Tools Needed –Phillips Head Screwdriver, 7/16
Wrench or Pliers or Adjustable Wrench. Flat surface
to work on (table preferred)
Parts List-
1 Fabric Mat
4 lengths of PVC or Alum slotted pipe (2 long & 2
short)
4 PVC or Alum legs
4 top corners –4 bottom corners
4 leg caps, 8 machine screws & 8 locknuts
4 pieces white plastic cording (shipped inside bed
frame for Ballistic fabrics)
NOTE: 40 oz Vinyl fabrics have the cording
already encased in outer edge of fabric
XX Large (50 x 35) & X Large (44 x 27) size beds
utilize metal reinforcing pipes which are inside the
long side pipe.
3. Working from underneath, position one top
corner fitting and insert bolt through fitting
and pipe. Place a bottom fitting in
position, secure with a lock nut and hand
tighten. Insert and secure second bolt.
Repeat process at other three corners.
XX Large (50 x 35) & X Large (44 x 27) beds
have reinforcing pipes that may shift inside
frame during shipping and block a bolt hole.
Tap frame on floor or use a hammer &
screwdriver to centre the pipe between holes.
1. Lay fabric flat with underside facing up and
insert cording into sleeves. See note above for
new heat welded fabrics.
2. Insert fabric sleeves into the channel on each
length of pipe.
4. Place rubber caps on legs and insert legs
into corners. Turn bed over and tighten
each bolt and nut on each corner.
NOTE: TIGHTEN PROPERLY –correct
tightening will leave end of bolt flush with the
nuts’ white nylon locking material.
INSUFFICIENT OR OVER TIGHTENING OF
THE CORNERS MAY RESULT IN
CRACKING.

HOW ARE THE DOG BEDS CHEWPROOF?
Any place the fabric is in aposition to be chewed, it is protected by apoly-resin sleeve.There are no
corner gaps to bite.Once in awhile adog will bite through aleg or side piece but it is quite rare.This
image shows how the fabric fits into the frame of the bed so your dog cannot reach the fabric.Caution:
Fabrics are vulnerable to tearing by persistently scratching or digging dogs.
KURANDA DOG BEDS ARE GUARANTEED CHEWPROOF FOR ONE FULL YEAR!
Kuranda guarantees the structural integrity of the frames and fabrics of their dog beds against chewing
by adog for aperiod of one year from date of purchase.Accordingly, Kuranda will replace frame parts
and fabric damaged by dogs chewing the bed only to the point of not being useable at no charge during
this period.This warranty excludes damage caused by dogs scratching the fabric.This warranty
includes chewing of corner fittings and legs.Fabrics covered under this guarantee by chewing only are
40 oz solid vinyl and Ballistic nylon.Multiple fabric replacements for the same bed will be handled on a
case by case basis.
Product Advisory (on PVC corners only)
Please be aware that we have found that over tightening the screws on the corners of the beds (even
by just one or two full threads) can cause enough added stress that the corner pieces may fail. To
maximize the life of the corner fittings, the screw should be flush with or slightly inside the nylon locking
material in the nut.
