FleetBroadband – Voice mail.
Subject:
This document describes how to set up a Voice Mail on the
BGAN/FleetBroadband network for the Sailor FleetBroadband 500 and Sailor
FleetBroadband 250.
NOTE: The SIM card must support Voice Mail service, if not please contact your
Airtime Provider for further details related to the SIM card and subscription.
Priority:

Initial information:
The Voice Mail number on the SIM card can be found in the Web Interface here
(If not contact your Airtime Provider):
1. Open the Web interface of the Sailor 500/250 FleetBroadband via a
browser and enter the IP address (standard IP address is 192.168.0.1).

2. Select MESSAGES.

4. Verify the Voice mail number.
Procedure for setting up:
1. First, the Voice mail has to be activated. This is done by dialling into 57#
or +00870772001899#.
2. Follow the verbal procedure from the network machine (NM):
NM: “Good morning/afternoon/evening. Before you can use your mailbox,
you have to do some initial settings.”
NM: “Let us do that now. Please enter your new PIN followed by the pound
key. Your PIN must be 4 digits. If you make a mistake, press star 3 to start
again.”
User action (UA): Enter PIN number of own choice, followed by the pound
key (#).
NM: “Enter it again please.”
UA: Re-type the PIN number.
NM: “Your PIN has been changed. To start using your mailbox, you must
record your name. Let’s do that now. Press the pound key when you have
finished.”
UA: Record your name and then press the pound key (#).
NM: “If you’re happy with the recording, press 1. To hear it, press 2. To re-
record your name, press 3.”
UA: Press 1 to continue, assuming that the recording is OK.

NM: “Okay, name recorded. To start using your mailbox you must record the
greeting for all calls. Let’s do that now. Press the pound key when you have
finished.”
UA: Record your greeting message and then press the pound key (#).
NM: “To use this greeting, press 1. To hear it, press 2. To re-record the
greeting, press 3.
UA: Press 1 to continue, assuming that the recording is OK.
NM: “This greeting is now active. Welcome to messaging services. No new
messages. No saved messages. Main menu. To work with your greetings,
press 3. To change your mailbox settings, press 4. If you need more time,
press 8.”
UA: Disconnect the call.
3. The Voice Mail greeting is activated, and the FleetBroadband can now
receive messages when busy or not powered On.
4. When a voicemail is received, the network will send an SMS message to
the FleetBroadband as information. Dial the short code 57# or
00870772001899# to pick up your voice mail message.
