7. Operation for IP39-80
7.1 Making a Call
7.1.1 Dialing a Number
To make a call by dialing the number on the Dial Keypad:
(1) Lift the handset or press the [SPK] key, the dial tone will be heard.
(2) Dial the telephone number.
(3) Press the [ # ] key to send out the telephone number immediately, or
wait for a few seconds.
7.1.2 DSS Direct Dial
The DSS feature of the IP39-80 must be set up before the user can use it.
The [DSS/BLF] buttons indicates the status of the assigned stations (online,
offline, busy, or idle). The user can call that station by simply pressing the
respective [DSS/BLF] button.
7.1.3 Last Number Redial
The IP39-80 automatically stores the last dialed number.
To call that number again, follow the steps below:
(1) Lift the handset or press the [SPK] key, and wait for the dial tone.
(2) Press the [Redial] key to call the last dialed number.
7.2 Receiving Calls
7.2.1 Answer
When the IP39-80 is ringing, the user can answer the call.
(1) Picking up the handset to answer the call directly.
(2) Or press the [SPK] key to answer the call in Handsfree mode.

7.2.2 Call Pickup
This feature allows a user to answer a call ringing at another station.As
extensions are assigned into different groups, Call Pickup can be done in two
different ways:
■Pick up a call in the same group:
(1) Lift the handset or press the [SPK] key.
(2) Dial [*0 ] to answer for another station.
■Pick up a call in other groups:
(1) Lift the handset or press the [SPK] key.
(2) Dial [*9 ], then
(3) Dial the [group code] (01 to xx) to pickup a call.
7.3 Hold & Call Transfer
7.3.1 Hold & Retrieve Held Call
(1) Press the [HOLD] key while on a call to hold the call. The held
caller will hear music from the PBX.
(2) Press the [HOLD] key again to retrieve the held call.
(3) To hang up the handset when a call is on hold, the user can dial
numbers to reconnect the held caller.
7.3.2 Call Transfer
(1) Press the [HOLD] key on a call to hold the call. The held caller will
hear music from the PBX.
(2) Dial the extension number of the transfer destination to make a call to
it.
(3) Ring back tone heard and waiting for answering, the user can:
A. Wait until answered, claim the transference, and then press the

[TRF/FL] key or On hook to transfer the call. If the
transference is declined, the user can press the [HOLD] key
to resume conversation with the held caller. Or…
B. Press the [TRF/FL] key or On hook to immediately transfer
the call.
7.4 During Conversation
7.4.1 Mute
When having conversation via the handset or in Handsfree mode, the user
can press the [MIC] key to activate or deactivate this feature. The status
of the LED light will also change as follows:
Red light steadily on:
The microphone is muted.
Red light off:
The microphone is working properly.
7.4.2 Handset & Handsfree Modes Switch
(1) When talking on the handset, press the [SPK] key to have its
LED light On steadily, and then hang up the handset to switch to
Handsfree mode.
(2) When talking in Handsfree mode, lift the handset to switch to handset
for talking. The LED light of the [SPK] key goes off.
7.4.3 Volume Adjustment
When talking on the handset or Handsfree mode, pressing the [Down]
key will turn down the volume of the speaker (on the handset or on the
phone), while pressing the [Up] key will turn up the volume.

7.4.4 Three-way Conference
(1) Establish a call with partyA. Press the [ Hold ] key to place partyA
on hold.
(2) Establish a call with party B, and press [ CNF] key. Party A, B
and the caller are now in a three-way conference.
(3) Hang up the phone to end the conference.

You have to set your SIP account like username, password and domain/IP
address then Apply for first time NGT app running.

Press then to change more parameters of SIP setting. Press
Exit after finished.
Press [Account] then choice account you want to setup.

Press [Audio] then choice Echo cancellation to Enable or Disable echo cancel
function.
Press [Audio] then choice Echo cancellation calibration for echo cancellation
testing.
Press [Audio] then choice Codecs for more setting of codec.

Press [Video] then Enable or Disable functions of video by choosing Video
Initiate video calls /Accept incoming video requests
Press [Video] then choice codec for video supported

Press [Video] then choice Preferred video size for video size selected (720p is
not recommended).
Press [Advance] then choice Call to select DTMF relay mode for SIP INFO

Press [Advance] then choice Network. They are 9 Item and listed as follows:
