Manual

STEP 1
Let’s start building your new simracing rig!
Lay out all the individual parts as shown below.
Note: this parts list doesn’t include the wheel mount
the TR80-80WM-BLK wheel mount is displayed later on in this build.
For more detailed instructions on other wheel mounts please use below manuals:
TR160-DDM / TR160-FANDDM.
Optional: on our YouTube Channel (Trak Racer) is a quick assembly guide available.
3
STEP 2
Attach the feet on the main beams and add the pictured parts as shown below.
Note: remove the red striping those will be added later on after we are done building.
STEP 3
Add the following parts as shown below.
Note: distance = 560mm / 22.04 inch measured from the outer sides of the profiles.
Slide in 2x extra T-Nuts on top of each 500mm profile. (Used in step 4)
4
Note: make sure to break off the taps in the corner brackets with a flat screwdriver if
they don’t sit flush on the aluminum profile as shown below.
5
STEP 4
Add 2 profiles on top of the existing square as shown below.
Tip: don’t fully tighten the brackets yet so you can still finetune the position once the
slider and seat are installed.
After adding the parts in step 4 your build should look like this:
6
STEP 5
Add the seat slider and brackets as shown below.
Additional information on this step can be found on page 18.
After fitting the leaver, test if the rails can slide easily without any rubbing.
Note:If you are a tall person its advised to mount the rails as shown below. If you are
short person its advised to mount the rails on the most forward end of the profile.
Start with placing the rails with the flat side upwards and the metal protrusions facing
inwards. The leaver should be pulled upwards to unlock the rails.
Now slightly fasten the front bolt of the rails just enough to keep it in position but
allow the rails to swivel at the back slightly to align the back bolt without any tension.
Now use a screwdriver (or the leaver) on the metal protrusions on the inside to slide
the rails forward to gain acces to the back bolt, now fully tighten the back bolt.
If that bolt is tightend slide the rails backwards again to regain acces to the front bolt
and fully tighten it. After fully tightening the rails, bring the rails back to the neutral
position and mount the other side in the same way.
After both rails are in neutral position and tightend, its time to add the leaver.
The leaver needs to be bend outwards a bit further than the actual width of both rails.
Now place one side with the holes in the protrusions with the other side just above
the rails and apply a bit of force inwards to overcome the resilience, now allign the
leaver with the other end of the rails protrusions.
If the leaver is placed and it unlocks/locks the rails correctly continue mounting the
seatbrackets.
7
STEP 6
After fitting the leaver, test if the rails can slide easily as shown below.
STEP 7
Now attach the seat (GT style shown below) to the bracket and test if you can freely
adjust your seating position with the leaver. If this doesn’t go smooth realign the seat
brackets or the bottom profiles and try again until it slides smoothly.
Note:bolts that came with the seat need to be used
8
STEP 8
Add the wheelmount support as shown below.
Note: the distance from the wheel to your seat is personal preference.
STEP 9
After tightening the upright profiles lay down following parts as shown below.
Note: this is the standard wheelmount TR80-80WM
9
STEP 10
Attach the wheelmount to the frame.
Note: add 8x smaller silver t-nuts facing the seat in total, 4 on each groove.
no washers are needed on the 80 x 40mm bracket.
STEP 11
Attach the 2 metal plates using the 8 silver smaller pre-installed nuts.
Note: don’t fully tighten all bolts until step 13 is completed and the wheelmount is in
the desired position.
10
STEP 12
Attach the adjustment plates to the inside of the already installed plates on the
profile.
STEP 13
Attach the wheel mount plate to the adjustment brackets as shown below.
11
Before fully tightening the wheelmount see below for adjustability options.
Note: adjusting can also be done with the wheelbase mounted.
STEP 14
Add the shifter profile as shown below.
Note: Right side is illustrated but you could also choose to mount it on the left side.
The height of the shiftermount is personal preference.
12
STEP 15
Add the shiftermount as shown below.
Note: 4x M8x20 bolts should be used to mount the shiftermount to the L shaped
bracket. 4x M8x16 is used to secure the L shaped bracket to the profile.
The shiftermount can be adjusted to your preference as shown below.
13
STEP 16
Add illustrated parts as shown below.
Note: The distance can be adjusted towards you personal preference on a later stage
in this build if needed. For a rough measurement go sit in the seat with your knee’s at
a 90 degree angle. The upright profiles should be roughly positioned next to your
anckle’s.
STEP 17
Add the pictured parts to complete the bottom frame as shown below.
14
STEP 18
Add the side structure of the pedalplate each side at a time like shown below.
Note: only 2 silver inserts should be used on the upright facing profile and don’t fully
tighten the bolts to the upfacing profiles to keep them adjustable in height.
(packaging will have 4 silver inserts in total extra)
Use the 4x M8*20 bolts to secure the Trak Racer branded brackets
Use the 4x M8*16 to attach the knee joints to the profiles
STEP 19
Now slide in the nuts to attach the middle profiles.
Note: Add 3x extra T-Nuts facing upwards on the each profile. (6x total)
(will be used in step 20)
15
STEP 20
Add the pedalplate as shown below.
The pedalplate can be adjusted towards your likings as shown below.
16
Almost there!
Now its time to personalize the seating/wheelmount and pedalplate towards your
personal preference. Every component can be adjusted as shown below.
STEP 21
When you are done adjusting, add the red striping.
Note: you need to cut the red striping on several points in order for it to fit your
custom adjustments.
STEP 22
Add end caps on the outer ends of the profile and brackets.
17
That’s it, you are done!
We wish you a lot of fun with your freshly built simulator.
Thank you for choosing Trak Racer.
