NORMAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD
Este CEPILLO ELÉCTRICO tiene características
que harán su trabajo más rápido y fácil. Seguri-
dad, comodidad y confiabilidad fueron previs-
tos como prioridad para el diseño del mismo,
haciendo más fácil su operación.
ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las advertencias
de seguridad y todas las instrucciones. La omi-
sión de alguna de las advertencias e instruccio-
nes que se enlistan a continuación puede dar
como resultado un choque eléctrico, fuego y/o
un serio daño.
CONSERVE TODAS LAS ADVERTENCIAS Y
TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES.
SEGURIDAD EN EL ÁREA DE TRABAJO
Mantenga el área de trabajo limpia y bien ilu-
minada. Las áreas desordenadas y oscuras pro-
vocan accidentes.
No maneje herramientas eléctricas en atmós-
feras explosivas, tales como en presencia de
líquidos inflamables, gases o polvo. Las herra-
mientas eléctricas crean chispas que pueden
encender el polvo o los humos.
Mantenga alejados a los niños y curiosos
mientras maneja una herramienta eléctrica.
Las distracciones pueden causarle la pérdida
del control.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
La clavija de la herramienta eléctrica debe
coincidir con receptáculo. No modificar nunca
la clavija de ninguna manera. No usar ningún
adaptador de clavijas con herramientas eléctri-
cas puestas a tierra. Clavijas no modificadas y
bases coincidentes reducirán el riesgo de cho-
que eléctrico.
Evite el contacto del cuerpo con superficies
puestas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, co-
cinas eléctricas y refrigeradores. Hay un riesgo
aumentado de choque eléctrico si su cuerpo
está puesto a tierra.
No exponga las herramientas eléctricas a la llu-
via o a condiciones de humedad. El agua que
entre en la herramienta aumentará el riesgo
de choque eléctrico.
No abuse del cable. No usar nunca el cable para
llevar, levantar o desenchufar la herramienta
eléctrica. Mantenga el cable lejos del calor,
aceite, cantos vivos o piezas en movimiento.
Los cables dañados o enredados aumentan el
riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Cuando maneje una herramienta eléctrica en
el exterior, use una prolongación de cable ade-
cuada para uso en el exterior. El uso de una
prolongación de cable adecuada para uso en el
exterior reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico.

EXTENSIONES DE CABLE
NOTA: El uso de cables dañados incrementa el
riesgo de descargas eléctricas o quemaduras.
Si es necesario un cable de extensión, debe ser
usado un cable con el tamaño adecuado de los
conductores. La tabla de la siguiente página,
muestra el tamaño correcto para usar depen-
diendo en la longitud del cable y el rango de
amperaje especificado en la etiqueta de valo-
res nominales del producto. Si está en duda,
use el rango próximo más grande.
Siempre use cables de extensión listados en UL,
CSA ó NOM.
TAMAÑOS RECOMENDADOS DE EXTENSIONES
DE CABLE:
Cuando esté usando el producto afuera, use
una extensión para exteriores marcadas con lo
siguiente: “WA” o “W”. Estas extensiones están
pensadas para trabajar en exteriores y reducen
el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
Esté alerta, vigile lo que está haciendo y use el
sentido común cuando maneje una herramien-
ta eléctrica. No use una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté cansado o bajo la influencia de

