TITANALARM PANEL
INTRODUCTION
TheTITANAlarmPanelispart ofauniquelighting/ securitysystemfor homeor
business use. Theunit isdesigned toprotect yourproperty, servingasabasic
alarmsystemandalsowiththeadditionofaTITANBell PushTransmitter adoor
chimeunit. Inadditiontothebell pushtheTITANalarmpaneliscompatiblewith
theTITANwireless PIRDetector andwireless MagneticContact Detector. In
alarmmode whentriggered bythelatter twotransmittersthe110 decibelsirenwill
sound. TheBell Pushwill trigger achimealert wheninchimemode.
Note:Please readthisentiremanual beforeyoustarttoinstall thesystem.
LOADINGTHEBATTERIES
Theunit requiresfourAA sizebatteries. Toinstall thebatteries:
1.Openthebatterycover. (FIGURE1)
2.Insert fourAA batteriesensuringcorrect polarity.
3.Refit thebatterycover.
If duringusetheLowBatteryLED flasheseverythree seconds,the batteriesneed tobe
replaced.Average batterylifefor typicalusage issixmonths,subjecttoalkalinebatteries
beingused.
CHOOSINGAMOUNTINGLOCATION
l DONOTfixtheunitontometalworkor within1mof metalwork(i.e.radiator,water pipesetc)asthiscouldaffectthereceipt
ofsignalsfromTITANtransmitters.
l DO NOTlocatetheunit directlyaboveaheat source(e.g. fire, radiator, boiler etc).
l DO NOTexposetheunit totheweather or liquids. Theunit isnot weather proof.
Consider thefollowingpointswhenchoosingamountinglocation. Locatetheunit:
1) Withinaprotected area whenthesystemisset, i.e.anintruder shouldnotbe abletoreachtheunitwithoutatransmitter
detector beingtriggered.
2) Inapositionwhere it isnot visiblefromexternaldoorsor windows.
3) Inaneasilyaccessiblepositionbetween1.5mand2.0mabovefloor level.
Theunit shouldbe fixed usingtwoscrews50mm apart. Thescrewheadsshouldbe left proudtoallowtheunit tobe attached
usingthetwokeyholeslotsat therear oftheunit.
FIRST TIMEPOWERUP
Theunit iscapableofholdinguptotwelveTITANtransmitter
codes. Onfirst timepower upnocodeswill be stored. To
indicatethistheStatusLEDwill flashonandoff everythree
seconds.
Thefactorydefault 4-digit securitycode isset to1234 (Notethat
ifthebatteriesare removed or allowed torun flat theunit will
default back tothefactory4-digit securitycode of1234).
It isimportant tochange thefactory4-digit securitycode of1234
toyourownpersonalcode. Todo thisproceed asfollows:
1) Keyinthefactory4-digit securitycode 1234
2) Press key6
3) Enter yournewpersonal4-digit code (usinganycombinationofkeys 0to9)
4) Press key6again
Yourpersonal4-digit code isnowset andshouldbe used for anyfurther actions. (Notethisprocess must be completed within
15 seconds. Ifyoumakeamistakeor run out oftimetheunit will revert back tothefactory4-digit securitycode 1234).

a) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode
b) Presskey Ý(theunitisnowinlearningmode andwillremainsofor thirtyseconds, theStatusandLowBatteryLEDs
will flashtoindicatethis)
c)Oncetheunitisinlearningmode activatethelearning mode for theTITANtransmitter youwishtheTITANAlarm
Paneltolearnfrom. Refer totheinstructionsfor eachtype oftransmitter inorder todo this. Duringlearningmode the

maximumoftwelveseparatetransmitters.
· Ifyoumakeanerror duringthecode learningsequence, or youwishtoclear theentire memoryoftheTITANAlarmPanel
for another reasonproceed asfollows:
1) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode
2) Press key#(theunit will nowaccept code clearance, theStatusandLowBatteryLED’swill flashtoindicatethis)
3) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode again
4) Press key#again
ARMING/DISARMINGALARMPANEL
Twoarmingmodesare availableinstantandentrydelay.Ifsettoinstantthealarmwillsoundthesirenimmediatelyacoded
TITANtransmitter istriggered. Ifset toentrydelaythealarm will soundthesirenfifteensecondsafter acoded TITANtransmitter
istriggered. Theentrydelaymode isthemost commonused. Bothmodeshaveafifteensecondexit delay.
Ifyoudo wishtoarm thealarm ininstantmodeproceedas follows:
1) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode
2) Press key1(after thefifteensecondexitdelaythealarmwill be armed) duringtheexitdelaythealarmwillbleep andthe
statusLEDwill flash.
To arm thealarm inentrydelay modeproceedas follows:
1) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode
2) Presskey2(after thefifteen-second-exitdelaythealarmwill be armed) duringtheexitdelaythealarmwillbleep andthe
statusLEDwill flash.
To disarm thealarm proceedas follows:
1) Keyinyour4-digit securitycode
2) Press key4.
· Ifthealarmistriggered thesirenwillsoundfor thirtyseconds,be silentfor tenseconds,repeated for tencyclesor untilthe
alarmisdisarmed.
· Ifacode entryerrorismade theLowBatteryLEDwillflashandthealarmwillemitthreebeeps.Ifthreeconsecutivecode
entryerrorsare made thekeypad will be disabled for thirtysecondsor until thesirensequencehasended.
OTHERFEATURES
1) Thedefault keypad toneison. Toturnthekeypad toneoff, or back on, keyinyour4-digit securitycode thenpress key8.
2) Thealarmcanbe used asadoor chime.Thisfunctionwillonlyworkwhenthealarmisdisarmed.Toturnthechimeonkeyin
your4-digit securitycode thenpress key3. Toturnthechimeoff keyinyour4-digit securitycode thenpress key4.
Inchimemode thealarmwillemitatwo-tonesoundwhenaTITANtransmitter triggersthealarmincludingtheTITANBell Push
Transmitter.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit will not learncodesor doesnot respondtoTITAN
transmitters:
l Check polarityofbatteries.
l Batterieslowor flat.
l Ensure transmitter isworkingandwithinrange.
Unit sirenvolumeweak:
l Batterieslow.
