GENERAL INFORMATION
Warning alarms are designed to provide an audible warning when the vehicle is reversing or under other hazardous
situations. A range of models are available to suit all applications. Ensure that the model you are tting is
appropriate for the intended use.

FITTING
Select a mounting position at the back of the vehicle, which will allow your alarm to operate properly, even in
adverse conditions:
• Mount in a position which allows the unobstructed sound projection to the hazard area.
• Mount the alarm securely through xing holes provided.
• The alarm must not be tted facing upwards or downwards.
• Protect from impact, ying objects and dirt.
• Keep away from high temperature areas around the engine or exhaust.
N.B. Do not install a Self-Adjusting Alarm in a conned space where an echo eect may interfere with the self-
adjusting volume operation.

OPERATION
When tting is completed, connect the battery earth cable and test operation. The alarm will operate when reverse
gear is engaged.
DUAL NIGHT SHIFT FUNCTION
Night shift models are activated by engaging reverse gear twice in quick succession:
• If the YELLOW CABLE is not cut, the sound will be reduced by 12 dB under night shift mode.
• If the YELLOW CABLE is cut, the alarm will be silent (0 dB) under night shift mode.
SELF-ADJUSTING FUNCTION
Alarm with self-adjusting function constantly detects the ambient noise and will continually adjust itself to 5dB
above ambient noise levels. Test the unit regularly thereafter for proper function. Warning alarms are strictly meant
as safety aids and are not a substitute for proper care and attention while manoeuvring a vehicle.
