Safety instructions & general use
Use of products
The ollowing products are covered by this operating manual:
•Qi100, Qi200, Qi300, Qi400 & Qi500
The products listed above are a series o ultrasonic cleaning baths designed
or indoor use by a pro essional user.
When used to clean surgical/medical instruments, the products listed above
are classed as medical devices.
Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should be reported to
the manu acturer and the competent authority o the Member State in which the user
and/or patient is established.
Electrical Safety
Connect to a 230VAC ully earthed supply via a 3pin plug.
It can be dangerous to operate an ultrasonic bath without an earth
connected.
The Qi- Series machines are rated at up to 1750W maximum.
The detachable mains leads are rated at 250V 6A or the Qi100, Qi200 &
Qi300 models and 250V 10A or the Qi400 & Qi500 models. NEVER FIT A
LEAD WITH A LOWER RATING.
The IEC electrical socket on the rear o the unit is itted with 2 (time-lag)
uses: Qi100, Qi200 & Qi300 – with T5A and Qi400 & Qi500 – with T10A.
NEVER FIT A FUSE OF A HIGHER RATING.
The detachable mains lead is the disconnect device and should remain
accessible while the machine is in use.
Ensure that excess mains cable is stored neatly.
General use
Do not place ingers, hands, or other parts o the body in the liquid in the
bath when it is sonicating.
Fill the Qi-Series with cold water. This will ensure that the machine runs its
automatic de-gas cycle (see page 25 or the importance o degassing).
Always ensure the liquid is above the level sensor when in operation.
