de la batterie dans l'emplacement. Reportez-vous à la notice d'utilisation du chargeur
pour une opération détaillée.
À propos de SMBus et SBS : Le SBS (Système de batterie intelligente) définit les paramètres
qui sont stockés par une batterie compatible SBS. Ces paramètres incluent l'état complet de la
batterie et les informations de jauge de capacité. Le SMBus (bus de gestion système) est le
langage par lequel ces paramètres sont communiqués entre la batterie, le chargeur et le
périphérique hôte.
REMARQUE : La batterie LLS-2054BE ne nécessite plus de ré-étalonnage de la jauge de
capacité.
5. INSTRUCTIONS DE NETTOYAGE
• Retirez la batterie du périphérique hôte.
• Nettoyez l'extérieur de la batterie à l'aide d'un chiffon humide (pas de gouttes) avec un
désinfectant hospitalier. Suivre les protocoles hospitaliers applicables pendant le nettoyage
et sécher immédiatement.
6. SERVICE UTILISATEUR
La batterie LLS-2054BE ne contient aucun composant réparable sur site ou par l'utilisateur. Elle
ne peut être réparée qu'en usine par des techniciens spécialement formés.

8. GARANTIE LIMITÉE
Votre batterie bénéficie d'une garantie de 1 an à compter de la date d'expédition couvrant la main
d'œuvre et de tous les défauts de matériel. Si votre produit s'avère avoir de tels défauts, ST
Technologies®réparera ou remplacera le produit ou la pièce sans frais.
Veuillez contacter ST Technologies®pour obtenir la documentation d'autorisation de retour. Vous
devez soigneusement emballer l'article dans un carton solide et l'expédier à destination de l'usine.
Veuillez inclure une note décrivant les défauts, votre nom, votre numéro de téléphone et une
adresse de retour. La garantie ne couvre pas les équipements sujets à une mauvaise utilisation,
des dommages accidentels, une usure normale ou s'ils sont transférés à un nouveau propriétaire

1. VERWENDUNGSZWECK
Der LLS-2054BE ist ein 2054-Stil, Smart, Li-Ion Akkupack von ST Technologies® der indie LED
Headlight-Luxusproduktreihe eingebaut wird. Der LLS-2054BE kann als 15-V-Akkupack oder als
14,4-V-Akkupack geliefert werden. Beziehen Sie sich auf die TECHNISCHEN
SPEZIFIKATIONEN für die genauen Unterschiede, sind aber ansonsten im Betrieb identisch.
2. WARNUNGEN
• HINWEIS: Die Akkus müssen vor der ersten Verwendung vollständig aufgeladen
werden.
• Inspizieren Sie jeden Akku bei Empfang und vor jeder Benutzung auf Schäden. Laden Sie keinen
beschädigten Akku.
• Akku nicht Hitze, Feuer, Schlägen aussetzen oder in direktem Sonnenlicht lagern.
• Akku nicht öffnen oder zerlegen.
• Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Mixturen, die brennbare Anästhetika und /
oder Luft oder Sauerstoff oder Stickstoffoxid enthalten.
• Akku nicht sterilisieren, untertauchen oder beim Reinigen Wasser, Lösemitteln, Schmiermitteln
oder anderen Chemikalien aussetzen, sofern nicht anders angegeben. Lassen Sie kein Wasser
in die Akkukontakte eindringen. Sauber und trocken halten.
• Nicht kurzschließen, zerdrücken oder zerkleinern.
• Akkus nicht willkürlich in einer Schachtel oder Schublade aufbewahren, in der sie gegenseitigen
Kurzschluss verursachen oder von anderen Metallobjekten kurzgeschlossen werden können.
• Falls ein Akku ausläuft, bringen Sie die Flüssigkeit nicht mit der Haut oder Augen in Kontakt. Bei
Kontakt, Bereich mit reichlich Wasser abwaschen und einen Arzt aufsuchen.
• Nur das von ST Technologies® bereitgestellte Smart-Akkuladegerät verwenden.
• Stellen Sie die richtige Ausrichtung des Akkus sicher, bevor Sie ihn in ein Gerät einlegen.
• Akku nicht gewaltsam in ein Gerät einlegen.
• Entfernen Sie den Akku möglichst vom Gerät, wenn es nicht in Gebrauch ist.
• Entladen Sie den Akku nicht zu stark. Stellen Sie sicher, dass ein Akku umgehend in einem
geeigneten Ladegerät aufgeladen wird, wenn der Akku zu weniger als 10% geladen ist (siehe
Abschnitt 4).
• Akkus nicht länger als einen Monat entladen aufbewahren.
• Akkus nicht länger als ein Jahr entladen aufbewahren.

