The raidal Euromel extractor is the ideal
tool for any beekeeper with iver 100 hives.
It is equipped with an electronically variable
speed geared motor and a pre-programmed
acceleration ramp limiting frame breakage.
Its transparent half-cover (1) allows to monitor
the progress of the extraction process.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION : Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure that the
electrical installation complies with current standards (protection by earth leakage
circuit breaker, earth wire, etc.).
Check the supply voltage.
Before using the unit for the first time, clean the unit to remove any residual chips or
filings.
Read the entire guide before starting the setup.
Fix the appliance to the floor (the feet have holes for this purpose).
Do not allow honey to rise above the tube in the centre of the tank.
Always work with the tap open.
In case of unbalance reduce the speed slightly, if the unbalance persists, stop the
extractor and proceed to rebalance the cage.
Do not allow honey to enter the safety head (2).

The unit is equipped with a lid locking device. The lid can be unlocked manually. To do
so, loosen the screw (A) and then turn the arrow (B) to the "open padlock" position.
This prevents the machine from being started and allows the cover to be opened in the
event of power failure or faulty safety.
In order to start the extractor, the boom must be returned to the "padlock closed"
position.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Three models of machines are available according to their capacity:
- Ref. 1123: 24 ½ all sizes or Langstroth frames
- Ref. 1128: 36 ½ frames
- Ref. 1130: 44 ½ frames
- Ref. 1131 : 54 ½ frames
The frames are arranged in housings within the stainless steel cage. The spacing of this
cage is adjustable by sliding on the axis. The frames are placed in the direction of the
radius. Both sides are extracted simultaneously.
The total height of the machine is adjustable by means of its feet.
PRINCIPE DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Installation
Equip the tank with the valve :
- Apply Teflon® tape to the threaded part.
- Screw the valve onto the tank outlet (4).
Setup
The device is operated via a box attached to the top of the device (4).
It is equipped with a "POWER ON" switch, ON and OFF buttons (controlling the electronic
starting and braking of the machine) and a graduated potentiometer for adjusting the
speed (5).
The machine also has a pre-set programmable acceleration ramp (see enclosed drive
manual).
Connect the machine to the mains.

Turn on the power by pressing the green POWER button and making sure that the red
OFF button is unlocked.
Open the cover (1) (for safety reasons, the cover cannot be opened while the instrument
is switched off or in operation).
Load the frames by balancing the extractor cage as well as possible.
Close the cover.
Press the ON button.
The drive is programmed to reach its maximum speed in 4 minutes (maximum speed in
position 10). It is possible to reduce the speed of the extractor at any time.
Stop and opening.
To stop the machine, press the STOP button. To unlock the STOP switch, turn the knob
slightly to the right.
Wait for the cage to come to a complete stop.
Wait until the unlocking click to open the machine.
MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance
CAUTION: Unplug the machine before any maintenance operation.
Clean with hot water.
Protect the electric parts when cleaning.
The Euromel extractor is a seasonal equipment but must run all year long (at least a
couple minutes a month).
Store in a dry place, tap open.
At the end of the season
Clean with hot water and a sponge. Do not let the water go higher than the honey outlet.
Run the machine to dry it.
Stop the machine and dry it if needed.
Store preferably in a dry place.

Problem Possible solution
The machine does not start
- Check that the unit is connected to the power supply.
- Check the power supply (power failure).
- Check that the safety head (2) is not dirty. If it is, remove it
and soak it in hot water.
- Check that the potentiometer (8) is not set to 0.
- Check that the circuit breaker button inside the housing
(3) is set to ON.
- Check that the "Low speed" and "High speed" timers are
not both set to 0.
- Check that the arrow (B) on the lid lock is in the "padlock
closed" position.
The device vibrates too much
-Check that the frames are correctly positioned and
balanced.
- If necessary, take them out and re-balance the assembly.
The machine is having problems
running
- Check that the honey is well evacuated from the
extractor.
- Check that the bearings and the topping are in good
condition and lubricate them.
- Check that the motor shaft is properly engaged in the
cage shaft. If necessary, tighten the nut located under the
cage.