drogas, alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento
de distracción mientras maneja herramientas
eléctricas puede causar un daño personal serio.
Use equipo de seguridad. Lleve siempre pro-
tección para los ojos. La utilización para las
condiciones apropiadas de un equipo de segu-
ridad tal como mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos no
resbaladizos, gorro duro, o protección para los
oídos reducirá los daños personales.
Evite un arranque accidental. Asegúrese de
que el interruptor está en posición apagado
antes de conectar a la red y/o a la batería, co-
ger o transportar la herramienta. Transportar
herramientas eléctricas con el dedo sobre el
interruptor o enchufar herramientas eléctricas
que tienen en interruptor en posición encendi-
do invita a accidentes.
Retire llaves o herramienta antes de arrancar
la herramienta eléctrica. Una llave o herra-
mienta dejada unida a una pieza rotativa de
una herramienta eléctrica puede causar un
daño personal.
No se sobrepase. Mantenga los pies bien asen-
tados sobre el suelo y conserve el equilibrio en
todo momento. Esto permite un mejor control
de la herramienta eléctrica en situaciones in-
esperadas.
Vista adecuadamente. No vista ropa suelta o
joyas. Mantenga su pelo, su ropa y guantes
alejados de las piezas en movimiento. La ropa
suelta, las joyas o el pelo largo pueden ser co-
gidos en las piezas en movimiento.
Si hay dispositivos para la conexión de medios
de extracción y recolección de polvo, asegúre-
se de que éstos estén conectados y se usen co-
rrectamente. El uso de estos dispositivos puede
reducir los peligros relacionados con el polvo.
IMPORTANTE: Este aparato no se destina
para utilizarse por personas (incluyendo niños)
cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o menta-
les sean diferentes o estén reducidas, o carez-
can de experiencia o conocimiento, a menos
que dichas personas reciban una supervisión o
capacitación para el funcionamiento del apa-
rato por una persona responsable de su segu-
ridad. Los niños deben supervisarse para ase-
gurar que ellos no empleen los aparatos como
juguete.
UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LAS
HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS
No fuerce la herramienta eléctrica. Use la he-
rramienta eléctrica correcta para su aplicación.
La herramienta eléctrica correcta hará el tra-
bajo mejor y más seguro al ritmo para la que
fue concebida.
No use la herramienta eléctrica si el interrup-
tor no gira “encendido” y “apagado”. Cual-
quier herramienta eléctrica que no pueda con-
trolarse con el interruptor es peligrosa y debe
repararse.
Desenchufe la clavija de la fuente de alimen-
tación y/o de la batería antes de efectuar
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios, o de
almacenar las herramientas eléctricas. Tales
medidas preventivas de seguridad reducen el
riesgo de arrancar la herramienta accidental-
mente.
Almacene las herramientas eléctricas inactivas
fuera del alcance de los niños y no permita el
manejo de la herramienta eléctrica a personas
no familiarizadas con las herramientas o con
estas instrucciones. Las herramientas eléctricas
son peligrosas en manos de usuarios no entre-
nados.
Mantenga las herramientas eléctricas. Com-
pruebe que las partes móviles no estén des-
alineadas o trabadas, que no haya piezas ro-
tas u otras condiciones que puedan afectar la
operación de las herramientas eléctricas. Las
herramientas eléctricas se reparan antes de su
uso, cuando están dañadas. Muchos acciden-
tes son causados por herramientas eléctricas
pobremente mantenidas.
Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas y
limpias. Las herramientas de corte mantenidas
correctamente con los bordes de corte afilados
son menos probables de trabarse y más fáciles
de controlar.
Use la herramienta eléctrica, accesorios y pun-
tas de herramienta, etc. de acuerdo con estas
instrucciones y de la manera prevista para el
tipo particular de herramienta eléctrica, te-
niendo en cuenta las condiciones de trabajo
y el trabajo a desarrollar. El uso de la herra-
mienta eléctrica para aplicaciones diferentes
de las previstas podría causar una situación de
peligro.

