Introduction
This manual is intended for users of the ‘TRUST 4 PORT COMPACT
USB HUB‘. The TRUST 4 PORT COMPACT USB HUB can be used
to expand the number of USB ports to your desktop PC or notebook.
It allows you to simply connect extra USB peripherals, such as your
USB camera or USB joystick, to your computer.
Safety
Carefully read the following instructions before use:
1. Do not use the device in damp environments, such as
bathrooms, damp basements, swimming pools, etc.
2. Never put any objects into the slots on the outside of the
device, as you may touch upon elements that are electrically
charged. This may cause a fire or an electric shock.
3. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. When you open
or remove the casing, you might accidentally touch elements
that are electrically charged. Other risks are also involved.
4. Under the following circumstances have the device repaired
by qualified personnel:
a) The cable or plug is damaged or worn;
b) Liquid has entered the device;
c) The device has fallen and/or the casing has been
damaged;
5. Place the device in such a way that the cables cannot be
damaged.
Installation
1. Start up Windows 98, Me or 2000.
2. Connect the USB connecting plug of the included USB cable
to the USB connection of the 4 Port Compact USB Hub.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a free USB port of
your computer.
4. The new hardware will be located and Windows will
automatically install the relevant setup program.
The Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub is ready for use.
External power supply
The Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub can be connected to an external
adapter of 5VDC / 2.0A max (not included). You may use the power
supply connection if your are using different heavy USB devices that
use a lot of power, such as USB scanners and USB printers.
1. See the product label at the bottom of the USB Hub for the
specs of the power supply connection.

Diese Anleitung wendet sich an die Benutzer des TRUST 4 PORT
COMPACT USB HUB. Der TRUST 4 PORT COMPACT USB HUB
wird zur Erweiterung der Anzahl an USB-Ports Ihres Desktop-
Computers oder Notebooks verwendet. Sie können damit ganz
einfach externe USB-Geräte, wie zum Beispiel eine USB-Kamera
oder einen USB-Joystick, an den Computer anschließen.
Sicherheitshinweise
Lesen Sie sich die folgenden Hinweise vor der Benutzung gut durch:
1. Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in feuchten Umgebungen wie
Badezimmern, feuchten Kellerräumen, Swimmingpools usw.
2. Stecken Sie niemals Gegenstände in die
Gehäuseöffnungen. Sie könnten spannungsführende Teile
berühren. Dies kann zu Brand oder elektrischen Schlägen
führen.
3. Führen Sie keine Reparaturen an diesem Gerät aus. Wenn
Sie das Gehäuse öffnen oder abnehmen, können Sie

Installation
1. Starten Sie Windows 98, ME oder 2000.
2. Schließen Sie den USB-Anschlussstecker des mitgelieferten
USB-Kabels an den USB-Anschluss des 4 Port Compact USB
Hub an.
3. Schließen das andere Ende des USB-Kabels an einen freien
USB-Port des Computers an.
4. Die neue Hardware wird gefunden und der zugehörige Treiber
wird von Windows automatisch installiert.
Der Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub ist betriebsbereit.
Externe Speisung
Der verfügt über einen Anschluss für einen externen Netzadapter von
max. 5 V- / 2,0 A (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Diesen
Netzadapteranschluss können Sie verwenden, wenn Sie mehrere
USB-Geräte mit hohem Stromverbrauch einsetzen, wie zum Beispiel
USB-Scanner und USB-Drucker.

Introduction
Ce manuel est destiné aux utilisateurs du ‘TRUST 4 PORT
COMPACT USB HUB‘. Le TRUST 4 PORT COMPACT USB HUB
permet de multiplier le nombre de ports USB sur votre PC de bureau
ou portable. Vous pouvez ainsi connecter facilement vos appareils
USB (caméra USB ou joystick USB par exemple) à l’avant de votre
ordinateur.
Sécurité
Avant utilisation, lisez attentivement les indications suivantes :
1. N’utilisez pas cet appareil dans un environnement humide tel
que salles de bains, caves humides, piscines etc.
2. N’introduisez jamais d’objets dans les ouvertures de
l’appareil, vous risqueriez de toucher des pièces sous
tension. Ceci peut provoquer des flammes ou des chocs
électriques.
3. Ne réparez pas cet appareil vous-même. En ouvrant
l’appareil, vous risquez de toucher des pièces sous tension.
Vous courez également d’autres risques.
4. Débranchez l’appareil et faites appel à un technicien
réparateur qualifié lorsque survient un des cas suivants :
a) le cordon électrique ou la fiche est détérioré(e) ou
usé(e) ;
b) du liquide a été versé dans l'appareil ;
c) l’appareil a été endommagé suite à une chute ou son
boîtier a été abîmé ;
5. Placez l'appareil de manière à ce que les câbles ne puissent
pas être endommagés.
Installation
1. Démarrez Windows 98, Me ou 2000.
2. Branchez la prise USB du câble USB fourni sur le port USB
du 4 Port Compact USB Hub.
3. Branchez l’autre extrémité du câble USB sur un port USB libre
de votre PC.
4. Le nouveau hardware est détecté et Windows installe
automatiquement le pilote correspondant.
Le Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub est prêt à l’emploi.
Alimentation externe
Le Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub a une connexion pour un
adaptateur d’alimentation externe de 5VDC / 2.0A max (non fourni)
Vous pouvez utiliser cette prise d’alimentation si vous avez plusieurs

