Charging your solar powered battery pack using a USB wall, USB car or USB Computer port:
Charge your battery to full capacity. Using the micro cable provided, connect the cable to the middle port
between the two USB outputs (see illustration on page 4). Connect the other end of the cable to your
computer’s USB port, a wall charger (optional) or car charger (included).
• It will take 4-6 hours to fully charge your TT-SOLAR battery pack from a wall outlet or computer.
Replenish your solar battery pack via sunlight:
To charge the battery using the solar panels, expose the face of the solar panel to sunlight (solar indicators
will begin to ash green). The time required to fully charge the battery will depend on the quality of available
sunlight – the stronger the sunlight, the faster the charge. You can also charge the solar battery through
incandescent light; however, indoor lighting only gives 1/10th the power of direct sunlight.
Solar battery replenishing time:
• 50%-100% = 6hrs
• 75%-100% = 4hrs

To check that your TT-SOLAR is fully charged, press the power button – the blue power level indicator will
light 25%-100%. If all lights are blue on the power level indicators, battery has a full charge.
• When all 4 LED lights are on = 100% battery charge
• When only 3 LED lights are on = 75% battery charge
• When only 2 LED lights are on = 50% battery charge
• When only 1 LED light is on = 25% or less battery charge

Charging your portable devices
• Using your USB charging cable that came with your phone, plug it into the USB I or USB S port (see
illustration under “Using optimized USB ports” on page 8).
• The Micro USB charging cable included in the box can also be used with your devices that use Micro USB
to charge.
• Hold the power button for 3-5 seconds until the LED light comes on.
• To shut off the device, press down the power button for 3-5 seconds until the LED light turns off.

USING THE OPTIMIZED USB PORTS
Charging your portable devices
The two ports are labeled as USB I and USB S.
USB S is optimized for charging Android, Blackberry and windows Smartphones and tablets. It will also charge
iPods and iPhones but at a slightly lower rate. An iPad will not charge from this port.
USBI is optimized for optimal charging of Apple devices including iPads. It will also charge Android and other devices.
For all other USB devices not mentioned above the best performance will be achieved using the USBS charge port.
The high powered TT-SOLAR battery pack is designed for both USB ports to be used at the same time. Either
port will provide up to 2.1 Amp to a single device. When two devices are plugged in at the same time the
output will be 1 Amp each.

1) Slide the battery into the ToughTested®case.
2) Tuck the top flap of the case behind the battery.
3) Slide the ToughTested®case into the window/dashboard mount.
4) Make sure the solar panel faces outward so it’s able to charge.

10 SAFETY & GENERAL INFORMATION
1). Please read this user manual carefully and follow all instructions.
2). To avoid any damage or malfunction, DO NOT drop device from high places.
3). Keep device away from humidity, water or any other liquid. To avoid electrical shock, explosion, and injury
to the device or yourself, DO NOT operate the device if it is exposed to moisture or any form of liquid.
4). Keep away from children.
5). Do not place or keep this device near any heat sources – such as direct sunlight or extreme heat,
radiators, stoves or any other apparatus that produces heat – as this may cause an explosion, diminish the
device’s performance and/or reduce the battery life.
6). DO NOT leave device exposed for prolonged periods in a hot car.
7). DO NOT modify, repair or disassemble device, especially the battery – doing so will void the warranty.
8). DO NOT place heavy objects on the device.
9). Unplug this device during lightning storms.
10).The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated.
FOR BEST RESULTS, TURN THE BATTERY OFF WHEN NOT IN USE.

12 CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE WINDSHIELD MOUNT/DASHBOARD MOUNT
Three suction cups:
To keep the suction cups adhered to the window, follow these simple maintenance instructions:
• Remove the mount from the windshield surface that it is on.
• Remove oil and dirt from the suction cups using a wet, soapy cloth.
• Dry the suction cups with a dry, lint-free cloth.
• Using a wet, soapy cloth, clean the surface that the suctions cups were stuck to, removing all traces of dirt
or oil. A dirty surface prevents the suction cups from sealing airtight.
• Rinse the soapy water off of the surface and then dry it with a lint-free towel.
Dashboard sticky mount:
• Remove the mount from the dashboard
• Dampen a cloth with warm water, wring it out, and then wipe the sticky pad.
• Dry with a lint-free cloth.
• Allow the sticky pad to air-dry completely before using it.
• Before placing the mount back on the dashboard, clean the dashboard with a lint-free cloth to remove any
dirt or residue.
Solar battery and panel maintenance:
• It is best to shut the battery off when not in use.
Cleaning the solar panel:
• With a dry, lint-free cloth, lightly wipe the surface to remove any dirt or dust.
• TO AVOID DAMAGE, DO NOT CLEAN THE SOLAR PANEL WITH HARD MATERIALS OR LIQUIDS.

Chargement de votre bloc-piles à énergie solaire via un port USB mural, dans une voiture
ou sur un ordinateur :
Chargez votre bloc-piles à sa pleine capacité. Branchez une extrémité du micro-câble fourni dans le port
INPUT situé entre les deux sorties USB (voir l’illustration à la page 4). Branchez l’autre extrémité du câble dans
un port USB sur votre ordinateur, sur un chargeur mural (facultatif) ou le chargeur pour la voiture (fourni).
• Il faut compter de 4 à 6 heures pour charger complètement votre bloc-piles TT-SOLAR via une prise murale
ou un ordinateur.
Chargement de votre bloc-piles via la lumière du soleil :
Pour charger le bloc-piles via le panneau solaire, exposez le panneau à la lumière du soleil (les témoins
lumineux commenceront à clignoter en vert). Le temps nécessaire pour une charge complète dépendra de
la qualité de l’ensoleillement – plus la lumière du soleil sera forte, plus la charge sera rapide. Vous pouvez
également le charger à partir d’une lumière incandescente; cependant, un éclairage intérieur ne procure que
le dixième environ de la puissance de la lumière directe du soleil.
Temps de recharge du bloc-piles solaire :
• 50%-100% = 6 h
• 75%-100% = 4 h