SERVICIO
Haga revisar su herramienta eléctrica por un
servicio de reparación calificado usando sola-
mente piezas de reemplazo idénticas. Esto ga-
rantizará que la seguridad de la herramienta
eléctrica se mantiene.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD
PARA CEPILLOS ELÉCTRICOS
Use siempre lentes de protección al utilizar la
máquina. Se recomienda usar peto, guantes y
zapatos resistentes antideslizantes.
El aserrín y las astillas no debe ser quitadas del
camino mientras que la máquina está funcio-
nando.
No perfore la carcasa del motor, ya que podría
dañar el doble aislamiento.
Desconecte siempre el enchufe del tomaco-
rriente antes de realizar cualquier trabajo en
la máquina.
Mantenga cable de alimentación separado de
la máquina. Siempre debe estar el cable detrás
de usted.
Solo cepille si las cuchillas están afiladas y evi-
te el cepillar sobre metal (clavos, tornillos). Al
cepillar verticales (no rebajado) es necesario
uso del protector. Para una operación estacio-
naria, corte pequeños trozos de madera y use
la varilla de empuje.
NOTA: Descance el cepillo en una superficie
solo después que las cuchillas hayan dejado de
girar.
No suelte la herramienta hasta que las cuchi-
llas dejen de girar.
No introduzca las manos en la zona de peligro
si el cepillo esta trabajando.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
CONOZCA SU HERRAMIENTA
Antes de intentar usar este producto, familiarí-
cese con todas las características de operación
y requerimientos de seguridad.
1. BOTÓN DE SEGURIDAD
Encienda el cepillo al accionar el botón de
seguridad.
2. INTERRUPTOR DE ENCENDIDO / APAGADO
3. PUERTO DE EXPULSIÓN DE RESIDUOS
Conecte su aspiradora o bolsa recolectora por
este puerto.
4. PROFUNDIDAD DE CEPILLADO
Puede establecer una profundidad de cepillado
de 0 a 3 mm.
5. BASE ALEADA
Obtenga un cepillado con un terminado suave.
DESEMBALAJE
Esta máquina ha sido empacada completamen-
te ensamblada.
1. Saque la heramienta de la caja. Asegúrese que
todos los elementos se encuentren incluídos.
2. Haga una inspección rápida y asegúrese que
la herramienta no se haya dañado durante el
embalaje.
3. No tire el empaque sin antes asegurarse que
la herramienta funciona correctamente.
4. Si alguna parte se encunetra dañada o fal-
tante, regrese el producto para su reemplazo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Si cualquier parte de la he-
rramienta no se encuentra en el empaque o si
nota que alguna parte este rota, no lo conecte
hasta que haya encontrado la parte faltante
o haya sido reparada. El hacer caso omiso de
esta advertencia puede resultar en daños per-
sonales.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
USO PRINCIPAL DEL CEPILLO
El cepillo puede rebajar, y realizar chaflanes o
biseles. No use este producto de ninguna otra
manera a la que le indica este manual en el uso
normal.
INTERRUPTOR DE ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
Por razones de seguridad, esta herramienta
está equipada con un sistema de bloqueo para
evitar accionamientos accidentales.

ENCENDIDO: Pulse el interruptor de bloqueo y
luego el interruptor de encendido.
APAGADO: Suelte el interruptor de encendido/
apagado.
ANTES DE INICIAR OPERACIÓN
· Nunca introduzca las manos en la zona de pe-
ligro del cilindro de sujeción de cuchillas, si la
maquina esta funcionando.
· Antes de que las cuchillas del cepillo toquen
la pieza a trabajar, coloque la base frontal de
la maquina en la pieza atrabajar y encienda.
· La muesca en forma de V en la parte delan-
tera de la base asegura un biselado correcto.
IMPORTANTE: Las ranuras de ventilación
de la máquina deben estar libres en todo mo-
mento.
ESTABLECIENDO LA
PROFUNDIDAD DE
CORTE
Establezcalo con la pe-
rilla. Las marcas de la
perilla representan
3mm de profundidad
de corte.
PUERTO DE EXTRACCIÓN DE RESIDUOS
Se puede conectar a la maquina una bolsa para
polvo (aserrín) o el adaptador para aspiradora.
BISELADO DE BORDES (CHAFLANES)
La ranura en “V” en la
base del cepillo es usada
para hacer chaflanes (bi-
selado). Coloque el cepillo
enla orilla de la pieza de
trabajo, presione el cepillo
y comience a moverlo ha-
cia adelante lentamente a
lo largo de la orilla.
CEPILLADO CON O SIN LA GUÍA
La guía paralela tiene que estar asegurada a
un lado de la máquina usando una abrazadera.
Ajuste la distancia desde la cuchilla y asegurela
con la tuerca.
NOTA: Teniendo la guía de corte instalada,
haga una prueba en una pieza pequeña de ma-
dera antes de trabajar en la pieza de trabajo.
DIRECCIÓN DE AVANCE
La dirección de avance del cepillo debe ser
siempre de la forma en la que se muestra en
la imagen. La rotación del rodillo debe de ser
de acuerdo a como se muestra en la cubierta
de la cinta.
PARA EL CEPILLADO EN GENERAL
Posicione la base frontal en la pieza de trabajo.
Con la profundidad de cepillado establecida,
encienda el cepillo y permita que las cuchilles
alcancen su velocidad máxima de rotación.
Mueva la máquina a lo largo de la pieza de tra-
bajo, asegurando un paso suave y parejo para
obtener un óptimo cepillado.
NOTA: El mover el cepillo rápido en reversa
causará que la máquina rebote y produzca un
terminado de baja calidad.
USO INAPROPIADO:
Las funciones y uso de la máquina son sola-
mente las indicadas en este manual. Espere
a que termine de girar las cuchillas antes de
guardarla.
IMPORTANTE: Las cuchillas siempre tienen
que ser reemplazadas en pares.
CUCHILLAS
La máquina esta equipada con unas cuchillas
de doble filo de acero de alta velocidad. Para
un óptimo y largo funcionamiento, verifique la
condicion de las cuchillas periódicamente, cam-
bielas si es necesario.
Solamente use cuchillas perfectamente afiladas.
Utilice solamente cuchillas y soportes recomen-
dados por el fabricante o distribuidor.
REEMPLAZO/AJUSTE DE CUCHILLAS
IMPORTANTE: Solo use cuchillas afiladas.
Apague la maquina y desconecte de la fuen-
te de poder antes de realizar cualquier tipo de
mantenimiento.
ADVERTENCIA: Las cuchillas son extrema-
damente filosas, tenga cuidado en todo mo-
mento.

