1 Level 2E repair process
Please refer to <L2E repair process> in support (CSS/RSH) website for details.
2 Warranty Check and Visual Inspection
2.1 Warranty confirmation of L1
IMEI check:
1) Power on the handset, click-through “Settings” -> “About tablet” -> “Status” -> “IMEI
information”.
2) Open Phone App and type “*#06#”.
3) IMEI label is on the SD/SIM slot cover (as illustrated in the following figure)
If the IMEI label on the SD/SIM slot cover remains:
We should make sure that the IMEI number in the system MUST be the same with the one on the
IMEI label; if not, it should be out of warranty.

Humidity sensitive label
If humidity sensitive label is not good, the tablet will be considered as out of guarantee.
Liquid was detected by humidity sensitive label.

2.3 Pretest
1) Check that the SIM card and SD card are set correctly.
2) Power on the tablet.
3) If the tablet asks to input NCK code, this means it is SIM locked and can only be worked with
dedicated SIM card. Use the correct SIM card.
4) Enter the phone code if necessary.
5) Power on the product to launch the auto test
Using auto test code:
Open “Calculator” application, and type “0*0-0+=” to enter MMI test mode, you will then see the
interface displaying the SW version. Select “AUTO” to start the auto test, or select “MANU” to
do the MMI test manually.
If one of the tests fails during “AUTO” test mode, it will display “Failed: xxx”. In this case, either
press „Next‟ to go on test or press „END‟to Power off.”
For detailed instruction of each test item, please refer to <MMI TEST> video in support
(CSS/RSH) website.

The bellowing table shows the nominal battery life respectively in standby and talking mode. These typical
values are expressed in normal temperature with battery initially full charged and under good ratio
coverage. Battery range depends on the network characteristics, the ambient temperature and particularly
on movement.

Note:
1) If the battery is new, charge it before use. Battery icon will appear after charging a short time.
2) If the battery is deeply discharged, battery icon will appear after charging several minutes and
accompany with a slight sound.
3.2 Battery storage requirements:

2) Storage temperature: -20°C ~ 27°C.
Stay away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
4 Software download
The minimum requirements to perform a software download are as follow:
a) Product with Fully charged battery
b) PC with below configurations
CPU: Pentium 1.6 GHz or above;
RAM: 2GB or above;
Operation system: Windows2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7/8/10
c) USB port
d) Internet connection with minimum internet speed of 8Mb/s
e) Downloading cable (USB cable)
Please use the dedicated software downloading tool (DL Tool) for this product. The version of this tool
at launched of the product is “SUGAR MTK_SP”. Please always use the latest version of the software
downloading tool in order to take advantage of the latest improvements. This DL tool can be
downloaded from support website (CSS/RSH)

4.3 Disassembly process
The steps of disassembly are as below.
Step1: Open the SIM slot cover, take off one screw (set the torques at 0.7kgf.cm if using electric
screw driver, set the torques at 0.8kgf.cm if using manual screw driver), and then remove the back
cover by prying up from down left side of the tablet as following illustrated picture.

Step3: Take off the 6 screws on the tablet PCBAs (set the torques at 0.7kgf.cm if using electric screw
driver, set the torques at 0.8kgf.cm if using manual screw driver):

Note:Speaker can be removed from PCBA by using soldering iron. (Temperature :Lead-free technology
330℃±10℃,time :5~6 seconds)
Step5: Take off 13 screws from Furnished Mid-Frame and then remove the frame (set the torques at
0.7kgf.cm if using electric screw driver, set the torques at 0.8kgf.cm if using manual screw driver).
Battery shall not be separated from Furnished Mid-Frame as it is firmly adhered to the Furnished
Mid-Frame by adhesive. If Furnished Mid-Frame swap is needed, swap Furnished Mid-Frame along
with the battery.

Important notice: The replaced battery shall not be reused.
Step6: Then LCD can be easily taken off from furnished front casing.

4.4 Disassembly Notice:
1) PCB crack could occur if attention was not fully paid when prying up.
2) Hereby, the speaker is a two-in-one component with speaker and receiver function.
3) About battery disassemble notice:
Improper operation on battery will cause high risk for fire or burning. Thus please pay high attention to
the WARNING part.
4) Put all the spare parts on right position (don‟t let all the spare parts mixed and put on the clean place
to avoid vitiated or stained for each spare part) after disassembly.
4.5 Reassembly process
Please make reference to the disassembly process for assembly reverse an order of the disassembly steps.

When assemble, please replace the Conductive Fabric to ensure the parts have passage to
dissipate ESD and are firmly attached in right position.
Before assembling furnished back cover, please check whether there‟s any deformation or damage
for the buckles; if yes, replace it with a new furnished back cover.
