OLYMPUS METAL PLATE INSTALLATION

Please carefully read/follow these instructions to ensure the best experience with your new purchase.
PACKING THE TUSK DRY DUFFEL BAG
1. Pack bag with desired items. Due to the high amount of weight on motorcycles, we recommend packing lighter items.
2. With air valve open, put pressure on top of bag and tightly roll top of bag downwards to compress bag. You want
a minimum 3 folds (1.5 rolls) to ensure waterproofness. Once rolled tight, close air valve.
3. Buckle and cinch down side comression straps, and then buckle and cinch top straps.
4. Insert excess straps into elastic restraints to prevent getting caught in moving or hot parts of your machine.
Velcro handles together to prevent them from getting caught or burned as well.
MOUNTING THE DUFFEL BAG TO A TOP RACK
1. Route each webbing strap into a buckle (4 straps, 2 male and 2 female buckles).
2. Loop straps around/through the top rack and back through themselves on all 4 corners of top rack.

Tusk Rack Specific Metal Plate
Hardware included
1. Metal Plate Qty: 2 5. 30mm bolt Qty: 8
2. Upper Bracket Qty: 2 6. 24mm Washer Qty: 8
3. Lower Bracket Qty: 2 7. 20mm Washer Qty: 8
4. 20mm Bolt Qty: 10 8. 13mm Lock Nut Qty: 8
Tools needed
5mm Allen/Hex Key
13mm Wrench
1. Ensure that the mounting brackets are fastened to the plate loosely using five (5) 20mm bolts.
2. Place the plate on the Tusk pannier rack, making sure that the plate is in a good central
location to the pannier rack hoop.
3.Tighten down the five (5) bolts so the plate is fixed in that location. Ensure the plate is
still able to be removed and re-mounted easily with minimal free play.
4. Repeat the process on the other side.
5. Remove both metal plates. Be mindful of which plate you had on which side and what bag you are mounting to it.
We recommend installing the bag so the side pocket with the drawstring is towards the front of the motorcycle.
6. Mount the bag to the plate by feeding a 30mm bolt and 24mm washer through the inside of the bag towards the
outside where you will place a 20mm washer and then loosely screw on a 13mm lock nut. Repeat the process
until all 4 corners of the bag are mounted to the metal plate, make sure no loose straps are between the bag
and the metal plate. Tighten the four (4) 13mm bolts on each bag.
Caution - ** Check the bolts periodically and tighten any that may have come loose.

3. Place the duffel bag on the top rack and route the straps through the D-rings on the 4 corners of the bag.
4. Buckle the straps together and tighten so the bag is firmly compressed against the top rack.
CAUTION
- SECURE ALL STRAPS.
- INSPECT LUGGAGE BEFORE AND DURING RIDING TO ENSURE THAT
CONTENT SHIFTS HAVE NOT CAUSED STRAPS TO LOOSEN.
- MAKE SURE STRAPS/BAGS ARE NOT IN CONTACT WITH ANYTHING HOT OR SHARP.
- WARRANTY IS NOT VALID FOR MELTED/DAMAGED BAGS, STRAPS,
OR PERSONAL PROPERTY DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION.

Universal Metal Plate

1. Loosly mount four (4) “U” Brackets using the 16mm Bolts and two (2) “L” Brackets with
the 10mm Bolts to the plate.
2. Place the Universal plate on the pannier rack of your motorcycle. Depending on your pannier
rack system you may need to move the brackets to different slots.
3.Tighten down the four (4) “U” Bolts and two (2) “L” Bolts so the plate is fixed in that location. Ensure
the plate is still able to be removed and re-mounted easily with minimal free play.
4. Repeat the process on the other side, remove both plates and route the 1.5” strap through the plates.
**Be mindful of which plate you had on which side and what bag you are mounting to it. We recommend
installing the bag so the side pocket with the drawstring is towards the front of the motorcycle.**
5. Mount the bag to the plate by feeding a 30mm bolt and 24mm washer through the inside of the bag towards the
outside where you will place another washer and then loosely screw on a 13mm lock nut. Repeat the process
until all 4 corners of the bag are mounted to the metal plate, make sure no loose straps are between the bag
and the metal plate. Tighten the four (4) 13mm bolts on each bag.
Caution - ** Check the bolts periodically and tighten any that may have come loose.

PACKING THE TUSK DRY DUFFEL BAG
1. Pack bag with desired items. Due to the high amount of weight on motorcycles, we recommend
packing lighter items.
2. Roll top of bag downwards until the roll reaches the top of the items. Allow for the air to
release from the bag. You want a minimum 3 folds (1.5 rolls) to ensure waterproofness.
3. Buckle roll top together.
4. Please note the front zipper pocket is only Water Resistant. The main pocket of the bag is
Waterproof when rolled properly.

MOUNTING AND FILLING TUSK OLYMPUS BAG SYSTEM
1. Secure both Olympus bags to the pannier rack.
2. Ensure that the 3 top straps are tightly secured to the Olympus bags. Buckle the 3 top straps
of the bags together over the top rack of the motorcycle and ensure they are tight.
3. Place the Tusk Defender Dry Bags inside the Olympus bags.
4. Pack desired items inside the dry bags and roll top of dry bag down. You want
a minimum 3 folds (1.5 rolls) to ensure waterpoofness.
5. Roll the top of the Olympus bag down until the items inside the bag restricts
rolling down futher. You want a minimum of 3 folds (1.5 Rolls).
6. Buckle the rolled top into the designated buckles on the sides of the bags and tighten the straps.

3. Place the Tusk X-Small/Small Dry Duffel Bag onto the top rack and route the straps through the
webbing on the sides of the bag.
4. Buckle the straps together and tighten so the bag is firmly compressed against the top rack.

7. Loop the 1” top compression straps through the designated D-rings on the front of the
bags, then buckle them back up to the designated buckles and tighten the strap.
8. Place desired items in side pockets. You want a minimum 3 folds (1.5 rolls) on the roll down side pocket.
CAUTION
- Secure or remove excess strap to prevent straps from getting caught or burnt.
*Warranty is not valid for improper installation
- Inspect luggage before/during riding adventures. As contents shift, straps may loosen.