Ajuste las tuercas en la di-
rección que se muestra en
la foto con la llave, la cual
liberará la presión aplica-
da a la cuchilla. Cuando
la cuchilla este suelta, sa-
quela.
Afloje los dos tornillos al
contrario del sentido de
las manecillas del reloj
hasta que salgan al ras de
la superficie de la abraza-
dera y pueda extraerlas
manualmente.
Inserte la nueva cuchilla
asegurándose de que este
en la dirección correcta. La
ranura de la parte poste-
rior de la cuchilla no debe
estar en contra de la pinza
bloque.
Ajuste las tuercas los suficiente para que la cu-
chilla se quede en su lugar pero tambien dejan-
dolo lo suficientemente suelto para que pueda
ajustar la altura y nivel de la cuchilla.
Ajuste la base frontal para
que sea un poco mas baja
que la base trasera y de la
traba de la cuchilla para
evitar interferencias.
Coloque una guía recta en
la base trasera.
Al ajustar las tuercas que sostienen la cuchilla
puede elevarla gradualmente. Verifique la al-
tura de la cuchilla al darle vuelta con la mano
y vea si la cuchilla roza con la guía que coloco
previamente.
Ajuste la guía para que apenas toque la guía.
Asegure los tres puntos importantes a travéz
de la cuchilla para verificar que esté igualmen-
te nivelado. Cuando ya tenga la altura de la
cuchilla establecida, asegurese que este ajusta-
da y nivelada verficando con su mano derecha
sobre la base para el cepillado. Apriete las tres
tuercas para que la cuchilla este completamen-
te asegurada.
ADVERTENCIA: Después de completar esta
operación asegúrese de que la cuchilla y su
soporte estan bien aseguradas y bien coloca-
das, si no es asi puede provocar serias lesiones.
ADVERTENCIA: Debido a la fuerza y vibra-
ción que se experimenta por el cortador de
bloques, se recomienda que se aplique una
secuencia de bloqueo compuesto a la hoja de
ajuste de los tornillos.
REEMPLAZO DE LA BANDA
Apague la máquina y desconecte de la fuente
de poder antes de realizar cualquier tipo de
mantenimiento.
Para reemplazar la banda, quite la cubierta
para accesar a la banda y poleas.
MANTENIMIENTO
ANTES DE REALIZAR CUALQUIER TIPO DE
MANTENIMIENTO:
• Apague la máquina.
• Espere hasta que la máquina se detenga por
completo.
• Desenchufe la herramienta.
PARTES REEMPLAZABLES
Partes que no hayan sido revisadas y aprobadas
por el fabricante pueden dañar seriamente la
herramienta y a la vez causar daños al usuario.
Utilice solamente partes originales para reem-
plazar las partes viejas. Esta instrucción aplica
a mecanismos de seguridad y partes cortantes.
LIMPIEZA
Limpie periodicamente el polvo y residuos de
madera acumulados. Limpie la máquina con
un trapo humedo con un poco de jabón suave.
No utilice ningun tipo de soluciones abrasivas
o detergentes, esto puede causar corrosión de
partes plásticas de la máquina. Asegúrese de
que el agua lo alcance el interior de la herra-
mienta.
SERVICIO
No hay partes en el interior de la máquina
que requieran de mantenimiento hecho por el
usuario. Si la máquina deja de funcionar des-
pues de un tiempo de trabajo transcurrido, lle-
ve la herramienta a un centro de servicio para
su revisión.
INSPECCIÓN DE LOS TORNILLOS
Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos y
asegúrese de que estén completamente apre-