4. AKKUBETRIEB

LADEANZEIGE: Jeder LLS-2054BE Akku ist mit einer Ladeanzeige ausgerüstet, die den
relativen Ladezustand des Akkus anzeigt. Um die Ladeanzeige zu aktivieren, drücken Sie auf den
kleinen, runden Knopf neben der Messanzeige. Jede LED auf der Ladeanzeige stellt 25 % der
vollen Ladekapazität an. Nachstehend sehen Sie die Legende der Ladeanzeige:
• Alle vier LEDs leuchten: Kapazität = 76 - 100 %
• Drei LEDs leuchten: Kapazität = 51 - 75 %
• Zwei LEDs leuchten: Kapazität = 26 - 50 %
• Eine LED leuchtet: Kapazität = 10 - 25 %
• Eine LED blinkt: Kapazität < 10 %
LADEN: Der LLS-2054BE sollte nur mit den von ST Technologies® bereitgestellten Smart-Akku-
Ladegeräten geladen werden. Richten Sie die Kontakte am Akku zum Laden am Ladegerät aus
und legen den Akku in die Aufnahme ein. Akku nicht gewaltsam in die Aufnahme einlegen.
Genauen Betrieb entnehmen Sie bitte der Gebrauchsanweisung des Ladegeräts.
ÜBER SMBus und SAS: Das Smart-Akku-System definiert die Parameter, die von einem SAS-
kompatiblen Akku gespeichert werden. Zu diesen Parametern gehören Akkuzustand und
Lademessungen. Beim System Management Bus handelt es sich um die Sprache, in der diese
Parameter zwischen Akku, Ladegerät und Host-Gerät kommuniziert werden.
HINWEIS: Der LLS-2054BE benötigt keine Neukalibrierung des Lademessers mehr.
5. REINIGUNGSANWEISUNGEN
• Entfernen Sie den Akku vom Gerät.
• Reinigen Sie die Oberfläche des Akkus mit einem feuchten Tuch (nicht nass) und
Desinfektionsmittel. Gehen Sie bei der Reinigung nach Krankenhausprotokoll vor und
trocknen Sie das Gerät umgehend ab.
6. ANWENDERWARTUNG
Der LLS-2054BE enthält keine Komponenten, die vom Nutzer gewartet werden können. Er darf
nur im Werk von einem geschulten Techniker gewartet werden.

Ihr Akku verfügt über eine 1-Jahres-Garantie ab Versanddatum für Verarbeitungs- und
Materialschäden. Sollte Ihr Produkt solche Fehler aufweisen, dann wird ST
Technologies®das Produkt oder Bauteil kostenlos reparieren oder ersetzen.
Bitte lassen Sie sich von ST Technologies®eine Rücksendegenehmigung geben.Sie
sollten Einheit sorgfältig in einen stabilen Karton verpacken und an das Werk
zurücksenden. Bitte legen Sie eine Notiz bei, in der Sie den Defekt beschreiben und Ihre
Telefonnummer sowie Ihre Adresse angeben. Die Garantie deckt keine Schäden durch
Missbrauch, Unfall, normale Abnutzung oder Übertragung an neuen Besitzer ohne
Genehmigung ST Technologies®.Diese Garantie gewährt Ihnen gewisse Rechte. Sie
könnenje nach Bundesland noch andere Rechte haben.
REPARATUREN NACH ABLAUF DER GARANTIE: Sie können Ihr Produkt zur
Reparatur frankiert ans Werk zurücksenden. Ihr Produkt wird inspiziert und Sie erhalten
einen Kostenvoranschlag für die Reparatur. Die Bezahlung muss vor Abschluss der
Reparatur erfolgen.

9. LEBENSENDE EINES PRODUKTS
Im Einklang mit der europäischen Richtlinie über elektrische und elektronische Altgeräte (WEEE)

örtlichen Umweltbestimmungen entsorgt werden.