Introduzione
Questo manuale è destinato agli utenti del prodotto "TRUST 4 PORT
DIRECT COMPACT USB HUB". Con il prodotto "TRUST 4 PORT
COMPACT USB HUB" è possibile espandere il numero delle porte
USB del computer desktop o del portatile. In tal modo sarà possibile
collegare al computer le apparecchiature USB esterne, come per es.
una videocamera USB o un joystick USB.
Norme di sicurezza
Leggere attentamente le seguenti istruzioni prima di mettere in
funzione il prodotto:
1. Non utilizzare l'apparecchiatura in ambienti umidi, come
bagni, cantine, piscine ecc.
2. Non inserire oggetti nelle fessure presenti sulla parte esterna
dell'apparecchiatura, poiché si potrebbero toccare parti che
si trovano sotto tensione. Ciò può provocare incendi o shock
elettrici.
3. Non tentare di riparare da soli l'apparecchio. Quando si apre
o si toglie l'alloggiamento, è possibile entrare
inavvertitamente in contatto con parti in cui è presente
elettricità. Inoltre si corrono anche altri rischi.
4. Qualora si verificasse uno dei casi descritti di seguito, far

a) il cavo o la spina sono danneggiati o usurati;
b) sono penetrati dei liquidi all'interno dell'apparecchio;
c) l'apparecchio è caduto e/o l'alloggiamento si è
danneggiato.
5. Posizionare l'apparecchio in modo che i cavi non possano
danneggiarsi.
Installazione
1. Avviare Windows 98, Me o 2000.
2. Collegare lo spinotto di collegamento del cavo USB fornito in
dotazione al prodotto alla porta USB del prodotto 4 Port
Compact USB Hub.
3. Collegare l'altro capo del cavo USB in una porta USB
disponibile del computer.
4. Windows rileverà il nuovo componente hardware e
provvederà a installare automaticamente il relativo driver.
Il dispositivo Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub è adesso pronto per
l'uso.
Alimentazione esterna
Il prodotto Trust 4 Port Compact USB Hub è dotato di una presa per
alimentatore esterno da 5 V CC / 2.0A max (non fornito in dotazione).
È possibile utilizzare questa presa per l'alimentazione nel caso in cui
si disponga di apparecchiature USB a elevato consumo di energia,
quali per es. scanner o stampanti USB.

para ampliar el número de puertos ISB de su PC de sobremesa
(desktop) o portátil (notebook). De esta forma, usted puede conectar
muy fácilmente sus aparatos USB externos como, por ejemplo, su
cámara USB o su joystick USB.
1 Normas de seguridad
Antes de utilizar el producto, lea detenidamente las siguientes
instrucciones:
1. No utilice este aparato en lugares húmedos como cuartos de
baño, sótanos húmedos, piscinas, etc.
2. Nunca introduzca objetos en las ranuras de la cubierta del
aparato ya que éstos pueden hacer contacto con partes que
están bajo tensión eléctrica. Podría provocar fuego o
descargas eléctricas.
3. No repare usted mismo este aparato. Al abrir la caja podría
tocar involuntariamente tocar partes que están bajo tensión
eléctrica. Usted también puede correr otros riesgos

a) el cable o la clavija está dañado o gastado;

Instalación
1. Inicie Windows 98, Me o 2000.
2. Conecte la clavija USB del cable USB adjunto a la conexión
USB del Hub 4 Port Compact USB.
3. Conecte el otro extremo del cable USB a un Puerto USB libre
de su ordenador.
4. El nuevo hardware será detectado y los controladores
correspondientes serán instalados automáticamente por
Windows.

COMPACT USB HUB‘. De TRUST 4 PORT COMPACT USB HUB is
te gebruiken om het aantal USB poorten op uw desktop PC of
notebook uit te breiden. Hiermee kunt u eenvoudig uw externe USB
apparaten, zoals bijvoorbeeld uw USB camera of USB joystick op uw
computer aansluiten.
Veiligheid
Lees voor het gebruik de volgende aanwijzingen goed door:
1. Gebruik dit apparaat niet in een vochtige omgeving zoals
badkamers, vochtige kelders, zwembaden, etc.
2. Steek nooit voorwerpen in de sleuven aan de buitenzijde van
het apparaat, omdat u onderdelen kunt raken die onder
spanning staan. Dit kan brand of elektrische schokken
veroorzaken.
3. Repareer dit apparaat niet zelf. Wanneer u de behuizing

5. Plaats het apparaat zo dat de kabels niet beschadigd
kunnen raken.
Installatie
1. Start Windows 98, Me of 2000.
2. Sluit de USB aansluitplug van de bijgeleverde USB kabel aan
op de USB aansluiting van de 4 Port Compact USB Hub.
3. Sluit het andere uiteinde van de USB kabel aan op een vrije
USB poort van uw computer.
4. De nieuwe hardware wordt gevonden en het bijbehorende
stuurprogramma wordt automatisch door Windows
