GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
1. Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated.

5. Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol

6. Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause
hazards.
7. Water and Moisture - Do not use this product near water - for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen
sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like.
8. Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product

12. Grounding or Polarization - This product is equipped with a three-wire grounding-type plug, a plug having
a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If
you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do

13. Power - Cord Protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are likely to be walked on or

receptacles and the point where they exit from the product.
14. Protective Attachment Plug - The product is equipped with an attachment plug having overload protection.
This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual for replacement or resetting of protective device. If
replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service technician has used a replacement plug specified
by the manufacturer that has the same overload protection as the original plug.
15. Lightning - For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and
unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
16. Power Lines - An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or
other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an
outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits
as contact with them might be fatal.
17. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords or integral convenience receptacles as this

1. All the warnings and instructions of this manual should be followed
2. Remove the plug from the outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid aerosol detergents. Use
water damped cloth for cleaning
3. Do not use this unit in very humid and wet places
4. Keep enough space around the unit for ventilation. Slots and openings of the cabinet should
not be blocked.
5. During flashes of lightning or cracks of thunder, or when the system is not used for a long
time, unplug the system power supply and disconnect the antenna and cables to protect the
unit from lightening or power surges.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To increase the life of the CRT and to help prevent “burn in” on
the monitor, it is strongly recommended that the monitor be set to standby mode when
not in use for observation. In standby mode, output to a connected time lapse VCR will
continue, though no picture will be displayed on the monitor’s screen.

MONITOR CONTROLS - FRONT PANEL

1. SetUp//– This button selects the following Functions: Bright, Tint, Color, Sharpness and
Contrast. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys to move around and change functions.
2. Setting – This button controls the Functions mentioned above. Press this button and use the
volume keys “”and“”tocontrol.
Volume – Decreases/Increases volume sound. Press “” to decrease the sound level. Press “”
to increase the sound level.
3. Mode – This button consists of Mode 1, Mode 2 and User Mode which will decrease/increase the
image lighting – for example, Mode 1 is used better in the day and Mode 2 is used better at night.
4. Talk – In Full screen mode, by pressing and holding this button the user has the ability to talk to a
specific camera location. This button must be pressed the entire time while talking. To listen to the
camera location release the talk button. Note: This feature is only available with the wired cameras,
which have two-way audio feature.
5. Audio Sel – This buttons selects a channel to hear a specific camera location in Quad Mode. A
microphone icon will appear on the specific camera, press again and the icon will move to next
channel.
6. Infra-Red Receiver – Receives signal from remote control to the monitor.
7. Channel 1 – Displays Full Screen of Camera 1.
8. Channel 2 – Displays Full Screen of Camera 2.
9. Channel 3 – Displays Full Screen of Camera 3.

10. Channel 4 – Displays Full Screen of Camera 4.
11. VCR – Press and hold this button to change the display from the camera inputs to the VCR
Audio/Video playback and recording signal. The amber LED light located over this button will be
ON when the VCR mode selection has been chosen. Press and hold the button again to return to
Actual.
Enter – The Enter button is used in Menu Mode and Zoom Mode.
12. Quad – Pressing this button activates Quad Mode displaying all 4 camera images. To freeze a
picture in Quad mode, first select the desired camera and an ‘F’ letter will appear, pressing it a
second time will Exit from the ‘Freeze’ mode.
Auto1 – Pressing this button a second time displays full channels in sequential mode.
Zoom – Press and hold this button again to zoom in all 4 cameras and sequential cameras.
Available in Quad, Quad1 (sequential mode) and PIP mode.
13. Auto2/Auto 3 – This button displays PIP Mode. Allows you to view two locations simultaneously,
one being the main channel the other camera being viewed in Picture-in-Picture. To change
or reverse screens continue pressing this button setting to desired main channel and PIP
channel. (main channel: CH1-CH2-CH3-CH4-STOP-AUTO1) – (sub channel: CH1-CH2-CH3
-CH4-STOP-AUTO2)
14. Menu – Press and hold this button for approximately 2 seconds to display the Menu feature. Each
new screen is explained in detail in the next few pages. Use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys
(channel 1 - 4) to move around and change settings
PIP – This button displays PIP and Dual PIP Modes. Press this button to display PIP mode.
Pressing this a second time will display Dual PIP. Please see below for screen shots of
PIP/Dual PIP:

15. Standby Switch – This button will turn the unit into Standby Mode (the amber LED light will be
ON). In Standby mode, the VCR Out terminal will still output signal (when VCR Output is set to
Quad). Pressing it again will turn the power ON (the amber LED light will be OFF). The master
power switch, which controls the monitor is located at the back of the unit.

