Drive Harness Kit
Models: T350, Speed Scrub 350
This kit includes the necessary parts to replace a defective drive harness assembly on earlier models. It
includes upgrade parts (items 2- 8) to protect the drive assembly harness from possible damage. Carefully
install the new drive harness kit as instructed.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Installation Time: 1 hour

PREPARE MACHINE FOR KIT INSTALL:
1. Empty the solution and recovery tanks.
2. Park the machine on a level surface and remove key.
3. Disconnect battery cable connector from battery pack.
FOR SAFETY: Before servicing machine, stop on
level surface, turn off machine, remove key and
disconnect battery cables.
4. Remove the left side frame shroud from the machine.
5. Carefully jack up the front of machine at designated
jack locations. Use jack stands to support machine.
REMOVE THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY FROM MACHINE:
1. Remove the four screws and washers securing the
drive assembly to the steering pulley bearing housing.
Save screws and washers for new harness assembly.
2. Unplug the two cable harness connectors and remove
drive wheel assembly from machine.
3. Remove the wheel from the drive assembly.
Save screw for reuse.
REMOVE THE OLD DRIVE HARNESS ASSEMBLY
FROM THE DRIVE MOTOR:
1. Remove the three hex screws securing the brake
assembly to drive motor. Remove the brake assembly.
Save hardware.

2. Remove the retaining ring from the motor shaft. Then
remove the collar and key from shaft. Do not misplace
the collar, key and retaining ring.
3. Remove the two screws securing the carbon brush
plate to the motor. Remove plate as shown. Save
hardware.

4. Discard the old drive harness assembly.

INSTALL THE NEW DRIVE HARNESS KIT TO DRIVE
MOTOR:
1. Clean the carbon brush dust from inside the drive
motor with compressed air.
2. Repeat the previous steps in reverser order to install
the new drive harness assembly.
NOTE: When installing the new carbon brush plate on
the motor, you must push the four carbon brushes
outward to allow clearance over the shaft rotor. This is
done by using four small standard screwdrivers or
something similar as shown below.
PRE- ASSEMBLE THE UPGRADE PARTS TO THE NEW
DRIVE HARNESS ASSEMBLY:
1. Wrap the conduit around the drive motor harnesses
and secure it with cable- ties as shown.
2. Attach the harness support hardware to the conduit
harness as shown. Make sure the bracket orientation
is positioned on the harness as shown.

REINSTALL THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY:
1. Attach the harness support bracket when reinstalling
the drive assembly as shown. Use existing hardware.
Torque screws to 21 Nm (15 ft lb).

2. Route the cable harness as shown to allow for proper
clearance.

3. Plug the two connectors into the machine harness and
secure with cable- ties.
4. Re- install wheel on new drive assembly. Use existing
screw. Torque screw to 21 Nm (15 ft lb).
5. Replace the left side frame shroud and reconnect
batteries.
6. Test machine for proper operation.