tados. Si hay algún tornillo flojo, apriételo in-
mediatamente.
MANTENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN
Todas las herramientas eléctricas de calidad
requieren de vez en cuando el servicio de man-
tenimiento o el reemplazo de piezas debido al
desgaste producido durante la utilización nor-
mal. Para asegurarse de que solamente se uti-
licen piezas de reemplazo autorizadas, todos
los servicios de mantenimiento y reparación
deberán realizarse solamente en un CENTRO
DE SERVICIO AUTORIZADO.
INSPECCIÓN DE LOS CARBONES
El motor utiliza carbones, que son piezas de
repuesto. Reemplace los carbones por otros
nuevos cuando se hayan desgastado hasta su
límite. Mantenga siempre limpios los carbones
para asegurar que se deslicen libremente den-
tro de los porta-carbones.
SOLUCIONADOR DE PROBLEMAS
DESGASTE DE CARBONES
Lleve la máquina a un centro de servicio auto-
rizado para el cambio de carbones.
SI LA MÁQUINA NO CORTA O DEJA UN ACA-
BADO CON BORDES
Cuchillas desafiladas: Reemplace las cuchillas.
Madera húmeda: Deje secar la madera.
SI SIENTE QUE LA BANDA ESTA UN POCO SUELTA
Desgaste o rotura de la banda: Reemplace la
banda.
SI LA MÁQUINA NO CEPILLA A LA PROFUNDI-
DAD CORRECTA

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Your ELECTRIC PLANER has many features that
will make your job faster and easier. Safety,
performance and reliability have been given
top priority in the design of this tool, qualities
to make easy to maintain and to operate.
WARNING: Read and understand all in-
structions. Failure to follow all indications list-
ed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
SAFETY IN WORKING AREA
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered benches and dark areas may cause acci-
dents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
spheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Some power tools create
sparks which may provoke fire.
Keep away observers, children and visitors
while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
ELECTRIC SAFETY
Double insulation eliminates the need for the
three wire grounded power cord and ground-
ed power supply system.
Avoid the body contact with grounded surfac-
es such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is grounded.
Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. The precense of water into power tools
will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse of the power cord. Never use the
power cord to carry the tool and do not pull
the plug off the outlet. Keep the cable away of
heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outside, use an
outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
EXTENSION CORDS
Replace damaged cords immediately. The use
of damaged cords can shock, burn or electric
shock. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord
with adequate size conductors should be used
to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of pow-
er or overheating. The table below shows the
correct size to use, depending on cord length
and nameplate amperage rating of tools. In
case of doubt use the next heavier gauge. Al-
ways use UL listed extension cords.
SIZE RECOMMEND EXTENSION CABLES
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Don’t use the tool if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of unattention while operating pow-
er tools may cause a serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away of moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Avoid an accidental starting. Be sure that the
switch is OFF before plugging in. Carrying
tools with the finger on the switch or plug in
the tool switch in ON may cause accidents.
Remove the adjusting keys or wrenches be-
fore turning the tool on. A wrench or a key
that is left close to a rotating part of the tool
may provoke a personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. Proper footing and bal-
ance enables better control of the tools on un-
expected situations.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye pro-
tection. Dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard
hat, or hearing protection must be used for ap-
propriate conditions.
Before connecting the tool to a power source
(receptacle, outlet, etc.) be sure that the volt-
age supplied is the same as that one specified
on the nameplate of the tool. To use a not
specified voltage may cause a serious injury to
the user as well as damage the tool.