MENU OSD / SCREEN SHOTS
Time - Sets the time. Use the Up/Down/Left/Right keys to change and press the ‘Enter’ button on
the monitor to confirm your selection.
Date - Sets the date. Use the Up/Down/Left/Right keys to change and press the ‘Enter’ button on
the monitor to confirm your selection.
Date Format - Displays date in three formats (choose U.S.A., Asian or European options).
Time Disp (MON) - Select ‘Y’ or ‘N’ using the Enter Button to choose to display the Time on the
monitor.
Time Disp (VCR) - Select ‘Y’ or ‘N’ using the Enter Button to choose to display the VCR Time on the
monitor.
Title Disp - Select ‘Y’ or ‘N’ using the Enter Button to choose to display the Title on the monitor.
Quad Line - Displays the lines on Quad view. Select ‘Y’ or ‘N’ using the Enter Button for selection.
Blank Color - Select the Color of the Blank Screen. Choose ‘Gray’, ‘Blue’ or ‘Black’ using the Enter
button for selection.
Title - Changes titles of each camera location (up to 8 characters). Use the and press
the Enter button for selection.
Dwell - The duration to which the monitor moves from one camera to another (adjustable). The
dwell time can be adjusted from 0 to 59 seconds.

Alarm - This screen allows you to change Alarm functions (Alarm OFF, N/O – Normally Open and
N/C – Normally Closed) individually. Adjust the duration to which the alarm will occur.
Key Buzzer - Select ‘Y’ or ‘N’ by using the Enter button to select the Buzzer sound.
Loss Buzzer - ‘L’ letter will be displayed when signal has been lost.
Alarm Buzzer - This will Activate/Deactivate the PIR Motion Sensor alarm feature of the camera.
Alarm Time - Changes the alarm durations (0-95 seconds-selectable) Note: When the alarm
function is used, the monitor will automatically switch to full screen display when motion/movement
is detected. The user will be alerted to motion being detected by an alarm sound. At the end of the
alarm time, the monitor will automatically switch back to the previous mode. Should multiple alarm
triggers occur, the monitor will automatically switch to quad mode to show multiple alarm locations.
Default Setting - Reset to factory settings. Press Y to Enable initial settings or press N to disable
initial settings.

MONITOR CONTROLS - BACK PANEL
1. Power - This button controls power to the entire unit . Depress the side with the ‘•’, to turn power
ON. Depress the other side to turn the unit OFF. When this switch is turned On, the screen
display will always be in Quad mode.
2. VCR Audio /Video In - Use with A/V cables (not supplied) to receive audio and video from an
external source (VCR).
3. VCR Audio/Video Out - Use with A/V cables (not supplied) to transmit audio and video monitor
to VCR.
4. Slave Audio/Video Out - Use with A/V cables (not supplied) for use with a slave monitor.
5. 6 Pin Din Camera Inputs - Channel 1-4 Camera inputs (for cameras with 6 pin din camera
inputs).
6. BNC Camera Inputs - Channel 1-4 camera inputs (for cameras with BNC Video outputs).
7. RCA Audio inputs - Channel 1-4 Audio inputs (for cameras with RCA Audio output).
8. Alarm Function Terminals - These terminals are used to connect external alarm devices such
as a motion sensor, door/alarm sensor, or time lapse VCR. Refer to Alarm Connection in the
appendices for further details.

***IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES OF RECORDING WHEN USING
A TIME LAPSE VCR: DUPLEX OR ACTUAL***
Duplex recording – Records quad screen to VCR. To select this option ensure you connect
the system to the VCR OUT on the back of the monitor to the Audio/Video IN of the VCR.
Actual recording – Records what appears on the monitor. To select this option, press the
Menu Feature on the monitor, choose (VCR OUT – Actual).

A. Camera Unit
Permanent installation using metal camera bracket
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Keep camera installed away from direct sunlight. Also avoid places where humidity
is high or unable to protect rain. The mounting bracket must be attached to a
structural device such as wall stud or ceiling after using suitable fastener.

NOTE:
