SECTION 1INTRODUCTION
TheROWseriesofprecision balanceprovidesan accurate,fastand versatileseries
ofgeneralpurposeweighingscalewithunitsconversion andcheck-weighing
functions.
All the keypadsaresealed,colorcoded membrane switchesandthe displaysare
largeeasytoread liquidcrystaltype displays (LCD).The LCDsaresupplied witha
backlight.
All unitsincludeautomaticzerotracking,unitsconversion ,audiblealarmforpre-set
weights,andan accumulation facilitythatallowsthe individualweightstobe stored
and recalled asanaccumulatedtotal.

GENERAL INSTALLATION
Thescalesshouldbe sited inalocationthat will not degrade the accuracy.
Avoidextremesoftemperature. Donot placeindirect sunlight ornearair conditioning
vents.
Avoidunsuitabletables.Thetablesorfloormustberigidand notvibrate.Donot
placenearvibratingmachinery.
Avoidunstablepowersources.Donotusenearlargeusersofelectricitysuchas
weldingequipmentorlargemotors.
Avoidhighhumiditythatmightcausecondensation.Avoiddirectcontactwithwater.
Donotsprayorimmersethescalesinwater.
Avoidair movementsuchasfromfansoropeningdoors.Donotplacenearopen
windows.
Keeptheindicatorclean.
Donotstack materialonthescaleswhen theyarenot inuse.

Pleasemakethe loadcell connectorfromtheload cell followthe drawingbelow
Attachthe ACpoweradaptertotheconnectoron theback of theindicator.
If you useROWforaplatformscale,youcan useattachedindicatorbracket,this
indicatorbracketisdesignfor38mmpole.

Zero
Set the zeropointforall subsequent weighing.Thedisplayshowszero.
Asecondaryfunction , of"Enter"keywhen settingparametersorotherfunctions.
Tare
Taresthescale.Storesthe currentweightinmemoryasatarevalue,subtractsthe
tarevalue fromtheweightandshowsthe results.Thisisthenetweight. Enteringa
value usingthekeypad willstorethat value asthe tarevalue.
Asecondaryfunction ,ofincrementingtheactivedigitwhen settingavaluefor
parametersorotherfunctions.

Press thekey,thescalecantoselectgrossweightornetweightafteryou tarea
weight.
Secondaryfunction ,Inthesettingmode,thiskeyusedtomoveactivedigits

SECTION 6OPERATION
6.1ZeroingTheDispla
You canpressthe ZERO keyatanytimetosetthezeropointfromwhichall other
weighingand counting ismeasured,within4%ofpowerup zero.Thiswill usually
onlybe necessarywhen theplatformisempty.Whenthe zeropointisobtained the
displaywill showthe indicatorforzero.
Thescalehasanautomaticrezeroingfunctiontoaccountforminordriftingor
accumulationof materialon the platform.Howeveryou mayneed topress the ZERO
keytorezerothe scaleifsmall amountsofweightareshownwhen theplatformis
empty.
6.2Taring
Zerothescalebypressingthe ZERO keyifnecessary.The zeroindicatorwill be on.
Placeacontainerontheplatform,avalue foritsweight will be displayed.
Press the TARE keytotarethe scale.Theweightthatwasdisplayedisstored asthe
tarevalue andthatvalue issubtractedfromthe display,leavingzeroon thedisplay.
The"TARE"indicatorwill be on.Asproductisaddedonlythe weightoftheproduct
will be shown.Thescalecouldbetaredasecondtimeifanothertype ofproductwas
tobe added tothefirstone.Againonlythe weightthatisaddedaftertaringwill be
displayed.
When thecontainerisremoved anegativevalue will be shown.If thescalewastared
justbeforeremovingthe containerthisvalueisthegross weightofthecontainerplus
all productthatwasremoved.Thezeroindicatorwill alsobe onbecausethe platform
isback tothesameconditionit waswhen the ZERO keywaslast pressed.
6.3Weighingasample
Todeterminethe weightofasamplefirsttaretheemptycontainerthenplacethe
sampleinthe container.the displaywill showthe weightand the unitsofweight
currentlyinuse.
6.4Check-Weighing
6.4.1About check-weighing
Check-weighingisaproceduretocauseanalarmtosoundwhen the weighton the
scalemeetsorexceedsvaluesstoredinmemory.The memoryholdsvaluesfora