should be supervised to ensure they do not use
the devices as toys.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
tool for the application. The correct tool will
do the job better and more safely at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use tools if switch does not turn it on or
off. Any tool that cannot be controlled whith
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories or storing the tool. This preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of accidental
starting of the tool.
When the power tool is not in use, store it out
of the reach of children, and do not allow in-
dividuals who are not familiar with the power
tool or these instructions to operate it. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands on untrained
users.
Maintain the power tool. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, broken parts,
and any other condition that may affect the
operation of the power tool. If it is damaged,
have it repaired before using. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Check for misalignment or bonding of moving
parts, breakage parts, and any other condition
that may affect the tools operation. If you find
a damaged tool, take it to service before use it.
Use only accessories that are recommended by
the manufacturer of your model. Suitable ac-
cessories for one tool, may become hazardous
when are used on another tool.
Keep cutting tools, sharpened and clean. Cut-
ting tools in good condition with sharpened
edges, are less likely to stuck in workpieces or
easier to control.
Is recommendable to use a safety device suit-
able, such a thermal and diferential switch
when you are using an electric equipment.
SERVICE
Tool service must be perfomed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
ELECTRIC PLANERS
Always wear googgles when using the ma-
chine. It is recommended to wear gloves, stur-
dy non slipping shoes and apron.
Sawdust and splinters must not be removed
while the machine is running.
Do not pierce the motor housing as this could
damage the double insulation (use adhesives).
Always disconnect the plug from the socket
before carring out any work on the machine.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of
the machine. Always lead the cable away be-
hind you.
Only plane with sharp blades and avoid
metal(nails, screws).
When doing stationary planing (not rabbet-
ing) use the guard.
For stationary openation, for trimming small
pieces of wood also use push stick.
NOTE: Only put the planer down after the
blades have stopped moving.
Do not put the machine down until the blade
drive has stopped running.
Never reach into the danger area of the plane
when it is running.

UNPACKING
This product has been shipped completely as-
sembled, except cutting blade.
1. Carefully remove the tool and the acces-
sories from the box. Make sure that all items
listed in the packing list are included.
2. Inspect the tool carefully to make sure that
no breakage or damage occurred during ship-
ping.
3. Do not discard the packing material until
you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily
operated the tool.
4. If any parts are damaged or missing, return
the product for replacement.
WARNING: If any parts are broken or miss-
ing, DO NOT attempt to plug in the power cord
or operate the saw until the broken or missing
parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result
in possibly serious injury.
To prevent accidental starting that could cause
serious personal injury, always disconnect the
tool from the power source when assembling
parts.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
USE
The plane can plane surfaces and rabetts,
and bevel and chan\mfer edges. Do not use
this product in another way as stated for nor-
mal use.
ON/OFF SWITCH
For safety reasons this power tool is fitted
with a switch lock and the on/off switch can-
not be locked in the “ON” position.
SWITCHING ON; Press switch lock and then
on/off Switch.
SWITCHING OFF; Release on/off switch.
ADVICE FOR OPERATION
• Never reach into the danger area of the
plane it is running.
• Place the front page of the machine on to
the worpiece and switch on, before the plan-
er blade touches the workpiece.
• The V-shape notch in the front of the sup-
porting plate ensures safe chamfering of
edges.
IMPORTANT: The ventilation slots of the
machine must be kept clear at all times.
SETTING THE PLAN-
ING DEPTH
With setting wheel.

sent 3mm cutting
depth.
SAWDUST REMOVAL
A dust bag* or suction hose with adaptor can
be attached to the machine for sawdust re-
moval with an wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner.
CHAMFERING EDGES

on the edge of the work-
piece, push the planer
slowly and evenly toward
along the edge.
PLANING WITH OR WITHOUT THE GUIDE
The parallel guide is secured to the side of
the machine using clamping knob. Adjust
the distance from the blade and secure with
locking nut.
NOTE: As it is a guide, make a test cut on a
scrap of timber prior to making any cut on
the workpiece.
DIRECTlON OF ADVANCEMENT (FIG.5):
The planer advancement direction should
always be as shown. The roller rotation di-
rection is indicated by an arrow on the belt
cover.

