The 3860D (600 cps) and 3880D (800 cps) serial matrix printers from GENICOM offer a patented,
dual paper handling system with auto-switching paper paths. Two sets of 6-pin push tractors
are used for rear and front/bottom paper feeding. The 3860S (600 cps) and 3880S (800 cps)
models are available if you are looking for a single-path alternative. This single paper path
serves either front or bottom feed.

The 3860 and 3880 series of printers feature print capability for printing up to seven part forms.
Automatic forms thickness sensing is included on dual path models to provide effortless
switching from one forms thickness to another. Zero-inch tear-off, automatic paper park,
automatic top of form, and a paper motion sensor are also standard. There is also a control
panel lockout feature to prevent unwanted changes in printer configurations. Serial and
parallel interfaces are standard with automatic switching between the two.
Load two different continuous forms and switch between
them. Load two identical continuous forms and run longer
print jobs unattended.
