When using the stand When installing the display box on the wall
Please pull out the stand at the back of the
display box.
When putting the display box away, please
insert the stand inthe slot on the back of the
display box.
a Screw the wall-hanging screws into the wall
(leave the screws protruding from the wall by
about
5 mm).
@ Insert the screw heads into the holes on the
back ofthe display box.
@Pull the display box down lightly with your
hands.
If the unit is not installed properly,
there is a riskthat the display box will
fall down.
Please avoid installing the display
box ina place where the cord will end
up being trodden on or caught on
something.
S Please do not swing the display box
around bythe cord.
<Before using>
1. Power source
Please use an AC adaptor or 6 alkali batteries (LR6).
1) In case of usingbatteries (not included)
Loosen the battery box fixing screw on the side of the display box and pull the battery box
out. Place the batteries inthe direction as illustrated and insert the battery box back into its
original position and tighten the battery box fixing screw. When the

b is turned on in the battery replacement warning mark b L0 BATTERY, replace all 6
batteries.

Becareful when replacing the batteries notto let the batteriesfall out.
2) When AC adaptor (optional)
Insert the AC adaptorjack into thejack holder on the side of the display box and plug the
ACadaptor intothe ACwall outlet. (Genuine optional ACadaptor.)
<Trouble Shooting>
(1) Nothingis displayed when switchis pressed
.If ACadaptor is used :
Check the connection ofthe ACadaptorjack to thejack holder, and the connection ofthe ACadaptor plugtothe wall socket.
.If batteries are used :
The batteries may be weak. Tryan ACadaptor or new batteries.
(2) Measurementis not accurate
.Check that all feet ofthe scale are steady.
.Accurate measurement may be impossible
if the product is used where there is excessive vibration. Try using the product ina different place.

1. Turn on the poweron by pressing the key.

3. The person to beweighed should stand still inthe middleof the scale.

4. Measurementis completed.
When the person being weighed steps off the scale, the display will return to "0.0".
Turn off the power by pressing the key.
2.Tare Weighing
1. Turn on the power bypressing the key.
2. After allthe segments flash, L01 is displayed.

3. Carefully place the tare items (clothes, etc.) inthe center of the platform.

An arrowwill appear next to the 4 [NET]mark and [0.0]will be displayed.

5. When weighing an object including tare items, the weight of the obiect minus that of the tare

items, which is the netweight, will be displayed.
To change the tare weight, cancel the tare weighingfunctionandrepeat from step 3.

When using the tare weighing function, the measurement range is reduced by the tare weight.

1. Remove the tare items (plates, bags, etc.) from the platform.

4. Auto OFF Mode
1. When you press the key the scale will enter the Auto OFF switching mode.
2. The displaywill switch betweenCONT (continuous), 10 (rnin)and 20 (rnin)with the key.
" The defaultsettingis set to in 20 (rnin).
3. Please set time by pressing [TIMER] Thenit returns weighing mode after all segmentsflash.

.Names and connection methods for signal lines

An RS-232C connector (D sub 9 pin male) is attached to the side of the displaybox.
When connecting the displaybox with a personal computer, etc., please use an RS-232C cross cable.
.Weighing Mode
When receiving 4 bytesof data as indicatedin 1-1 while using the scale in weighing mode, weight datawill be output in 26 bytes, as indicatedin 1-2.
* While the scaleis used with lb (pound)measurement units, the weight data will be output in lbs (pounds).