GENERAL PLANING OPERATIONS:
Place the front planing base on the work
piece. With the depth set, start the planer
and allow the blades to run up to fuIl speed.
Move the machine across the work piece, en-
suring the pass is smooth, even and gentle to
obtain the optimum cut.
NOTE: Moving the planer too fast or back-
wards will cause the machine to bounce and
produce a poor finish.
IMPROPER USE
The functions and use of this are those ex-
clusively indicated in this manual. Wait fer
complete run-down before putting the tool
aside.
IMPORTANT: The replacement blades must
always be reversed or replaced as a pair.
BLADES
The machine is equipped with double edged
HSS blades. For optima! long term perfor-
mance, periodically check the conditíon of the
blades and if necessary replace them.
Only use perfectly sharpened blades. Only
use recommended blades and blade holders.
BLADE REPLACEMENT/ADJUSTMENT
IMPORTANT: Only use sharp blades. Switch
off the power supply and disconnect the
mains lead before carrying out any mainte-
nance operations.
WARNING: The blades are extremely
sharp, so care must be taken at al! times.
Tighten the bolts in the
direction shown with the
spanner which will re-
lease the tension on the
blade. When the blade is
loose slide it out.
Loosen the two grub
screws anticlockwise un-
til they are flush with
the surface of the clamp
block.
Insert the new blade
making sure of the cor-
rect orientation, ie. the
groove down the back of
the blade is NOT against
the clamp block.
Adjust the bolts to grip the blade loosely so
that it stays in place, but still allowing ease
of movement for setting up the blade height/
level.
Adjust the front sole
plate so that it is lower
than the rear plate and
cutter block to avoid in-
terference.
Place a straight edge
across the rear sole plate.
By screwing the grub screws cIockwise equal-
ly, raise the blade up gradually.
Keep checking the blade height by moving
the cutter block round by hand to see it the
blade scrapes on the straight edge.
Set the blade so that it just touches the
straight edge. Make this check at three
points across the blade to ensure a correct
and equallevel is achieved. When height ad-
justment is complete, ensure the blade is ad-
justed level with the right hand side of the
sole p/ate for rebating. Tighten the three
bolts gripping the blade securely.
WARNING: After having completed this
operation, ensure that the blade and blade
support are securely fastened in the cutter
block, if not, serious accidents may occur.
WARNING: Due to the forces and vibra-
tion which are experienced by the cutter
block, it is recommended that a suitable
thread locking compound be applied to the
blade adjustment grub screws. For this rea-
son it is also important before each use to
inspect the blade set up.
BELT REPLACEMENT
Turn off the machine and disconnect the
power source before performing any main-
tenance.
To replace the belt, remove the cover to ac-
cess the belt and pulleys.

MAINTENANCE
BEFORE ALL CARE AND MAINTENANCE WORK
• Turn the machine off.
• Wait until the machine has come to a com-
plete standstill.
• Pull out the power plug.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
Parts which were not reviewed and approved
by the manufacturer can damage the machine
and can cause serious injuries.
Use only original parts for replacing old parts,
particularly for safety mechanisms and cutting
tools.
CLEANING
Clean the machine regularly after each use
from dust, shaving, wood splinters, etc.
Clean the machine with a moist cloth and some
soft soap. Do not use any detergents or solu-
tion; these may cause corrosion of the plastic
parts of the machine. Make sure that no water
reaches the inside of the machine.
INSPECTION OF THE SCREWS
Inspect all screws and ensure that they are fully
tightened. If any screws are loose, retighten
them immediately.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
All quality power tools require occasional
maintenance service or replacement because
of wear from normal use. To ensure that only
authorized replacement parts are used, all
maintenance and repairs must be performed
only by AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER.
INSPECTION OF CARBON BRUSHES
The engine uses carbons, which are spare parts.
Replace the brushes with new ones when worn
to its limit. Always keep the carbons clean to
ensure that they slide freely within the brush
holder.

Brushes worn: Have carbon brushes replaced
by an authorized service center.