highlimit andalowlimit.
Check mode2:
When check range,thedisplaywill showOK andthebeeperwillsoundwhen the
weight isbetween thelimits.
Check mode3:
When check range,thedisplaywill showOK andthebeeperwillsoundwhen the
weight isoutofthe limits.
6.4.2Set limits
Press the UNIT keyand M+ keytogetherintheweighingmode,itwill display “F0
H-L”, press ZERO keytoenter, use TARE keytoselect “SET HI”or “SET LO”, press
ZERO keytoenter,use G/N keytomoveactivedigit, use TARE keytochangevalue,
use UNIT keytoclearvalue.Afteryou enterthe value,press ZERO keytosure,
press UNIT keytoescape.
6.4.3Set check weighingmode
Press the UNIT keyand M+ keytogetherinthe weighingmodetoentersettingmode,
press TARE until displayshow “F3 OFF”,press ZERO keytoenter,press TARE key
until displayshow “BEEP”,press ZERO keytoenter,press TARE keytoselect BP
2(check mode2), BP3 (check mode 3), BP1(no beep),press ZERO keytosure,
press UNIT keytoescape.
6.4.4NOTE
Theweightmustbegreaterthan 20scaledivisionsforthe check-weighingto
operate.
TodisabletheCheck-Weighingfunctionenterzerointobothlimitsbypressingthe
UNIT keyand M+keytogetherinthe weighingmode,then the currentlimitsare
shown. thenset zeroand storethezerovalues.
6.5AccumulatedTotal
6.5.1Note
Thescalecan besettoaccumulatemanuallybypressingthe M+ key.Seethe
PARAMETERSSectionfordetailsofselecting the methodusingfunction "F5 P RT".
Theaccumulationfunction isonlyavailablewhen weighing.
Pleasenotebeforeeveryaccumulateoperate,scaleneedreturntozero,andonly
press M+ keywhen stable,when weightlessthan20d,accumulateoperatewill be
invalid.
6.5.2Accumulateoperate
Theweight displayed will be storedinmemorywhen the M+ keyispressed andthe

weight isstable.
Thedisplaywill show"ACC 1"and thenthetotalinmemoryfor2secondsbefore
returningtonormal.(afterdoaccumulateoperate,M+ indicatorwill turnon)Ifthe
optionalRS-232 interfaceisinstalled theweight will be outputtoaprinterorPC.
Removethe weight, allowing the scaletoreturntozeroand putasecondweighton.
Press theM+ key, thedisplaywill show"ACC 2"andthenthenewtotal.
Continueuntil all weightshavebeen added.
*Note:afteryou changeweighingunit, accumulatevaluewill be clear.
6.5.3memoryrecall
Toviewthe totalsinmemorypress M+ keyinzeropoint (ZERO indicatoron).
6.5.4memoryclear
Toclearthe memory, just press UNITkey
6.5.5automaticallyaccumulate
Atfirst, you need setscaletoautoaccumulatemode,Press the UNIT keyand M+
keytogetherinthe weighingmode,itwill display “F0 H-L”,press TARE keyuntil
displayshow “f5 prt”, press ZERO keytoenter, press TARE keytoselect “pauto”,
press ZERO keytosure,thenyou needsetbaudrateand M+ format, printtype,see
detail inSECTION7
Afteryou set, AUTO indicatoron.
Press weightonplatform,afterstable,youwill hearbeepontwice,you canadd or
remoteweightnow,scalewill beep on againafterstable,atlast, removeall weighton
platform,thelast weight value will storeinmemory
6.6AnimalScales
ROWcan setasan animalscale,you justneed set P4 CHK to mode2,see detail in
SECTION12.
Lettheanimalonthe platform,aftersomesecond,ifreadingdatachangenotalot,
you can hearbeepsound and readingdatawill be locked.
Inreadingdatalock mode,ifyou add/removebigweight, displaywill still updateand
lock newreadingdata.
6.7subtration scale
