EachinstrumentmanufacturedbyTektronix has a serial numberon a panelinsertor tag, or stamped onthe

This manualis divided into the following sections.
Section 1,Introduction, includesa descriptionof the 2707 External
TrackingGeneratorand liststheaccessoriesand optionsavailablefor it.
Section 2, GettingStarted, includesinformationabout mechanically and
electricallyattachingthe ExternalTracking Generatorto itscontrolling
spectrumanalyzer. This sectionalso describesafunctional check that
you can perform to verify thatthe ExternalTracking Generator is
operating.
Section 3, Operation, describesthe operation of controls, functions of
front and rear panelconnectors, andpowerrequirementsfor the Exter-
nalTracking Generator. Usingthe controllingspectrum analyzer menus
